Took my truck here for a claim through Max care warranty. The office people were rude. They diagnoses my truck and told me they took pictures and files a claim with my warranty. They said they would call me within a couple hours once they get approval. I called them every day for 3 days for updates and all they would say is the claim is started a.d they were waiting. I then called max care and was told that they never even started a claim. That they had not received any pictures or anything else. I took my truck to my own repair shop and had a claim started within 4 hours.. I do not recommend Continental Muffler for any auto repairs. read more

If I could put no stars I would...... I went in for a flange gasket to be replaced.they cut the flange out all together and welded a straight pipe, NOT WHAT I ASKWD FOR!!! then I got it back and both manifold gaskets where bad because of a warped "header" which was a lie I just put them on. They charged me 500$ for something that I didnt want and to put the cherry on top they put a massive dent on passenger side corner panel . I'm very disappointed in this place, Please dont take your car there. I paid way to much for the truck to sound even worse. Came to get some simple exhaust hangers made and welded on a Toyota MR2. I should have gone somewhere else! The owner welded onto weak thin metal which broke with 2 weeks. Came back to have it fixed and the owners attitude changed completely from my first visit. He welded a plate over the hole his weld made in my car and it looks horrible. Would you want to open your hood and see something like this? It's going to cost me more to have the damages made by this guy! I told him it looked like garbage and he said if I wanted it better it would be a customized job and cost more. Are you freaking kidding me!!!! read more

We asked for our old catalytic converter back after having it replaced . They refused - said that by law they can't. There is no such law. We called all surrounding muffler shops including the Acura dealership in stockton service dept., midas and other muffler shops and they said that if a customer requests a part back they give it back to them for they own the Origional part . When I spoke with hector at the shop he gave me a 1800 number for a ca gov air site that's closed on the weekend and told us under no circumstances for I'll he give us the part back . We finally called lodi police dept who had to waste their valuable time and call to talk to hector - we are waiting to possibly have to request a police stand by in order to get our part back. read more

I had a special request of cutting my rear bumper to fit a custom exhaust set up... which they don't typically do but we're accommodating. The owner even took it amongst himself to do the job himself since I was concerned of the outcome. The worker who i dealt with at first had awful customer service BUT the lady at the front desk and the owner were very nice and took great care of me. I appreciate the service and will come back. I ordered muffler deletion and they messed up and my car makes a rattling noise come back to fix but they make me wait 3 hours

Do NOT take your vehicle here! Scammers. My vehicle was in this shop 5 days the first time and within 24 hour my car left me stranded. I towed the vehicle bk to the shop and it was there for 17 MORE DAYS!!! Within another 24 hour and over a thousand dollars in fees the problem WAS NOT resolved. They did not call to update the progress of the vehicle during this time. I had to call and ask for them to call me with any updates which never happened. They never mentioned that there was a pending check engine light code until, I called them and told them my check engine light was on.highly unprofessional place. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. I took my 98 Cherokee there to get full exhaust done from the header back, I told them exactly what I wanted them to do and made it very clear about what was going on with the exhaust. I told them the header needed to be heated up and pulled away from the motor because it was slightly touching it and making a vibrating noise. I picked me jeep up the next day with the exhaust done but the header still rattling around. I called them to ask what was going on and they told me to bring it in, they would fix the vibrating free of charge (Points for customer serivice) after I picked it up for the second time the guy at the front desk tried telling me I went wheeling or something and bent the exhaust. (I did no such thing) he said he fixed all the rattling and it was good to go. Literally as I'm backing out of the shop parking lot it is rattling like crazy but i did not want to hop out and say anything because it was practically there closing time. Not only did they not heat up my header and fix that problem, I now have another rattling at the tail pipe that was never there before. So they basically ignored what I told them to do and only made it worse. Not worth it for me to take it back for a third time, already ignored me twice they would probably ignore me again. read more

Called to set up an appointment for muffler delete and was told $50 each muffler(since my car has two) went in and the mechanic right off the jump started shooting random prices at me. He said what I wanted was going to go for $350. He went off how it's going to be more cause he had to do more work. Like if I didn't I know about cars. I just wanted the mufflers off. So he suggested to take off my resonator instead for $100 saying it's the better choice. Made my car sound worse. Like a modified lawn mower. The mechanic made me pay him not at the desk. Pay him!? He pocketed the money and walked out. No receipt, nothing. Huge red flag. I didn't complain I was too upset. And to top it off he broke the button inside my car that adjust my mirrors. Called them to see if we can work something out and they said they would call me and never did. The guy sounded shook. Not going back. Good work isn't cheap, cheap work isn't good. In this case it was pricey and bad. Now my car sounds bad with broken buttons. Go to Antonio's on main street(stockton) for real work. You'll regret going here in Lodi. read more
