As always, it's like entering a new shopping dimension upon arriving. We had to cut back expenses for awhile & in a misguided moment of insanity I cancelled our membership (insert face palm emoji here, lol). What did I do without it? Everyone at this location is so helpful & courteous. Recently had a tire replaced, while I enjoyed the $1.50 famous hot dog & drink for lunch, ordered my contacts, picked up a $5 rotisserie chicken that our family of 4 will get at least 8 meals out of, and picked up a few household items I needed (not sure the dark chocolate sea salt caramels was necessary, but opps). Then stopped for gas on the way out. Definitely helps with gas prices today! The environment is your typical warehouse, but clean inside. Highly recommend & will be back! So glad to be back cruising those aisles, finding great deals, and trying out the samples (& yes...I ended up buying those too). read more

This Costco is nowhere near convenient for me, but was so worth the drive! I actually came to this one specifically for their AT&T booth to upgrade my husband and I's phones. The staff working the booth were great and ensured we got everything we needed. During the week in the mornings/afternoons, the store isn't busy at all which makes shopping an absolute breeze! It's also great to have a quiet stroll while looking at all of the fun Christmas decorations (it's that time of year!). The weekend was definitely busier, but still easy to get around. Longmont Costco has plenty of business. They don't want yours. Okay, here's the full story. I had a nail in my tire and a relatively quick leak. I called at 10 a.m. to schedule an appointment to get the leak repaired. First available appointment, 1:45 p.m. At 1:45 p.m., I arrived and checked in, and I was told it will be an hour to an hour and a half. That is to say, a scheduled appointment leak repair, which might be a 10-minute job, was an hour and a half. I then left because I'm not going to spend an hour and a half sitting there after I scheduled an appointment three hours and 45 minutes after the store opened. I called the customer service manager at Longmont Costco and I explained the situation, to which the manager replied, Well, that's unacceptable, and nothing further. Now, I don't know what it is that I expected other than to say, Sir, that's unacceptable, why don't you turn around and come back, we'll replace your tire right now, we'll repair your tire right now. Clearly, when you scheduled an appointment, you shouldn't be told an hour and a half to repair a flat. Something along those lines is what I expected. The insolence, the corporate go-pound-sand of yes sir, that's unacceptable and then complete silence tells you everything you need to know about Costco corporate, which is they hate their customers. You're just a pain to them. Anyway, that's the full story. If you can fight your way through the Costco entry gate of showing your card 14 times only to walk around the store to get to the tire shop, you will then be told one hour 30 minutes for a 10-minute job that you scheduled with them unapologetically and to your face. The fact of the matter is they enjoy it and they resent their customers, that's the full story. Oh, how did this story end? I drove over to Sam's, rolled up to the tire shop, they repaired my tire in 10 minutes for free after I told them they were Costco tires and expected to pay for the repair, and they said, Hey, we'll repair it for you, but just so you know, Costco is going to void your warranty because someone else repaired your puncture. That's right, Costco now voided my Costco tire warranty because Sam's repaired the tire. So, I will be going to Sam's for my next set of tires. read more

Their customer service for starters. Went there today with my adult daughter to get the tires on her truck rotated. She doesn't have her own card because you can only have 2 cards per household. Mine and my wife's! So I go with her to show my card and I can't get in. Why, because it's before 10am and only Executive membership holders can go get their tires rotated before 10am. Okay, so we wait. In the meantime the same guy that tells me I can't go to the tire department lets people in to do returns and never checks their membership cards! I ask how long this has been in going on? They tell me a month! News to me! Finally get in and the tire guy tells me today is an install only day! What?! I tell him that this is my day off and it works out today for my daughter and I to be here to get this done based on schedules and again only two card holders in the family. They make a decision after talking to the manager to allow me to get my tires rotated, but not without letting me know it's going to be a 75-90 minute wait! What?! It's a tire rotation!! Okay so I let them do their thing, I mean I've only wasted an hour of my day so far! Plus it should be noted at 9am if they'd have let me in we'd have been done in 20 minutes as they had 1 car in their bays! I ask the tire guy how long this Executive membership thing has been going on? He says a year, not true because I've shopped before 10am there in the last year. Then his coworker says he thinks it's been a month, nobody seam to know! In the meantime I ask to speak to a store manager. I tell him about the situation and he says yes there should be some consistency but says nothing to reassure me that he'll take care of it. He seems less than willing to do anything much less put me at ease with the situation and at least try to seem sympathetic to my morning debacle! Instead he tries to up sale me by asking if I'd like to change my membership to Executive! They don't care one bit here at this store. Just how many people can we get in and take their money! Super disappointed. Customer service is at an all time low, unless you're an Executive. read more

So happy to have a Costco in Longmont! I give the store in general 4 stars, and I imagine as they have time to get more settled it will be even better. I give Dr. Timothy Whitmire, the eye doctor/Ophthalmologist 2 stars. To his credit he recommended a better fitting contact lens than I had before which has made a significant improvement for me and which I appreciate. On the other hand everything else about my experience with him was strange. He has not taken the time to understand and offer a clear process for getting contact lens prescriptions filled by the Costco eye center. He leaves it up to you to figure out the system, to bring the prescription to the center when they're right there --I guess he can't be bothered. When I called the eye center to order my contacts they told me to call the eye doctor but Dr. Whitmire told me to call them. Eventually I got Dr. Whitmire's wife when I called and she was actually helpful as well as gracious. Bottom line: you have to go into the store to order your contacts, Dr.Whitmire can't or won't do that for you. You have to do it in person. And you have to bring in your prescription --Dr. Whitmire won't/won't provide the prescription to the eye center. None of that has been true when getting contact lenses from any other Costco I've been to. When I first arrived for my eye exam I was greeted by the doctor -only he never introduced himself so I thought he was the receptionist, not a big deal but just another indicator of his lack of ability to communicate. Then during the whole eye exam he talked non stop explaining and re-explaining very simple concepts over and over. I couldn't tell if he was mansplaining or if he was just anxious and simply had to keep talking. Even when I let him know I understood he kept re-explaining. A very strange encounter indeed. Next time I'll get my exam elsewhere but still buy my contacts at Costco. read more

The Supervisors (especially David) are amazing at this location. Me and my mother are frequent shoppers here and we are always welcomed and spoken to with amazing charity. The facilities are very clean and well kept. We love Costco! read more

I live in Lafayette and decided to pay a visit to the new Longmont location. There were no since of direction for the customer service or return line. I waited for 30 minutes just to be told I'm in the wrong line. No welcoming or "I'll be right with you." Their customer service associates were not very helpful or organized. I love Costco and I wont be returning to Longmont. I'll continue to support my Louisville location where they care about their customer and is very friendly. read more

Honestly wouldn't even give this Costco 1 star. Every time I've gone to this store the employees are extremely rude & have no customer service skills. They even made it difficult for me to receive my membership. I gave the store chance after chance but after it being the same thing every time I will not be returning. This membership was a complete waste of money. Will continue to take my business to Sam's club instead. read more
