The staff is unhelpful and rude. The last two times we checked out the cashier didnt even say our total. Didnt speak to us at all. Plus it's always so busy. Still going to shop at costco becuase its costco but you would think the cashiers could give a friendly hello every once in a while since you have to pay a membership fee. or help you when you have a question on the sales floor instead of ignoring you or joking around with their coworkers. I am so impressed with the speed of the checkout. They fly through orders of all sizes. Everyone is very pleasant in the Mesa store My only problem is they don't consistently carry some of my favorite chocolate products. Their rotisserie chicken is delicious. The store itself is fine when it isn't jam packed. But do NOT buy anything with costco delivery! They use a company called CEVA who is TERRIBLE!!!!!! Look up Ceva home delivery reviews. I bought a set of Michelin tires from the tire center here and got an amazing deal on them! I bought the tires in May and in September I ended up having a blowout on one of the tires and was slightly worried that it wouldn't be covered. Not only did Jarod at the tire center help me out and the warranty covered the tires, but I was able to get in and out within 2 hours and it was completely hassle free!! Costco delivery is really terrible, if you need something delivered timely, order from some where else. I don't usually review companies but have had multiple bad experiences. We ordered a TV which the delivery drivers delivered to someone else's house because they mixed my name up with someone else's. When we turned the Tv on the screen was damaged, and they expect me to take the TV down after I've had professional installation. We ordered mango juice once which was lost for 3 days? And came in a broken bottle and mango juice spilled all over the package. We ordered a washer and dryer and it was delivered to the wrong location so our 5 week delivery time turned into 7 weeks with no washer and dryer. They did not offer a discount or refund or really anything for the TV or washer and dryer issue. They did refund the mango juice. Those are the only deliveries we ever had from Costco so it's not like every once in a while the delivery sucks, the 3 out of 3 times we ordered delivery had problems. I gave 2 stars because I do like the brick and mortar store, products, and pricing. read more

COSTCO & MICHELIN! The four Michelin tires that Costco put on our Toyota Tundra truck in the year 2010 have surpassed their 70,000-mile tread wear warranty. The performance of these tires has been outstanding. Never so much as a flat! The 2001 Tundra had 120,000 miles when we bought those tires and it now has 198,000 miles with two of the four tires showing enough tread wear to indicate it's time for new tires. If we had been a bit more meticulous in tire rotation (which is free at Costco, for the life of tires purchased there) we probably could have got another 10,000 miles from these Michelins. The courtesy and the service at the Sossaman Costco tire and battery department in East Mesa, Az has been superb, I might add. read more

Came into Cosco today as soon as I came through the entrance I was stopped by the lady doing the head count. The lady asked me if I was Law enforcement I said no I'm not law-enforcement but I was legally carrying my gun on a holster on my waist and she said to wait for the supervisor because if I was not law-enforcement I was not allowed to come into Costco with a gun. The supervisor came he told me that I needed to leave because I had a gun, I told him he did not show the sign on the doors or where visible "no guns allowed". He told me upper management toke it down . I don't go to businesses that have a no guns allowed because I don't want to give them my money!!! I am extremely upset this happen to me, I have gone to multiple Costco's here in Arizona and I have never had a problem. I am immediately canceling my membership to Costco and I hope that somebody from management replies back to me or if they don't give a damn they won't respond to this post here on yelp but I am definitely going to take my business elsewhere where they accept me and my gun. Now I'm really getting annoyed! Not only does the Costco brand toilet paper suck but now I purchased the Costco brand Plastic Wrap. Yikes!! It is the worst ever! Nothing is more irritating than rolling out a store brand that is good and then to do the bait and switch down the road. Just like the toilet paper, it used to be good but now it stinks! They think consumers are too dumb to notice??? What I hate most is that all the name brands that I used to go to Costco to get are now gone and replaced with their inferior Costco name brand products. I love to save a buck and purchase store brand items but I'm very disappointed in the Costco brand items. Initially they are great and then they change the packaging and the product becomes inferior. Costco is usually very good with their customer service but in the past year I have been very disappointed. The location itself is good but the customer services reps at the counter have not been friendly the past few times we have needed to return an item and this past trip they upset us a great deal. I have no issue with their policy's but rather with the employee not knowing the correct information and assuring us the issue will be resolved and then on our next encounter denying that those words were ever said. We will be looking for a better location from now on with friendly and helpful employees! read more

Favorite place to get samples and try new things. Has a great variety of items. Can always find a bargain when I go. The meat section is great and the prepared meals and rotisserie chicken can solve all your needs for dinner. The bakery has the best prepared cakes for all occasions and will also customize to suit your needs. I highly recommend stopping in. It is well worth the membership fee. read more

Pharmacy is the WORST! Waited in line for a flu shot , to be told to get in another line . After 15 minutes in the 2nd line we filled out some paper work and were given a beeper. They said in 15-20 minutes when it goes off go up to the register , pay and get your shot. Ok, after almost 1 hour at Costco later it goes off, we go up to the pharmacy register with our little buzzer to be told to get back in line of over 20 people, no thanks! read more

If I had to pick a store to live in, this would be it. Ya know...like Tom Hanks living in the airport terminal. That would be me, in the Costco for a few years continuously. They have a bed set up for me to sleep on, various couches and chairs to lounge about on, exercise and outdoor equipment to keep me fit, and free food for me to eat served by nice old people. If I had a complaint it would be that those nice old people don't give me enough-the portion size is way too small. How am I supposed to survive and maintain a healthy weight on those little "sample size" servings? Stop being so cheap Costco. read more

Today the GM Tony called me and talked to me about my situation the other day at Costco. Tony was real respectful and said that that wasn't the way to handle this situation and that they should have made an exception because it was just diapers and that he will address the issue and it would never happen again. I shop at this Cosco because it's the closest one to my home so if I need to pick up something quick I go to this one however the Gilbert location on country club road they employees seem to be much friendlier and more helpful so if I have an issue or concern are usually end up there I was shopping today and I noticed that the table top fire pit I purchased has now a $50 rebate wow what a great deal I found a gentleman a red vest that was assisting a fellow employee in the clothing department I told him when I had noticed and that I had purchased it before the rebate was on the sign he told me to go to membership I didn't even need to return or need my receipt go to membership they could look it up through my membership card and if it was in the last 30 days they would give me a refund I went to membership only a few people there a grown motioned me to come over that was going to help me and I told her what I was informed on the floor before I can even get the story out she's asking me if I have my receipt that's not normally the way it's done do I know who I talk to I just left I've had issue with this employee in the past two other occasions I've gone to them for help and had her and was either told me they don't do it it couldn't be done or it's not allowed or is not returnable or possible so I go to the Gilbert location no questions asked my question is why is this person allowed to be customer facing if she's not willing to help people when I drive 10 minutes to the next Costco and it's not an issue if you want something quick go to this one if you think you're going to have a problem or need to talk to someone make sure you don't get the lady I got in membership because she's no help I will try to do all my shopping at the Gilbert location now read more

This Costco Optical center is the absolute worst. 1) I go in to order glasses. I like to wear big frames but the worker said they fit my face and went ahead and ordered them. When I went to pick them up they were not even CLOSE to the correct prescription. 2) I go in to return the glasses and it takes me about 45-60 minutes to get the woman helping me to believe I wasn't lying. After all that they manage to return my money to me. 3) They did not retune my vision benefits after all that, and I had to call and be put on hold for another 45 minutes while my insurance tried to re-explain Costco's own mistake to them. 4) Benefits restored, I went back to Costco today to buy THE SAME glasses that I had already ordered and the lady there wouldn't sell them to me! She said they would never work on my face and would be too heavy. This place is a mess, I have never had such problems at any other Costco. read more

The ultimate in bulk. I went Thursday evening and it was jam packed. I took my sweet time going down every aisle, and reading labels with my VERY active 7 year old to wear him out. The lines were long, but moved very fast. Sat down afterwards to feed my Costco dog addiction, and people watch. It was fun for us both. The only gripe I had was people taking my cart. It happened twice. Luckily both times there was only one or two things in it. Still annoying, but that in no way reflects badly on Costcos part. We'll definitely be back. read more
