Recently, my glasses broke while I was playing with my sister's dog, and I stopped by the office hoping for some help. The experience started off a little frustrating, and I didn't feel my concerns were fully understood at first. However, after I asked to speak with a doctor, Savannah stepped in and completely changed the experience. She took the time to listen, looked into the situation, consulted with management, and followed up with me the next day. When my replacement glasses were mistakenly sent to an old address, Savannah went above and beyond by personally driving to the home and leaving her business card in an effort to help recover them. That level of customer service is rare. While the situation itself was frustrating, Savannah's professionalism, persistence, and willingness to help turned it into a positive experience. After more than 15 years as a patient, I can confidently say that Dr. Mashouf and the medical team have earned my trust. No office is perfect, but how a team responds when something goes wrong says a lot about its culture. He explained I had severe dry eyes and gave me a plan to help. It's been 2 months and having had eye pain for years, I no longer suffer. I now use Oasis artificial tears (preservative free), OcuSoft eyelid scrub and warm wet compress on eyes everyday. My eyes never felt better. He did not try to sell me glasses I don't need or talk me into surgery I don't need. One opthamologist even tried to put a needle in my eyes and wasn't giving me anytime to even think about it so I walked out. Give Dr Bloomberg a try. You will be very happy you did.

He wrote up the paperwork for high-index. Never once asked about 1.67 vs 1.74 and the chromatic issues caused with my astigmatism. No, he just charged me extra for "high index" lenses, then ordered me some polycarbonate bottlecaps. This really is fraud, but I'm too busy to deal with it. My old glasses are still fine and the prescription didn't change.

I liked the receptionist and the doctor I interacted with. Both were friendly and professional. I ordered some colored contacts and they got them for me in a day. They estimated up to a week to get them in, then beat that estimate by a lot. Nice. Their bathroom is very clean, well-kept, and smelled nice. That's always a good thing! Much appreciated. Our search was rewarded, we found and have been working with Dr Guiang and his highly trained staff at Mira Mesa optometry (MMO) since that time (1999/2000). Because of MMO's awesomeness, they have also been my family's optometrist for many years. But, the best endorsement we have is from our affected employees & we have the data to base this review on. You see, I schedule all of our affected employee's eye exams and then always follow up and ask them how they were treated and what their overall impression of their experience was; to date it has been 100% positive. In addition, many of our employees are also choosing to go to Mira Mesa optometry as their personal optometrist, too. MMO is easy to find in Mira Mesa - they're even better to work with and they do take many different insurance plans!
