Always a great dinner idea. Pizza is large and cheap and tastes delicious! Cannot go wrong! Employees are kind. While you wait for your pizza you can shop and see what else Costco has to offer. Win / win!

Think twice before you purchase from their kiosks!!!! This is flooring purchased through Costco and installed by Stu's Flooring in Greenfield. The flooring was installed in August of 2020 as the owners prepared the home for sale. I purchased on July 1, 2021. Neither will stand behind the product or installation. Stu's said the 30 year warranty lifetime installation doesn't transfer. Costco refuses to speak with me because I'm not on the original order. Funny I have warranties on the furnace, windows and composite deck but neither of these businesses will stand behind this shotty work. Beware!!!

Kinda pops up outta nowhere here!

Nice Costco! It's a bit smaller than your typical location, but also newer being only 5 years old. It's also located just a couple miles off of I-94, so pretty convenient if you're up thisaway. It kinda pops up atypically in the middle of a mostly residential looking area, at least coming off of I-94, so don't be surprised! The place naturally has friendly WI folk for staff and also a friendly relaxed vibe at least on this weekday afternoon. Sales tax is only 5.5%, so that's a pretty healthy savings for an Illinoisan anyway. Gas is also significantly cheaper - today it was $3.489/gal for regular and that's currently 88 cents/gal cheaper than any Costco in Cook County IL. You can also pick up some economically priced New Glarus Spotted Cow ale while here, and if you're a fan, you'll know that it's only sold in WI. I actually came up to buy a 27" iMac that was on a timely sale for us, but being a sloppy shopper had a last second change of mind when I realized it had an older generation chip. It was still a worthwhile trip and actually not that far for us, and I was glad to have dropped in here.

Such a distinguished name for a wine

In comparison to my neighborhood Costco, there are some advantages in coming here, whilst in Wisconsin. First, it's less crowded and the folks seem less grumpy - which I really like. The Cheaper gas is nice too, not as many taxes, I suppose. And I always try to find the local products when I'm in an out of state Costco, they usually have a few. And guess what - at this WI Costco, they have New Glarus beer!! What a treat, along with having Omegas, hard to believe, I know. I'm sure they have kringles too, if I recall correctly. So if you're going to Milwaukee, Racine, Pleasant Prairie Mall, Tenuta's, etc. - this is such a convenient and great location, you should stop by and load gas, at the very least.

Found these short sleeve T-shirts for $12.99!

Costco always has the great deals and I make a stop at the food court and the gas station on almost every visit.

I haven't shopped there yet since I just joined. Do you bring your own shopping bags? I'm not sure what to do there.

You can bring your own shopping bags or they also have boxes available for you to use.

Over…read moretime, this mall has generally been a good spot to gather with a quality set of stores, though there's definitely a lot more competition nearby with good options in all of the surrounding shopping centers that cover all the different varieties of shops and restaurants. With lots of indoor malls closing nearby, this setup has become a bit more of a rarity, and personally I still like having a large spot with furniture to sit down at when I need to rest, a climate controlled area for when it's too hot or cold outside, and lots of fun spots to do seasonal pictures. With Hawthorn 2.0, I'm quite excited for what is to come. It looks like there will be a fresh set of solid anchors like Perry's Steakhouse, AMC, Dave & Busters, Macy's, etc. If this develops similarly to Randhurst, this would be a great spot to gather in Vernon Hills. Even before this is complete however, Hawthorn Mall has retained more quality tenants and has an overall cleaner and more modern look than some of the other indoor malls nearby. With the next closest similar offering being Woodfield Mall, this is still a fairly unique offering.

I couldn't believe how many name brand stores are out of the place. Many kiosks that were all closed up and not even open. The good stores all left. There was NOT a good selection of places to shop from, just totally expecting something better for a richer area of Illinois. The Hot Topic store is large and they carried a lot of good things with plenty of stock items, but you could tell they didn't have much merchandise, the store is just that large. The bath and body works is very small and doesn't have everything like other stores. The customer service was good, but man this place is just a ghost town. Higher prices for not the best items either, just not worth the money or drive.

Coming from Boston, I had heard the news that Time Out Market is closing its doors (in both…read morelocations!) in the next week, and I was looking forward to seeing what the Chicago food hall looked like. I was surprised to see that the website does allow reservations for large groups, so we booked through Resy a few days before coming. When we arrived at Fulton Market, it took a few tries but we happily found street parking. It was a little bit overwhelming when we first walked in. It feels "bigger" than the original food hall in Lisboa or the one in Boston - not necessarily in square footage, but primarily in energy. It was very busy and especially loud, and there was a DJ booth in the corner that felt closer to a club than a restaurant. I'm guessing part of this might be because it was a Friday night, but curious if it's been busier than normal since the announcement of the market's impending closure. The "reservation" system felt nominal at best, as there weren't any tables set up when we got there - by the time I was able to flag down staff for the food hall, it would have taken quite a while for them to find seats and move them together. In the end we were able to find a corner that worked out pretty well. Similar to the Boston location, you can order online. It didn't feel prominently advertised, as the food stalls themselves all had long lines and were pretty understaffed. In addition, after ordering online, there was no notification that the order was ready for pick-up (for several of the stalls). And while TOM is in a pretty central part of Chicago, the food felt spectacularly expensive for what you were getting. Pretty much everything was over $20 (before tax + tip) for an okay amount of food. On top of that, in our large 15+ person group, the vast majority of us felt that the food was definitively below average quality. Mine in particular was Bill Kim Ramen Bowl's tofu rice bowl. It was a depressing mix of unseasoned tofu cubes, dry arugula, kimchi, plain white rice with no sauce, a handful of pickled veggies, and a half-avocado that wasn't even sliced. It tasted about how it looks. None of that surprises me, but it felt like a far cry from the Lisboa concept, where I was a repeat customer for the high-quality food by distinguished chefs at extremely affordable prices. I'm glad I went, but won't be especially sad to see it go.

It was great! Been to their location in Barcelona, New York, and Boston. Love the local food…read moreoptions they have. Tried the dumplings and cupcakes. Both were delicious! The ambiance is nice per usual. Highly recommend!
