    Costco Sushi
    Erik S.

Sometimes, you just gotta see how the other Kirkland Signatures are living, so from time to time.. it's fun to check out a Costco in a completely different area, because you never know how it will differ from your home Costco. Decisively... the most unique one I have ever been to is the one in Iceland. This one where I conveniently stopped for gas and then a quick peruse, had two things that I love. The first, being that it's a Costco in a state that isn't stupid about alcohol sales (looking at you North Carolina), is that liqour is available here. A benefit that I simply don't get, and can only experience in other states. The second, is that sushi is made daily here, because California. When I stopped in, I had to try this sushi, to see how it might reasonably compare. The first thing I am certain of, is that there is nowhere in California where you get two maki rolls and 6 pieces of salmon nigiri for this low price, and have it be safe to eat. While the sushi suffers from the same foibles that any grocery store sushi would (rice consistency, being too cold, etc.) I will definitely say the fish was tasty and fresh. I would eat it again. It definitely needed to include more than 1 small pack of "wasabi" for the amount given though. Getting gas was the easiest part of this Costco run. There were so many pumps, I didn't even have to wait in line. I also didn't have trouble parking, even on a Sunday. Overall, this was a nice Costco experience. I wish my home Costco had some of these amenities.

I love costco food court. $1.5 hotdog and drink is unbeatable. Taste was also good. Peperonin pizza is my favorite item. Cheese pizza is good as well. Chocolate vanilla ice cream sundae was a good dessert. Fortunately there was Dubai chocolate ice cream bar when I went. But next time I was there it was gone. They had kulfi instead. I fill up gas when I am here. Milk and egg are reasonable here.

You might be wondering why someone would write a Yelp review for a Costco. Fair. But hear me out. I come to this location often because it's the most convenient. I live between the Foster City and Redwood City Costcos, and since I do a workout nearby, it's an easy stop on the way home. The value here is solid. I consistently get good prices on staples like eggs, Greek yogurt, collagen, and sparkling water. Gas prices are also a big reason I keep coming back. You really can't beat the deals. What's frustrating is the service. I don't expect over-the-top friendliness, but a lot of the staff seem annoyed or disengaged. I'm not someone who needs help or asks a lot of questions. I just want to be treated like a regular person. My last visit summed it up. The receipt checker mumbled something I couldn't understand, marked my paper, and let it dangle without handing it back. I had to reach out and take it while he looked the other way. It was small, but after so many cold interactions, it stood out. There have been better moments. Once I couldn't find a specific kind of beef jerky, and a guy stocking shelves actually stopped to help me look. We didn't find it, but he made the effort, and I appreciated that. So yes, the value is great. But I can get the same value at other Costco locations where the service feels better. I'll probably keep coming here for convenience, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

This Costco is in Redwood City. I don't particularly like the design of the parking lot since it feels like there is often gridlock trying to get out but there's really only one main way in and out. There is a side exit by the tires but you're forced to turn right and it's awhile before you can make a U-turn. The Costco itself is nice, standard stuff. They carry a lot of produce, food, clothing, you name it. I buy paper goods here a lot (toilet paper, paper towels.) The produce is also decent but if it goes bad too fast you can get a refund if you return the product or show them a picture of the bad product.

I went to shop as usual and whenever it was time to check out. The cashier had a really bad and awful attitude. She didn't greet me at all. No a word from her month came out which is perfectly fine we don't have to be chatting. But her face said everything. Very aggressive putting the item back in the cart, once my purchase was done and I was exiting they stop me because she didn't scanned the item in the bottom of my cart because of the same attitude that she had since the begging of the transaction. Her name is Alma Z.

Apparently everyone else had the same idea as me to get gas before the holiday! Haha

I've been to this particular, Costco gas station a number of times, I always forget to write a review. Lol. I didn't realize that this gas station has a number of pumps, but each station only has two pumps per row. The other Costco gas stations perhaps are newer and they have four or six pumps per row. Now I want to go back and count everything. Lol. Nevertheless, I was glad I was in my air-conditioned car. Everybody was getting gas since it was July 3. Lol they're expensive. Gas was $4.89 and the less expensive gas was 30 cents cheaper- I believe. I wouldn't mind coming to the particular Costco again, but to get out with a freaking nightmare!! There were a number of people finishing getting gas as they wanted to drive across/intersections through me as I was trying to leave the quickest manner possible from the gas station I don't know! I had to stop for a number of cars and then some older gentleman decided to semi park his car in the middle of the street/away as he up to the front for something? Lol. I don't know old people are funny. Anyways, this part of Redwood City is under a facelift and a lot of things are getting remodeled so I didn't really recognize the area. I can't wait to see everything once. All the buildings are finished.

As I was trying to find a checkout I ask Employee Maru S if she was open, she ignored me and continued scanning, I asked again and very rudely she said yes and gestured very sarcastically and rude to look around to indicate me that she was in fact open. She made me feel super embarrassed and she continued to laugh and said sarcastic things to who ever she was checking out. I am not sure if it was another employee or a costumer as it seemed like they knew eachother. Is hard to understand how she can be so rude for one question. Very poor customer service. Sadly won't be coming here again just to avoid staff like her.

When we were ready, one of the sale clerks came over to help us. We explained that we wanted a simple, single, white gold band, and then selected a diamond. She laid out everything for us to look at and when she dropped the diamond on the setting, my heart knew it was the one I wanted. The diamond is 2.10 karats, and it's simply breathtaking! Four years ago, my husband and I commissioned them to design my original wedding ring, and the craftsmanship was exceptional. Unfortunately, I misplaced the ring some time ago. To surprise me for our fourth anniversary, my husband wanted to replace it, so we immediately returned to The Jewelry Exchange. Once again, they delivered outstanding results. I chose a design to mirror my original ring, and the team replicated it phenomenally. They assisted me in selecting the ideal diamond and precisely executed my vision. I am incredibly pleased with the final outcome. The customer service here is truly unmatched. Herout and Lilibeth provided consistent updates regarding design modifications, ensured I approved the layouts, and confirmed that every detail aligned with my requests. Rena and the rest of the staff were always friendly, welcoming, and deeply attentive to our needs. I am completely satisfied with their work and look forward to returning for future purchases. They breed their own chicks in house which is a huge plus as you get it straight from the source. You see the walk through of the roosters and hens as well, literally the parents of your birds and they're all extremely healthy. They have all sorts of breeds, literally breeds I've never even heard of. The hatched chicks here are given mareks vaccination in house + sexed at birth for most breeds except silkies and a few others. I love how the staffs make themselves known but just let you wander and live in the moment without breathing down your back. The prices for feed and items are overall pretty good, items are labeled for the most part. Selection is huge. Many of the items are not priced with a label so they are just ignored and not bought as you can tell by the dust. One biggest drawback here that made it 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of pricing on some items and the chicks/pullets. Nobody has time to ask for pricing for each individual chick and the staffs don't have a list, they have to check manually for each on their register which is insane. Maybe the store management is too lazy to put the pricing? Maybe they priced chicks differently per customers? Who knows. Luckily the pullets has a pricing sheet and the staffs were amazing about it. Overall, I'd take your family here to buy farm item, feeds and learn about the breeds. If you have time to spare, you can ask about pricing for each or just buy elsewhere.
