    Best Sheppard's pie outside London

Bought a container of Smoked brisket tips, chicken strips and a huge BBQ country style rib I'll eat for a week for $21. I buy the salad bar veggies and proteins and add the lettuce later. Best hot bar in Salt Lake City. Where else can you buy $12 a pint of bespoke ice cream and $41 a pound curated chocolate? But what's with the giant Snickers bar?

As I pulled into the parking lot today, I noticed they had their "wood fire" pizza oven open. I gave it a notice, and then went inside to shop. The Store is well stocked with tons of local products. The produce section was well stocked with "fresh" produce. You could smell/see the fresh orange juice being made right there in the fruit section. I love how they switch up their holiday displays, always a fun entry into the store, with an emphasis on holiday gnomes. I've been coming here specifically for their fresh "you make it" salad bar. So far it has been well stocked, clean and fresh. A tad bit expensive, but well worth the price. I picked up a couple of items (I can't afford to buy all my groceries here) and headed out to my car. That's when I noticed the pizza stand again. I thought why not. It's lunch time, and I'm hungry. You place your order, then you have to go back inside, and wait in line to pay. Come back outside, show proof of payment then they make your pizza. These are 12" individual pizzas, so I decided to eat at one of their outside tables instead of taking it home to eat. Red Flag was when they brought the pizza out within 5 minutes. I opened the lid of the box, and my first thought was why is the crust burnt, and the cheese isn't melted. Strange looking basil too. (The basil wasn't fresh, but dried, - invision chopped up parsley) But most of all I wasn't expecting the pizza to be COLD. I know some people don't mind eating leftover cold pizza, but this was supposed to have come right out of the oven. I ate two small pieces, and threw the rest in the garbage. It's like they cooked (burnt) the crust ahead of time, threw some sauce on it, then topped it off with some cheese (not even fresh mozzarella) and dried basil and called it a day. Where is the quality control and/or pride in your product? Do yourself a favor, save your money, and take a trip to Italy for a real tasty wood fire pizza that actually tastes good. It will be worth the money as this pizza definitely wasn't.

"The Store" is seriously the cutest market ever! Sure, it's a bit on the small side (think of it as a mini Trader Joe's), but I still adore it. I went there yesterday (for the first time) to buy a few ingredients for my family's 4th of July BBQ, and I couldn't get over how much character it had. Some of their items were a bit pricey (although, their filet mignons were on sale:), but that's to be expected with locally made/sourced food and ingredients. I can't wait to go back there soon to see what I can find next!

What's not to LOVE about this place. They seem to have all of the absolutely best specialty grocery items (seriously, where else can you regularly get June Pies?!?), their signature brand chips and salsa are amazing, and the bakery borders on dangerous! But the purpose of this review is to let y'all in on a little secret . . . this is one of the BEST places to get a delicious to go lunch. They have a wide variety of piping hot smoked meats, casseroles, vegetables, and salad options galore. And every day the menu changes bit by bit, so there is always something new to try. My absolute favorite and go to menu item is the balsamic herb smoked chicken thighs--truly mouth watering and scrumptious. On this visit I also had a stuffed green pepper and a scoop of the twice baked/roasted baby red potatoes--and every bite was delicious. I paired my meal with a Vanilla-Orange Coke Zero and finished up with some fresh fudge thumbprint cookies from the bakery. And it was all less than $15! Delicious, home style menu options at super reasonable prices--why wouldn't you try this place for lunch???

Great grocery store has the feeling of a mom and pop store. Great location and prices at competitive with other local stores.

It was enticing that I had to go over after making my purchase. Now I'm a true sucker for a meatball sub so I ordered a half one to go. Damn, you know that you're in for a treat when you open up the package and instantly start looking for a bib. Man it was good! Firm not mushy meatballs, great bread, melted cheese and a fresh marinara that you would swear your grandmother made.

The sandwiches are smaller, more expensive , less variety and the service was SLOW. It was 11:30 am and no lines, about 10 patrons in the whole place. Shocked to see no heavy inch traffic . I had a serving of tuna salad ($9) which was ok and $5 cheaper than a sandwich ($13). Hubby had half a Caputo Sandwich. Fountain drinks were $6!!!! There are no deli salads anymore in the sandwich shop nor in the grocery store section. All the grocery has is imported jars , hard pasta and meats. There is no longer any amazing smells of bread and spices like I've experienced in other I Italian delis and shops in many other cities. If you go there now instead of like in the "old days", which weren't so long ago. you might think it's ok but not anymore in my opinion. Tony used to be behind the counter running the show, fast service lots of people. It sucks now
