I love Costco for many reasons. This location is one that I frequent. This location used to be extremely busy but I've heard that a lot of people moved out of California recently due to the pandemic and I believe this to be true because this Costco location seems to be much less busy since the pandemic. Costco is great for many reasons including providing numerous affordable food options for the local community. Additionally, I have been getting quite a discount on my prescriptions by using the Costco phrarmacy. For example, I have a prescription that I can get at Costco for $8 and the very same prescription costs $275 if purchased from the local Walgreens. One thing I will say is that you have to try out the GoodRX membership program when it comes to saving money on your prescriptions at Costco because it cost's about $9.99 a month, but this program could save you over $30 a month off of the cost of 1 prescription at Costco alone... so it's definitely worth the extra membership costs! read more

I really have no reason to give less than 5 stars to this Costco. First, there's a gas station right next to the Costco, second, the air pump is right directly in front of the gas station with two parking spots for people to pump air directly in their tires. Now, this is significant to me because I have had to put air in my tire a few times recently, so knowing that this resource was available, definitely made me happy and made the process way easy for me! Next, while Costco parking lots are never super easy, and often backed up, there IS parking available. Sometimes I park near the McDonald's that's close by, because it's just a little bit more open of a lot. This Costco is also fairly clean and organized, I now memorize where everything is, and I don't encounter any issues with this location. The food food court is located inside, there are plenty self-checkout stations available too, and that's a huge plus for me. So, all in all, no issues, and as long as you figure out parking (which is an issue with most Costco's), you shouldn't have any problems. Happy shopping! In my years as a Costco member, I have not encountered staff handling my items in this manner, especially without gloves. This practice raises hygiene concerns, particularly in light of heightened awareness about cleanliness. Furthermore, the attendant's actions led to inefficiencies, contradicting the purpose of self-checkout, which is to provide a swift and autonomous shopping experience. It's been a while since I've come to this Costco as it's further from us now. But we decided to venture here as I found out that they had boba ice cream and the Fremont location just seems to NEVER have anything all the other Costcos have and boy do I miss this Costco. The car traffic in and out can vary during the week/weekends and can be horrific to light but since there's other Costcos relatively around this one, there's lighter traffic at this spot in general. They do have self check out now which is GREAT. I'm glad this is common for all the Costcos now. I did find my boba ice cream here and it was like the clouds opened and the angels sang... 1/18/25, was checking out our groceries at the the do it yourself checkout. Then scanner made alarm, asked the attendant on duty but asked what was the last we scanned, my husband didn't know so I told him it was the tomatoes. Then had an attitude which he's blaming us we got an attitude. He moved away and ask his co worker to fix the problem. This person was so patient and started everything again to scan. The first person shouldn't work in Costco if he got no patience to details. He was holding a clipboard maybe supervisor but hated his way of approaching people with simple questions. If you enjoy getting stuck in traffic, and the company of incompetent drivers, this is the best place for you. This Costco, unlike any other shopping centers, has only one way to enter the parking lot. They recently reconstructed the stop signs into a small roundabout. Unlike the UK , where there are roundabouts within roundabouts and people are used to them , Santa Clara folks have yet to master the concept of this advanced traffic apparatus. As a result, there are typically to employees in the roundabout to drive traffic. Even with such investment, people move painstakingly slow. And what's really should be a quick in and out operation becomes an odyssey requiring the patience of a Buddha. It is unfathomable that they cannot open the extra entrance. They walked up to me today as I was ordering and apologized for the long wait from my last visit and made sure pizzas were ready for me before I was even done ordering. This negative review is specifically for Jaqueline, the front end assistant at the Coleman location. I misplaced my phone at Costco and asked the nearest associate where lost and found is. I don't recall the lady's name, but she was super sweet and pointed me in the right direction. She didn't have access to the drawer which my phone was locked in, so she asked me to wait for the next associate to assist. Totally understandable. He starts helping the next customer, and me and my son are waiting for my phone so that I can use it to check out at the self-check out stand. I'm starting to get frustrated because no one is seeming to help, aside from the first lady. Finally, another guy unlocks the drawer and grabs my phone. He asks me to unlock my phone so that he can hand it over. I tell him "the screensaver is a picture of my son" (whom was with me). He then says "I see that but can you still unlock your phone". I said "no, you clearly see the picture of my son and took long enough to help me get my phone in the first place, I don't need to". He said "ok" and then handed me my phone. I understand he was probably just following standard protocol but have some sense of urgency and maybe I will respect that. Jacqueline was standing right next to me and I turned to her and asked "can I talk to the store manager?". She ignores me. I ask again "who is the store manager". She doesn't look at me or in my direction and says "you can ask a supervisor". Extremely rude and disrespectful. Someone should explain customer service etiquette to her before allowing her to work again. Customer service skills include being professional while dealing with difficult situations. I spoke with the nearest supervisor whom heard me out and said she will speak with the associates. I appreciate her acknowledging my concerns. Regardless if she's actually going to speak with them or not, she was polite and professional. Afterwards, I thanked the first female associate for trying to assist me. I used to love coming here because parking was always easy. The only downside to this location is that there is a bottleneck driving into the parking lot. There used to be an "offset" 4-way-stop that tripped people up. I never understood why people can't figure out whose turn it is to go next. It's not rocket science. We have a lot of smart people living in the Bay Area, but sometimes they can also be very dumb. They renovated the parking lot area and installed a roundabout in place of the 4-way-stop. You would think this would make things smoother. Nope. Not at all. On my first (and only) trip back to Santa Clara after the renovations were completed, I discovered that the "improvements" actually made traffic worse. Cars were backed up into the street trying to inch their way into the parking lot and around the roundabout. And it was the same experience trying to get out of the parking lot after shopping. I'm not sure I will ever return to this location again. Ok, who am I kidding? Of course I'll still stop by here from time to time. This location has a decent size warehouse with spacious aisles. And they have a much better wine and cheese selection than the Sunnyvale location. They also stock other items that I have never seen at the Sunnyvale warehouse. Other niceties include an indoor food court with indoor seating, which is always appreciated on those super hot days. It's also convenient for parents with young children. read more

They supposedly had 3 return counters open, however the return line didn't move for 15 mins. I went in and told them to add more staff, they said that's all they had. Love coming to this Costco location but had a very unpleasant experience today. This sample worker named Anita yelled at my son to "wait until the tray is out!" Mind you the tray was out so when she yelled at my son she snatched the tray back towards her so he couldn't grab one. We were confused because a guy literally JUST grabbed one with no issue AND THEN like 30 mins later after I was done checking out and we were in line at the food court she came up to us and said I have "nothing better to do than take pictures of people" & we were "scum." Like of course I took your picture lady, so I can send it to your employer and post it here to yelp. How miserable do you have to be to yell at a 7 yr old and then come find us just to call us scum? We arrived a few minutes before opening at 9am and there was already a line snaking around the side of the building...and then doubling back. My mom visited the Costco in Santa Clara off Coleman and she came home in tears. A CDS manager Carolina yelled at her for visiting with a sampling CDS employee offering her free samples. My mother is 80 and a bit on the chatty side but she is an avid shopper and a loyal customer. Pointing and yelling is not in the managerial handbook and Carolina should be ashamed of herself. Let me be clear I love and rely on Costco but in recent years they have gone totally down hill. Their prices and overall quality are great but what them above everyone else was their top notch customer service this always made them a clear winner when considering anything for me or the family. In the last few years we purchased 2 iPhones at the kiosk in Costco, 1 included a $50 Costco Gift card (which we never received), the other phone had issues and when I went in the Kiosk had issues finding the order, sent me to Costco membership who had no record, in the middle of all this the company that ran the kiosk abruptly closed. It took 5 trips to Costco, hours on the phone and finally Allstate (the insurance for Costco) found it and handled most of it. I spoke via e-mail to some manager named Nathan, he offered me a $100 gift card (we already were owed $50), when I said I spent that much on gas he stopped responding. I e-mailed and wrote corporate and they didn't even respond. In the last year I have purchased some items I normally wouldn't (nuts, cheese, snacks etc). Once the nuts were totally stale, the cheese I recently bought went bad in less than two weeks and the Palmier cookies were hard as a rock (see attached pics). Costco always made a difference they seemed to care, now based on all I mentioned the customer service was in the toilet, it clearly don't care and that is a giant bummer. read more

Costco trips have been entertaining. Not only can I get my protein drink and eggs for a better price but I enjoy seeing the seasonal items displayed throughout the store. I like how they have staple everyday products that I can buy every shopping trip and a lot of new items to try. They have also stepped up their game by offering ethnic items like Indian sweets and a variety of Asian snacks. They even sell durian fruit. Yes, the bill adds up because of the bulk sizes which is the only downside side I can think of. I like the layout of the Coleman Costco compared to other locations, seems more spacious. The Coleman gas station has more pump stations with aisles that are easier and safer to navigate in and out of. Staff are pretty friendly. Don't particularly like the self service check out especially when you have to get checked by the staff twice before ypu.can exit. Don't mind waiting for the traditional check out line if I don't have to spend extra time getting audited twice. Coleman is my go to Costco location. read more

My first rebalance and rotation on my 10k mile car and the tech was careless and damaged my rims using the impact socket. Very poor experience and now have to wait for their claims adjuster to approve the damages to my car. Don't waste your time here, unless you want the big headache. I saw one car that started in front of me zipped all the way around and go towards the gas station while cutting off the people entering from Coleman as well as people exiting the main Costco entrance! Living only 1 mile from this Costco has many advantages and I am surprised I have not written a review about it. So here goes, the most important thing is access and there is only one road into or out of this location. There is a 4-way stop sign which definitely holds up traffic. Fortunately, it does not get as busy as the one on Lawrence Expressway but when it does especially on the weekends it can be a definite trial of nerves. Once inside the warehouse is pretty spacious like all the other ones and service is as good or bad as expected. The selection of items is also as good as any other location. Fortunately I only go to get very essential items like kitchen towels (Brawny), toilet paper (Charmin), Coca-cola (reduce plastic bottles), contact lens cleaner (Opti-Free), ice cream (Haagen Daz), and organic blueberries. I used to get gas from Costco because of price but since I drive electric I save even more money. I normally get my tires from Costco too but sometimes they are out of the brand that I want. Of course the rebates are a nice touch. read more

Costco is the best place to shop for so many things. I would have to write a book to capture everything I like about Costco. You can buy top tier gasoline for extremely low prices. Costco is usually at least 40 cents cheaper for gasoline than anywhere else. The best tires at the lowest prices are available. Appliances, television sets, jewelry, hearing aids, eye exams, glasses and contacts are all low priced. All types of groceries from produce to baked goods are value priced. Check Costco out. Recently visited the optical department of Costco Santa Clara to have glasses made from my own frames. purchased online from an optical company. Costco insulted my frame choice and reluctantly took the measurements and frames, stating, " their lab would notify me if glasses could be made." I should have gone elsewhere immediately. I gave Costco the benefit of the doubt, only to be dissatisfied and disappointed when I received the " lab won't make your glasses" call. I then went to the return section and the same lady that checked the card in at the entrance followed me to the return section and asked me if I had my own Costco card. AVOID!!!! There is construction on Coleman and Brokaw which is blocking one of the only 2 exits. I was stuck in the parking lot trying to get out for OVER AN HOUR and it wasn't even peak time. TRAFFIC IS NOT MOVING AT ALL. The construction People are "directing traffic" which means they are NOT directing traffic. Awaiting new card .. was told I could still use my membership card.... Instead I get a receipt that says "invalid membership" and no one available to assist so I could fill my tank...
