Not my favourite Costco but because my mom lives close by we visit often. Samples are always on the very puny side and there are never very many marked-down items. The parking lot seems to be packed at all times with the exception of close to opening hours. This location has a gas bar which is extremely popular and can generate huge amounts of traffic. I had an eight minute wait at the pumps and it concerns me that cars are idling that long and even longer. So not environmentally friendly. The snack bar is always crowded and there's rarely a place to sit. The tables are usually very dirty. Staff are courteous and although they don't seem to be overly friendly it looks like they have a lot to put up with. A quick glance at the return counter found one lady returning a 50 lb bag of dog food that was almost empty while another was bringing back many trays of bedding flowers that she had obviously forgotten to water. read more

I always dread trips to this particular Costco, because it's always crowed! No matter what time of day you come here there is always a crown. I recently came here on a Tuesday in the morning and it was busy! there we line ups at the cash registers. I guess we all thought it would be a good time to visit. This is still the closest location to me so I have no choice but to shop here, however, I will continue to come on weekdays during the daytime to see which day is least busy. read more

After having several bad experiences at this location, I would say its the worst location I've been to in GTA. Heres a summary of just a few of my bad experiences: Paid for an xbox when I got to the room where you pick up your electronics they said they didn't have the item in stock. I was able to pay for it buy picking up a card and taking it to the cash register. I then had to stand in the returns line to get a refund for something they never even gave me. Returned an item and then my membership account was frozen and I wasn't able to buy anything. Turns out the cashier who helped me with my return forgot to get me to sign the refund slip. I returned an item and never received my refund. I waited 2 weeks for my refund and never got it. I went back to customer service and they said they had problems with their computer system and that someone should have called me. On top of all this, this location is one of the busiest in the GTA. Mainly due to the gas station. The gas station generates a lot business for them and the parking lot is much smaller because of this. If you can stay away from this location. Its not worth the trouble. The employees are rude and don't provide good customer service. Why would anyone pay a membership fee to shop at this location? read more

This evening I dined at an interesting theme restaurant called the Costco Wholesale Food Court. The proprietors seem to have gone for a "food court in a large warehouse/big box store" kinda of vibe, and I feel like they've really nailed it, but the food(at least the poutine) could use a bit of work. I'm surprised to find it hasn't been reviewed before since it was absolutely packed when I went. It's casual dining( I lucked out by deciding at the last minute to not wear a suit and tie. I would have been overdressed) and the decor really brings home the "I'm eating in the food court of a big box retailer" feel. The tables resemble outdoor seating and even have large umbrellas to presumably block the sun. Which is an interesting design choice because you're in a warehouse, but little quirks like this don't detract from the overall experience(they don't add anything either). They also have people walking around pushing large carts of merchandise which helps to make it all the more real. I saw a woman pushing one of these carts nearly run over a kid(who was presumably supposed to be her child). I appreciate their desire to give you a real experience but I feel like that went a little far. The menu offers basic food court fair, with a canadian bent. They have hot dogs, and pizza, and ice cream. As well as tradition canadian food court foods like poutine and Montreal Smoked Meat sandwiches. I love personally love poutine so made that my choice. A friend had told me that if I said "hey, don't be shy with those cheese curds" that I'd get extra, but the person taking my order only stared back blankly and said "the cheese curd servings are pre-portioned in individual bags." I'm not sure if this was my inability to charm her, or her unwavering desire to stay in character. Regardless, the serving size was very generous, the curds tasted fresh-ish, and the gravy was so-so. But what really brought the dish down were the fries. They were average at best. I think they were those slightly coated fries that which are fine on their own, but have no business in poutine. I managed to eat most of it anyway, and washed it down with some self-serve Coke Zero at the fountain machine. All-in-all the food was average so far as big box store food court fare goes. But I gotta hand it to them for working so hard at creating a pitch perfect ambience to match their theme. Plus, for $5.40 I got poutine and all the soda I could drink! That's some strong value for your dollar(or loonie in this case)! If 2.5 stars were an option that's what'd give them. But it isn't an option. So two stars it is. read more

2018/02/04 I purchased my items at the Costco at 1411 Warden ave, in Toronto, Ontario. I arrived back home and looked through the gift cards that were handed to me. I purchased over 800 dollars worth of product. I never have problems with Costco but this time I had a strange experience leading to missing 79.99 gift cards for sassafraz. Usually, when I buy the gift cards there are no envelopes provided this time I was given envelopes and rushed out. I feel the employee I can describe as ********, did not give me the card and knew about it. All of the envelopes did not have the values of the cards handwritten but the one from sassafraz 2x50; I am deeply suspicious of this activity. and the fact that there was a missing gift card. read more

I LOVE COSTCO. Costco was one of those places that you never really acknowledge until you move out and you can't have it anymore. I remember begging my parents to come down, pick me up, bring me to Costco, and drive me back home. Think of all the opportunities: 3 months worth of toilet paper, a gargantuan container filled with laundry detergent (the good kinds! for cheap!), all sorts of frozen treats in bulk, GIANT BRICKS OF CHEESE. I used to love the cheap book section and while I'll stick take a look, I generally stick to Amazon these days. Cheap magazines though -- I'm into that. Free samples of food? YES. There is nothing bad I can say about Costco. Yes they serve food, and it's greasily delicious, but who needs it? Just make the sample rounds and you'll be filled with yogurt and granola and frozen pizzas and even dim sum! It gets crowded, they have long lines, but they're efficient, and this place rules. read more

Poutine is absolute best value in Toronto (in ANY food category): huge portion, under $5, and most importantly authentic (squeaky curds imported from Quebec) and delicious. Hot dog and a pop for $1.50 also a deal, but $3 for a slice of pizza is a bit of a rip. read more

This is probably the worse Costco you can subject yourself to. There are exactly two entrance/exits which means that coming here on evenings/weekends/holidays will result in a bottleneck and you ripping your hair off because some driver totally stopped in the middle leading you to be stuck in the middle of all that havoc. Other than the parking/lack of exits issue, I really like Costco. Things are cheaper (because BULK!) and you can get everything you need in one location. Oh and samples. I also love their poutine but sucked since they took away their hot peppers. read more

Fairly typical Costco store. Seems a bit better stocked than the Downsview one but I don't know if that is fact or perception. One thing I do not care for at this store is the parking lot arrangement which is difficult to navigate and leads to congestion. Also, if you enter by Warden you can't go out the same way. read more

I had to exchange an item after I got a nice "PFO" email from the manufacturer. I have to be honest, it wasn't warranty but I wanted to see what Costco would do. At first I got the old "we aren't really suppose to help" line but that didn't last long. One quick look at my purchase history and they looked after me. I was thoroughly impressed. I I went on a Tuesday night and it wasn't too crazy. I find Costco in general is only crazy for the first half hour it opens - after that, you need a game face to deal with the mob. read more

My vehicle has been keyed and struck twice now at this location. I know because the key strokes left shavings of red paint. I spoke with the manager and found out that there is only one camera which faces only the Gas Bar. I'm calling out the need to appropriate enough cameras to cover the entire parking so that customers in similar situations can take action against others who have intentionally caused damages to our personal property. I welcome any other members who have had similar experiences to Like and Comment so we can collectively asses the overall impact and need to rectify these issues once and for all. read more

I went to this Costco location for the first time...the layout is the opposite of other Costco locations, and it was difficult to find. I drove up and down Warden Ave for 10 minutes, before I caught a glimpse of it past the trees...once here, the parking lot was a super massive mess (not unlike other locations). It turns out this is my closest location now that the gardiner is a big not mess, and the thought of travelling west of the downtown core gives me the heebie jeebies. I had to go on weekly basis to this location but this morning I decided to completely avoid it at least for the next few months. I arrived around 8.30AM in order to avoid crowds however I was negatively surprised to see that everyone is let in the store, about half of the customers are not startring a mask and not all employees are wearing masks. Be aware that customers do NOT keep distance in the store and there were no reminders, no employee were checking on it other than next to the cashiers read more

Staff is very friendly. The place is always crowded but you can't blame Costco for that.

(1) The gas is cheap because it's cheaper gas. No additives. It's not good for your car. (2) They changed the "mild Italian" sausage to be medium hot but still label it mild. Complained to head office about the change. They don't care if you buy mild but get hot. (3) They keep shrinking the packages but labelling them as being bigger and better. Straight up lies and false advertising. 3a. Less paper towels and less toilet paper, both thinner, but package reads more and improved. 3b. Royal paper dinner plates now read called premium white and extra strong. They are thinner and plain. And very weak: won't hold a chicken breast without bending. 3c. Batteries, AAA, twenty bucks when on sale for 28 pack. Home Depot 48 pack $12 on sale just last week. Costco - not cheaper, and, deteriorating quality. read more

Whatever you do be careful buying a computer from this company, especially if it is a Dell. They did not honour their 2 year warrentee that they say they stand by, I am out $1800.00!!!!!!!! Forewarned is forearmed. Don't make the same mistake that I did in trusting what they state in their advertisements. I would like to share an extremely unhappy racial discrimination experience in Costco(1411 Warden Ave). On April 8 around 12:10 pm, I went to this Costco to renew my membership card at the membership center. While waiting in line, a staff whose name is Susan in a blue t-shirt came to me and asked what I was coming for. Then I said that I was going to renew my membership card, and she said if I was going to do some shopping today, I could renew my card at the cashier. Then I thought for seconds and told her that I was not sure if I was going to do shopping today or not, and I still decided to renew the card at the membership center. Then she said with an aggressive tone: "don't be scared, you don't trust me, maybe I am different color". Furthermore, she made a very unfriendly gesture. Then I explained I didn't mean anything. She ignored me and went back to the counter. I even saw her whispering and laughing with her colleagues. Then she spoke to the customers who stood behind me. Those customers told her I was before them, but she still ignored me and spoke to them. Then I decided to leave. I think this is a racial discrimination because she blamed me for not trust her due to the skin color, while actually I just wanted to renew the card at first. This experience totally ruined my mood, I don't want to do any shopping at Costco anymore. read more

Worst. Store. Ever. First time I stepped inside a Costco in a long time and it left a terrible impression. From the start, parking was a pain, lot was big but way too busy. Seriously who are all these people that comes to this crappy store? The place looks old and rundown both inside and out, and inside the store is even worse than the parking lot. Showed the gift card my friend bought me to the guy at the front and he didn't mention anything about getting a day pass. So after spending an hour looking at stupidly expensive stuff I lined up for a checkout that was like 20 minutes, only to find that I cannot check out because I need a friggin day pass. Off to another line to get a day pass... So after about 2 hours of lines and walking in a sea of people and shopping carts my nightmare was finally over. The stuff I bought were stupidly expensive, and the people who serviced me had some of the worst attitude problems I've ever seen, and the cashier, after making me line up twice, had the guts to ask me "Why don't you get a membership card so you don't have to line up?". Terrible customer service and employees that tell you to put your food on the floor. This Costco is on average one of the better Costco's in the city. However my recent experience has tarnished how I feel about returning to this particular location. I understand policy, but paying for a membership for exclusive rights to a store I should not be prompted at the door and at the counter to show my membership card. Especially if it's for security reasons and no one is bothering to actually make sure the owner of the card is the person walking through the door. Nor should anyone greeter or not stand at the entrance screaming about showing your card at the door. To make matters worse the employees at the cash would not let me back through to get my ink refills, despite even having my receipt, being forced to then walk back through the entrance where the women at the front made me show my card again, even with my groceries in hand. And on top of that I was told to put my groceries on the floor to walk through! Which on any normal day, maybe I would have walked back and taken my groceries to the car, but seriously come on, and then to have the employee insinuate I was trying to get her in trouble. read more

Costco is the wholesale giant and portions are suited to families. This Costco is not easy to get into and setup different than most. I have been to better locations but alas this is the closest one to me. I am always amazed how inconsiderate people with shopping carts can be and this is place is like an obstacle course. Costco offers convenience and competitive pricing for bulk purchases, making it ideal for large purchases for organizations or for stocking up on items at home. Like most Costco locations, check-out lines can be overwhelming, especially around peak times. Weekends can be especially though to navigate efficiently through the aisles when weaving around other shoppers. My biggest concern is with the long wait times for purchasing tires (2 hours, just to make an inquiry and a future appointment, which requires lining up again). But once the wait time is over, the actual service, quality, and pricing are satisfactory. read more

I'm all about quality food and saving money so Costco is a no brainer. If I had time on my hands i might be getting gas here as well but OY Veh, the wait. So I get best quality in the meat department and so many other items with interesting items you can't get at other food stores, including Williams Spartivento coffee beans - the best ever. Buy the ready made Chicken Pies, shrimp dishes and Italian hot sausage for quick and tasty meals. And yes their fries do rock - though i try not to arrive hungry because they are too hard to resist. This location is also my fave of the 3 in Toronto - great staff. read more

One of the cheapest lunches you can get. I default to the poutine usually. It's cheap, huge, and has a ton of cheese curds. The gravy drags it down slightly but for the price you won't find a better deal in Toronto. I don't eat hot dogs but for $1.50 you get a huge one and a refillable fountain drink. We buy two, the other half gets the hot dogs and we each have a drink. I feel like a criminal when I get two or three refills of a pretty much free drink. The pizza is ok, it's frozen-esque but it's cheap and big slices. Good if I need a day off of poutine. The ice cream is what makes me sad. Odd texture. I don't know, something like shortening with a bunch of air beat into it. The only other draw back is the clientele. They don't know how to form separate lines, they don't know how to have the money ready at the cashier, and they don't know how to vacate the very limited seating when they are done eating. Can't fault the establishment for the customers, though, so I'll keep going back on grocery day for a nibble. read more

Last Friday morning I went to the Scarborough warehouse to get a flat tire fixed (tires purchased at Costco, advertised free flat repairs). I arrived 10 minutes before the opening time (per website) and there were already 9 people in line in front of me. After about 10 min, the sole person at the desk announced that those towards the end of the line may not get served that day due to being short staff due to illness. After 45 min in line, she announced that the schedule was full for the day and she could offer an appointment for Tues-Thurs the following week. When I got to the desk, I explained that I had a flat tire and was travelling past Kingston later that afternoon. She thought hard if she could squeeze me in, and also checked another location (which was also fully booked). She felt badly that she couldn't help me - I have no complaints about her. I asked if another non-Costco shop could fix the tire (not being sure about the nitrogen filled tires). She said that nitrogen wasn't an issue but getting it repaired elsewhere would negate my warranty. I had no choice, so went to a local mechanic for the fix (after wasting almost an hour at Costco when I was trying to get ready to leave town). My complaint is that if Costco advertises free flat repair, they should always find a way to fix a flat regardless of their booked appointments. This contingency should be built into the daily schedule. Who is ever going to be ok waiting a week to fix a flat tire? read more

Avoid this location if possible. Very small parking, took 10 minutes to find a spot. Of course the store could not handle the crowd. They need to expand or add another location in the area. Staff were nice that is why I gave two stars. read more

Recently I sign in to get a AMEX card from Costco store ,person told me will received $20 credit on my first purchase from Costco . After receiving card I made my first purchase and haven't seen any credit. Contacted customer service ,The manager named Rania is extremely Rude and said she didn't heard anythings about that. i encounter a very rude supervisor of costco in scarborough warden his name is ADAM and i was asking about the day pass of my gift card that i received from my employer. i was so upset because of the big line up and the ice cream and some other stuff that i bought is melting already. i asked him why do i need to show them my ID and fill up some information which is ridiculous. Adam said clearly that people is abusing for not getting the membership card...hellooooooooo i just got the gift card from my employer and telling me that i am abusing your company by not getting the membership card what the heck is that??? can you give him memo or change his status from supervisor to pushing some cart outside...being a supervisor you should know how to handle your customers...but now my boss is not renewing his membership and i will not coming back to your store...your price is not as inexpensive than no frills...who do you think you are american that is trying to invade Canada...go back to your own country and not spread your rudeness in our land... read more
