Today I went to Costco to get another two of those Woozoo fans. I got lucky and bought three of them for $26 once upon a time. Unfortunately, today it went back up to original price of $36 but I am such a believer in these fans that I was raving about them so now two of my friends wanted them for themselves. I didn't know I was going to be a fan influencer but OK, I'll take it. This fan has several speeds, and oscillates up and down and left and right at the same time! Truly the best fan ever. Best Costco experience ever! New hours for executive members only starting at 9:00. There was a bit of a line about five minutes prior but it moved fast because no one was cutting in from six different directions. Inside the vendors were all set up, the rotisserie chickens were available, all baked goods on display. Every associate was smiling as were all the members. No crowd. No fighting for parking. No long lines for checkout. Costco has made the premium membership worth every penny you pay for it. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! read more

I had never been to this Costco, so on our way back to Honolulu, we decided to stop by. Parking lot is pretty crazy, but inside was not bad at all. We went to the food court first and got pizza slices and warm chocolate chip cookies. I had no idea they were selling these and they were nice and gooey though sickly sweet! We wished they also sold milk. While we were eating, of course, only at Costco in Hawaii, will you see someone pull out an ukulele and start playing and singing! LOL! Again, inside they have pretty much everything like the others, but what I really love is the two refrigerator cases of Hawaiian food. Mahalo Costco! read more

I love going to Costco for all of my bulk needs. Since I have started my membership 11 years ago, their food selection has expanded. I have some interesting food allergies and it is sometimes a challenge getting some food to stock for a month. I love that I am able to make one trip a month and sometimes I come back when they have good deals or if I want to get a slice of pizza for dinner instead of cooking. You definitely get your bang for your buck with some good quality items. The staff is quick, efficient, and friendly. read more

Lunch in Waipahu, O'ahu, Hawaii... Cony and Brown wanted that special deal at the Costco Food Court: $1.50 (plus tax) for a hot dog and (self-serve) beverage. Sure! The catch is: Membership card is needed. Your Costco card will be scanned before you order! The efficient gal at the counter took my order and delivered promptly. I did have to go back and ask for the small containers of chopped onions (condiments for the hot dogs). The mustard, ketchup, and relish are at the side table, next to the beverage dispensers... along with napkins. This is an outdoor/takeout setup. The wind, birds, rain, etc. might be nuisance, but don't let them stop you from enjoying an inexpensive snack! P.S. I got a slice of pepperoni pizza for myself! read more

Hawaii Costcos are the best! This location has everything you need for a week at the beach, from the bathing suit you forgot at home, sunscreen, boogie boards, and tasty treats and snacks for your stay, plus macadamia nuts to take home. It seems that with the whole new kiosk placed at the food court, the employees have become easily annoyed and tired out. I greeted the man behind the counter but he ignored and didn't reply. I was handed my food very carelessly (thrown onto the counter) and luckily I was paying attention before my food could fall on the ground. While checking out at Costco, the cashier was pleasant, but the employee transferring merchandise from the belt to the cart handled items very roughly. Products were being tossed and slid into the cart with little care, making me concerned that fragile or easily damaged items could be affected. Of the two Costcos I usually frequent, I sometimes like to wander over to this Costco in Waipio one as I feel it has a lot more selection of items. This Costco is easy to get to. Just off the H2 and your first left. When you reach the parking, it feels super busy. When you go inside, it seems packed with people. But when you checkout, there's barely anyone in line. The inside is clean, spacious, and bright. It's very well stocked with seemingly more choices compared to other Costcos. Prices are in line with the Iwilei one. Staff are friendly and respectful. Also much better than the other two Costcos. Every Costco has a different feel, and the Waipio one has a more diverse, more comfortable feel, and with more variety of products. I wish I lived closer to this one, but I don't mind driving farther to skip the town Costco for the Waipio one! The time spent getting to both is probably the same with the madness of Dillingham and extra madness of finding a parking at the town location. read more

I was very excited to make this one of my first stops on vacation. I loved being able to walk up and down all the aisles and see the different things that are offered here and not in the states. Guava cheesecake, fruits, baked goods, and all of the candy and snacks! I literally brought my large suitcase so I could bring back a whole bunch of goodies. Waipio is so lucky... Love this Costco location and admit that I like to swing by to shop or for gas whenever I'm in the area. There can never be enough parking stalls to please any shopper though I never have an issue finding one here and the floor plan layout is similar to the town location making it quite easy to find anything that I need. Yes it is crowded though somehow it's not like a madhouse with crazy long lines and even sampling some of the items is nice and no lines to try some of the items, we had a huge shopping haul today due to the deals from value book items which all was easy to find and figure out which one was on sale which helped us get it done with such ease and is why is my favorite location. It helps too that their gas station is on the same lot and isn't the crazy line to get all your errands done with ease. Thank you! read more

I can't believe I'm writing a review for Customer Service at Costco, all the years shopping here, couldn't find anyone for help. Apparently I was picking up my medication at the pharmacy, I was looking for Apple luggage tags, high and low and couldn't find it, saw a Costco worker by the Pharmacy and ask Calandria for help finding my Apple Luggage Tags. Well, it took me all the way here to Hawaii try Turmeric... I wish I would have known more about this before! This older gentleman had samples of it at Costco today and you could tell he really believed in it. He had maps and an iPad he was quick to show me all about how I need Curcumian to my diet. Of course I knew about Turmeric, I started feeling good just like the older extremely knowledgeable man told me. Exceptional customer service and I have been to Costco in Chicago 500+ times with no one helping as well as he did! This Costco is everything Parking can still be tricky depending on the time of day, but it's way less stressful and crowded than other Costcos on island. They always have everything I need, and the vibe is calmer. Last time I went, someone from the tire center even helped me out with my car. It was above and beyond service! Costco in Waipio is like any other Costco on Oahu. Lots of people in line before it opens, 1000, most days. Parking and lines for gas are also typical. Iwilei may be more hectic but not by much. I don't have a family so my shopping time is quick as is my checkout time. I usually utilize self-checkout but today, 10.Dec, I used the regular checkout. Not much of a line thus it was even faster. There is a wide variety of items here at Costco. I could shop in here for a long time. Most workers are helpful, some are just ok but not rude. I only buy bulk on items I enjoy so the bulk items work for me. Love the limited shipments they have. Got my sheepskin rug, cat playhouse and hobby items here. If u c something at a good price - buy it - will be gone if u return later. Ample parking- only bad thing is the handicapped parking got moved farther away from the store. The elderly have to walk into lanes to get to the handicapped area. Before it was next to the side wall of Costco. This is the main reason for the 4 star. With any costco on island, it's gonna be somewhat crazy. Worth that in mind this location is one of the 2 that I frequent. Parking is usually manageable and they have very cheap gas! You can check the gas prices on their website and app (not all are the same). The service here with any help needed is always fast and friendly. One of the meat department workers quickly went back to look for the lean beef tubes for us, but sadly they were out. Prices are always on point, but even more incredible when the sales run. With the cost of living in the 808 so high, costco is a must have to stay on budget. read more

Ok, I used to love the pizza but the last few times I had it, NO taste. I finally realize what the problem is. They reduce the pizza sauce and almost no cheese. Just bread, a little sauce and sprinkle of cheese. They also reduced the pepperonis. Before the pizza would come nicely greasy from the pepperoni and cheese and now it's dry bread with some toppings. grrrr. Deceitful SHRINKFLATION at work! Feb. 10, 2023 My visit today is just for the food court. I came to pick up lunch for my coworkers and was picking up 2 large pizzas, chicken bakes and smoothies. The customer service was fine but I'm disappointed with the changes made to their menu. I haven't been to Costco in a while because the parking is really bad, although they have a huge parking lot. The amount of customers that visit Costco in Hawaii at any given time is crazy! This makes it difficult to even find parking. Anyways, I'm giving the foodcourt 3 stars because they removed some of my favorite items on the menu. If you're like me and enjoyed their combo pizza, chicken salads and acai bowl, I'm sorry to say this but those items have all been discontinued. I got the pepperoni pizzas and those taksted good and was made well. The chicken bake was delicious as always and the smoothies were fine. Other than that, Costco is great because of their prices and the fact that you can buy everything in bulk but you're going to fight through the traffic, and long lines to get what you need. Granted, the shelves are not stocked in unison so one location may be out or you would have to ask... I found the Waipio store tends to be stocked on a regular basis. Self Check Out ready and waiting at the Waipio store. Staffing friendly. Today was ridiculous. We went at 9 am opening and it was busy but that wasn't the problem. The problem were the employees. They were everywhere and not in a good way. They had flatbeds with empty boxes blocking the cold foods in almost every aisle. We tried to get toilet paper and agsin the flatbeds blocking the toilet paper and more employees. I have never seen so much stocking at 9 ish in the morning. Why can't Costco bring employees in early and stock before they open so customers have to be so frustrated. It's bad enough the customers are everywhere but we don't need employees blocking everything and making it hard to get our marketing done. Today we couldn't wait to get out of the store. read more

Joyce the cashier is very very rude and has no business in a customer service position. She will act as if by harshly enforcing the company policy that the corporation will pay her more for it. She absolutely hates her job and will go out of her way to be mean to paying members. My elderly grandmother whom I was shopping with scanned her card at the check out line with Joyce Even though I had my own valid Costco card (we are on the same account) she proceeded to keep interrogating me about my membership and made me feel that I was committing a big crime for trying to pay for my groceries! Joyce's attitude needs to be reevaluated . She needs to find a meaningful purpose in life because right now it seems like she hates being employed at Costco. read more

Generally speaking, Costco (Waipio) is great, good product and good prices. A "Go-To" store for many on the island. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the poor customer service and attitude when my wife and I were shopping and decided to purchase a mattress. One of the lazy floor managers (as described by another regular customer while standing in line), wasted our time loading with attitude the flat bed and provided my 100 lb. wife (little or no help) getting the very heavy cart to the register as I was parking the truck in the loading zone outside the store. We spend a lot of our hard earned money at Costco and all we ask for is decent assistance, cordial communication and an appreciation for our loyalty. read more

As a Costco executive member I'm very upset to write this review as I love Costco especially the Waipio location. My review today is about an unfortunate unfriendly worker who was handing out samples in front of the dairy section. She was serving the cheesy bake potatoes... while waiting patiently with my two little babies ... she put the samples out and I grabbed two sample (one for each of my babies) . She then snapped at me and said I can't grab the samples from the side and I had to grab them from the front.... Then repeatedly said "yeah you don't do that don't grab from the side" as I said ohh I'm sorry and walked away... Costco has been set to a standard and every experience I've had has been pleasant and great with a super friendly staff. Perhaps she had a bad day but in any case she could have stated her opinion in a more professional yet constructive manner. read more
