Came here with my uncle. We were looking for a memory foam mat for the bathroom. The box case there listed the color beige, crimson, green, and gray. There's no gray mat to be found. The bulk shrimp, and bulk sandwich looked old and the only good thing i found today is my favorite coffee. If I could give the zero stars I would but too bad yelp doesn't allow such scoring on here so here is my experience the week of 7/1-7/7 at this warehouse. During my recent visit, I witnessed three employees -- Aaron (AGM), Michelle (Manager), and Karen (Cashier) -- behaving in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner. Their behavior was not only directed toward paying members, including myself, but also towards fellow staff. It was disappointing to see such hostility from individuals in leadership positions who should be setting a positive example. I believe this kind of conduct reflects poorly on the environment at this location and contradicts the high standards Costco is known for. I hope this issue will be taken seriously and looked into promptly. And not only that, but I was in line with many other members and they were also concerned and saying the same thing I was it's like the management there does not even care about the way they treat paying members and also their own staff!!!! If this is how they act in front of other people who knows how they act or what they say in the break rooms. And I hate to say it I love Costco but this location in Avon, Ma needs to be investigated because the stuff that goes on here and the stuff I be hearing out loud it's just crazy. read more

Am about 25 miles from this Costco and I just got a membership. I love it! Parking lot gets pretty packed here and it seems to be very crowded but I think it's 100% worth it. Lines are long yes but they do go fast. Their huge Caesar salad is fantastic. Fresh and easy. I do love the people who are out giving you samples of food too. Fun to try stuff while you shop. And of course the wicked cheap hot dogs and slices of pizza are top notch. Wish they had more drink options. Not a fan of soda. All in all this Cosco is definitely worth the $65 a year subscription. read more

Travel to a lot of Costco. This is the first one where I see the cashier handle cash and change and proceeds to make hot dogs without swapping gloves. Also did the same for filling pizza slice order, ice cream, and the ice drinks. Some retraining should be done, this isn't how Costco typically handle foods. I have a member of Costco for over 30 years and has been going to the Avon Costco for over 25 years. Costco is best for their qualities but the last 10 years of so I have to say their qualities for produce have gone down hill. Their bag salads are either expired or about to expire. Most of the time the fruits are moldy. The worst was yesterday. We wanted to pick up some peaches and strawberries. Every single boxes has mold and yet Costco is still trying to sell them. In the past you can pick through some of them but this time every cases were moldy. Unfortunately I have been to other Costco but the Avon location has really gone down hill over the year. read more

Well, never say never! I have previously written of my dislike of big box wholesale stores...and for the most part that is still true. That said, lots of people I know and trust have been telling me how much they like Costco and can find both good deals as well as some healthy food products. Years ago we had a membership at a BJs Wholesale Club and we found it wasn't worth it. There were not enough products we used to continue. Our friends told us that Costco had better products than BJs especially for folks like us who tend toward healthier and organic products. Tom and I visited this Costco about 3 months ago to check out the inventory. For starters, I tend to get overwhelmed in cavernous stores like this but we went early enough the morning and on a weekday when things felt a bit more manageable. For the most part, it was no surprise that just about everything comes in enormous packages. There are many things that are just too big for us to either store or use quickly enough. That said, we do have some storage capability and can we make exceptions with what makes sense to buy in bulk. For example, paper products. I have always tried to stock up on paper towels, tissues and toilet paper. Those are items I want to buy only a few times a year vs every time I shop. I also have always stocked up on canisters of Lysol Wipes. I remember being one of the few people not caught short during the height of the pandemic when these wipes were gone from store shelves. I am happy to see that the Lysol Wipes are back and I will continue keep a few extra canisters on hand. We use them at home, in the car and on the boat. I always take a canister with me when we travel and wipe everything down wherever it is we are staying. On the food side of things, I was pleased to see that Costco sells frozen wild -caught shrimp. I will only buy wild shrimp from the USA and while I often buy it fresh at either Whole Foods or a local seafood shop, they don't always have it. I now keep a 2 pound bag in my freezer which is super handy. We tend to eat shrimp a fair amount. Costco also sells wild and safely-caught tuna in cans. They also sell a couple of brands of grass-fed beef. I still buy most meat from the farmers market and a local farm about a mile from us but again, for convenience sake it's good to know Costco sells grass-fed. My husband likes the condiments Costco sells. He loves anything pickled. He goes through even those large jars of pickled peppers, pickled jalapeños, and Grillo's pickles. (Grill's is a local pickle brand which has gone national...if you can find them...try them as they are the best in my opinion!) I found that Costco sells a brand of dry pasta that I like and I always keep a few different pasta shapes on hand. I found Simple Mills organic crackers and mixes here along with a wide variety of dried nuts, fruits and seeds. I also stock up on frozen organic fruits which I use in smoothies the year round. I use fresh fruit too but frozen fruit is very handy and still very good for you. They sell Red Mill grains which is a brand I like. They also have a great price on canisters of Vital Proteins Collagen. Tom and I put a scoop of this powdered collagen in our coffee and/or smoothies every day and having being doing so with great result for years. This is a not inexpensive product and Costco has a great price on the 20 ounce canister. We go through lots of avocados and eat them most every day...I found good prices on these. This Costco also sells beer, wine and liquor and while we are not big drinkers, there is a savings in this category. We have heard that the savings on tires and automotive products are great here...I have a new car and hope not to need tires or car parts for a long time but good to know. We bought batteries at a great price this week (everything it seems needs batteries these days) so we stocked up. And on it goes....there are certainly enough products or so it seems right now to warrant this membership and a visit every few weeks. We have a membership now for year and we are going to see if it continues to be worthwhile. So far, it's not been an unpleasant experience and we have been happy with many of the choices as well as the savings we've experienced. We are entertaining more now that it is summer and our circle of friends and family are all vaccinated. I am cooking more and going through my pantry products faster as there more times once again that I am cooking for a group. This all feels like a blessing. The jury is not in as to whether we will keep this membership beyond the year but we'll see. So far, so good. read more

Okay. Put my card in, was charged and then went through the process of adding her. They then tried to recharge me. Highly recommend ordering your whole pizza via phone ahead of time or risk waiting. Sounds reasonable. If you come with a party, have them go to the self kiosk as you wait to pay for your large purchase and order it so you feel like the wait is shorter. Otherwise found some great deals. read more

This was my first time shopping here yesterday and for sure will be my last. The customer service we received from Michelle was unacceptable and ridiculously disrespectful. Michelle had a problem with ringing us up in 2 separate transactions just because we had everything in ONE cart even though we had TWO separate Costco memberships.. Upon paying in cash she snatched the cash out of my hand nearly ripping the 100 dollar bills, which was completely uncalled for. Please remember that working as a cashier is also considered customer service whether you are behind the membership service desk or not.. They have the most excellent cooked chickens I've ever tasted. Cooked right in store. The smell makes you want to buy even if you didn't come in to get one. I went to buy baby formula for my grandson and you could smell the chickens for a minute you walked into the store and of course I ended up buying two to take home for dinner. Really great place to look around unfortunately this lines of very very long if you want to pay cash and not everyone has credit cards. It should really have more cash lines to accommodate those of us who don't have credit cards because you may take 10 minutes and this towards your shop but it takes you 20 minutes in the line just to check out. read more

Review for the food court: The food here was somehow better than your average Costco. The acai was very smooth - not icy as I'm used to - and they were super generous with the granola and diced fruits. The pizza crust was thinner and crispier, almost New York style, and was super satisfying. As for the Costco itself, it seems to be smaller than average with fewer options, but it wasn't as crowded/chaotic as some of the mega Costcos I've been to. read more

We went to senior hours this week. We thought one big trip to last many weeks would be good. I was very pleased. They wiped every cart as we entered. Everyone needs a mask. Two people toa cart. A few things were limited. Most things were well stocked. Some meat seemed bigger than ever. Maybe packing plant problems. All staff seemed well trained and serious about cleaning and disinfecting. The checkout was shielded and distance was maintained. A staffer checked us out but eyed the basket instead of touching things. We will continue distancing whether the ban is lifted or not and are now set to do so. read more

First time ordered Michelin tires/install. Everything went well at the beginning when placed the order and scheduled my appt 1 wk later to install. I was told they will call when the tires come in, but no one called. So the day before my scheduled appt, I called to confirm my appt if it's still ok to go in. The sales Rep basically said I'm scheduled on their calendar and confirmed. On the day, we dropped off our vehicle for an hour and went back to pick it up, our tires were still removed and not even installed. We were told the Michelin tires did not come in yet. We were at a lost. So the mechanic removed the tires and didn't know there's no tires to install? Seems like no one knows what's going on. They offered another set of Michelin different line and ended up waited for another hr. I'm just disappointed with our first experience since the tires were not our first pick after-all. read more

Fresh beautiful flowers and someone to help on almost every department. Now to the check out. It is usually something that get my last drop of energy but not this time. Only one shopper ahead of me. Bonus-this location has alcohol (DiSaronno 750 for $19 and change-good deal). The selection is pretty limited, but the prices are good. They do have a variety of Yellow Tail (ehh) in the large bottle & a few micro brews by the case. I'll go 3.25 stars-the cheap liquor bumped up the mega store a little. Lost .75 star because walking around in these places makes my head hurt. And my feet. And my wallet. Must go home and enjoy a warming glass of DiSaronno... read more

I'm not a member of Costco but enjoyed my recent visit over the holidays. Theres a greeter at the front door to verify your membership. Once inside we grabbed a cart and off we went. First stop, the wine and liquor section. Great variety of all the top bottles I'm accustomed to buying elsewhere and the prices were great. Kallua, Prosecco, Captain Morgan's, Josh, etc. We filled up a case, lol. Next we cruised passed the electronics section but not without noticing some super deals on hot brands like Samsung, Bose, Beats, Xbox and more. On to the food section while we sampled bites of all sorts of stuff like lobster dip, cheesecake, tiramisu, cheeses and more. We filled the cart with scallops, orange juice, fresh fruits, crackers, prime rib, cereal, nuts and plenty of other stuff I'm sure we didn't need. Off to the checkout. In under 30 minutes we managed to spend over $200 but overall the experience was enjoyable. I'm rethinking the membership now. read more

I've recently purchased a set of new Michelin tires at the Tire Service Center in Avon. The OTD price was unbelievable! I met with Dennis and his awesome team on the installation date. They were able to install the new tires on an aesthetically-unique vehicle by collaborating with one another to get the job done efficiently and proficiently. And the way in which they went about doing the installation required strategizing, communicating, and executing. Dennis, Etson, Jesse, and Jesson, thank you so kindly for making my experience an event that I shall remember forever. I sincerely apologize to whomever I inadvertently forgot to identify though. That said, you went above and beyond my high expectations and you maintained a high level of professionalism, confidence, and enthusiasm throughout the whole time. Costco is a magical land of free samples on the weekend. Last weekend I sampled seaweed and sausages. You just can't ask for a better weekend...lol. My fav items are Costco are their prepared chicken. For $4.99 it fed my boyfriend's parents and we had some left overs to make sandwiches and chicken soup. You just can't go wrong. We also think the Kirkland brand paper towels are a great deal. We really love the big hunk of Kerry's Gold Chedder cheese for under $10.00 this cheese will last us about a month. O-M-G the food court type restaurant has really good pizza and frozen yogurt. I really wish they had a bigger parking lot as parking can be tight on the weekend. read more

We are two crazy people who love shopping at Costco! There is plenty of parking out front. This Costco has a small car garage on the side. The mechanics are always willing to help us when we swing by to get our tires checked. They never charge us either. Big plus in my books! I think it's ridiculous showing your card when you walk in. A hassle they could eliminate. You can just show your card when you pay. This store sells wine! They usually have an interesting selection. The bakery section is always busy with new items showing up every now and again. The meat section is great too. Always fresh and they do take special orders if you ask. They have fresh fish and seafood too. We have been addicted to the haddock and salmon when they get it in. They have a great selection of cheeses too. The best deal is the rotisserie chickens only $4.99. There is also a ready made section full of prepared foods, just heat and serve. We take advantage of the pharmacy at this location. It's cheaper than most drug stores. Only thing to keep in mind is that they are closed on Sundays. The pharmacy staff are very friendly and helpful. There was a cranky lady working there that I haven't seen in a while. LOL There is also a hearing aide place next to the pharmacy. We love the walk in cold fridge full of fresh produce. You really can't go wrong with most of the produce. Just check the expiry dates on the packages...even if you have to dig three boxes down like we do. There are always samples and I'm talking big samples. You could have quite a nice afternoon snack if you time it right! Or you could just go to the cafe and get yourself a hotdog and drink for next to nothing. I love the chicken Caesar salad for $3.99. Besides all the food items there are clothes, shoes, furniture, home decor, jewelry electronics...if you need it, you will probably find it here! This review is for the tire shop. They were extremely busy but saw I was with my three year old and got us in to fix a flat. Better yet it was free to fix because I purchased my tire there.
