This is a great place to get some nice deals on household items, groceries, health and beauty items, electronics and even clothing. A lot of the grocery and household products here are sold in bigger sizes. So having to restock your supplies at home happens less often which makes it super convenient. I was in here recently to get some cleaning supplies, toilet paper and I also stopped by their bakery area to get some sweets for the house. The cookies and brownies I bought were very fresh tasting and delicious. I have also bought deli meats here before and the service at the deli counter is excellent as well as the freshness of the deli products. The checkout process always goes fast and smoothly here. About the only thing that BJ's Wholesale Club could do to make the shopping experience better would be to have bags available to customers. They do have these big empty boxes at the front of the store that they provide for customers to use to bundle their purchases into but I definitely prefer bags so when I shop here I make a point of bringing along my own shopping bags to use. If I could leave a negative review, I would I work with DoorDash, they handed the order to somebody else they had us waiting there for Uber 30 minutes before they decided that they handed it to the wrong person, they wouldn't fill the order. Just left this store just now, 7/31/22, club # 34 (Stoughton), Register #13, cashier #480794.... This cashier was beyond RUDE! There was a sweet older lady in front of me and he was so miserable that she asked if he was ok cause his attitude was just stank. He did not converse back, make eye contact or anything... it was so awkward. He made everyone in the line feel uncomfortable with his mean energy. No one was greeted or thanked. When you spoke to him he did not speak back, he didn't even move to ring your stuff up. He made you place those XL HEAVY BULKY items on the checkout table... Had placed an order through the phone for a cake at the BJs bakery earlier this week for it to be ready by 12pm today Saturday show up they can not find my cake that I had ordered. Waited a few minutes until they found the paper work and said someone misplaced it. We still assumed it was ready since they found the paper yet we were left waiting Atleast 30 minutes and no one communicated with us that the cake was not done at all. very unprofessional on their part will not be returning to their bakery at least. read more

On 2/3/2022, I ran to BJ's (Club #34) to grab a few items before the expected ice storm the next day. When I got to the deli department, two deli employees were behind the counter. The younger employee (Alisa - at least that's what she told me her name was) wasn't doing anything and the older employee was helping another customer. I waited for my turn. When the older lady was done, she asked what she can get me. I asked her for a half pound of cheese. She looked at Alisa and Alisa said "we're closed, we close at 9:30". When I told her that's not true and asked when that started, Alisa said "everyone knows that and we've been closing at 9:30. If you want cheese so bad, you can come back here and cut the cheese yourself. You can also stay here at 10 o'clock and clean the machine because I'm trying to go home". I was appalled and asked if she can call a manger over to come cut the cheese for me and that's when she went off in a tangent. Slapping her fist to her palm. She gaslighted me by trying to minimize the situation "all that over cheese?" While the other lady was slicing the cheese for me, she continued to hurled threats and profanity at me such as "you got the right one today", "you want my job so bad, come get it", "I don't need this job". At which point, I told her that if she doesn't need the job and apparently doesn't want it, she should clock out and go home. Alisa continued her tangent and then said "you miserable bitch". I asked her "what did you just say?" She repeated "you're a miserable bitch". Not once did any employee (there were 4 visible behind the counter) tell her that her behavior was unacceptable. From what I learned after the fact, this was Alisa's second day on the job. This is very upsetting. Based of BJ's response, that employee is still working there. I am a paying member. This is not Walmart or Shaw's where I can just walk in and shop. I not only pay for my purchase, but I pay to shop there. For an employee to call a customer such profanity (miserable bitch) -unprovoked- with minimal consequence and is still working there shows how much they really value their customer and how they tolerate employee's bad behavior. I did get a gift card (under $100) for the inconvenience and humiliation but if the employee is still working there, I believe this warrants an apology directly from that employee, not the team lead, manager or the store. This situation was unprovoked and unwarranted and I have never been more humiliated as a paying customer and member. When I called BJ's escalation team, I was informed that a regional director will call me. A week later, instead of a call from the regional director, I received a follow up email from the escalation team asking me if the issues has been resolved to my satisfaction. I have shopped at BJ's for years and this experience is very traumatizing because I simply went into BJ's asking for a half a round of cheese, and walked out with the worse experience I've ever encountered as a customer. read more

This BJ's store is definitely one of the WORST Wholesale Clubs, ever. Steady customer rate, even during low volume hours. Exterior & Entrance SUPER ugly and old. Always a line to get a coupon book at Member Services. No discount for damaged products. Staff ok, and normally somewhat friendly, but are never present in the aisles and always seem overworked, unlike other BJ's locations. Lines are always an issue here, they do have self checkout which is a plus, yet not many regular registers are normally open. Parking lot is a complete disaster, weird islands and entrances to Technology Center Drive & Page Street..... In desperate need of complete makeover. Other BJ's stores are much better, cleaner, and less crowded. This location wasn't impressive whatsoever. Visit other BJ's locations, I much prefer the Dedham & Franklin stores. read more

I was in line today trying to get a coupon book, this work cuts me off by walking up to the desk, I said to her that was so rude because I'm in the line and you just cut me off. she said that she works here I said I know and you should know better cause it is RUDE. this bitch tells me to shut the fuck up seriously! and I went off. I asked her for her name and she refuse to give it to me, by this time her manager was there and said to her " don't even bother to argue" with an attitude. This review is for the tire shop. Not the store I took the day off today 12/16/19 from work to get a set of new tires installed on my car for an 11 A.m appointment . One of my caps that covers the lug nut was unknowingly missing . The tire technician explained that he did not have the correct tool size to take the lug nut off because the cap was missing. I though it was strange that a shop strictly catering tires did not have the correct size. So my boyfriend and I left to head a few miles down the road to an auto store and purchased a 24 piece metric socket set. I handed the tech the specific size socket so he could continue his job. This particular lug he did not use the drill. He used the hand crank. But the socket did indeed fit. The rest of the caps should not have been a problem. A few minutes later the tech tells us "This is to much work! I broke 2 of my sockets and all of your caps are different sizes. You need to take your car somewhere else or to the dealer". My car is a 2016 and I'm great condition. I'm confused as to why my sockets would be different sizes. I've never heard of such a thing. Let's say the lug nuts are different sizes.....bottom line I was told "ITS TOO MUCH WORK". Telling a customer it's too much work is HORRIBLE customer service! The fact that Bj's doesn't supply your staff with the tools to do a proper job causes bad customer relations. I am not a happy BJ's customer today. Love this BJ's! The store is absolutely enormous, with a huge selection of groceries, electronics, books, pharmacy, bakery, deli, an automotive area, and more. At most times, there's usually several stations scattered about the freezer area offering up free samples. Check-out lines move pretty quickly, and there are several self-checkout stations available. There's even a decent snack bar at the front of the store for times that you're famished from shopping or need to give the kids something. Cheap too! read more

I just love this BJ's in Stoughton. I usally go first thing on a Sunday morning. When people are either two hungover from their parties on Saturday night or they're at church. No one is in there! This place is always super clean and super friendly. Where else can I get 3 horror dvd's, a case of diet coke zeros, a 35 lb. of dog food and a 60 inch plasma TV..??? I also bought my car through the BJ's car buying service and saved 2500.00. I'm not sure a lot of people know about the service that BJ's provides. There's tons of things they provide that you would never even know!! (Customers beware: sometimes people let that simple concept lead them into buying a lot of a product they barely use; that product can then expire or go bad before you even get to open it.) * Services & Sections * This BJ's provides all the typical services that other BJ's provide: optometrist, food court, travel agency, home improvement, and auto service. They have great everyday and seasonal product selections. They label the aisles to make shopping easier. (I wish that they provided the aisle labels on the front and rear of the aisles.) I love that they have a great wine selection, and good beer and alcohol selection. From what I have seen, they seem to have the best alcohol prices in MA, especially on wine. They definitely have the biggest alcohol section I have seen so far out of all the BJ's I have visited in Eastern MA. Unfortunately, this store's alcohol section sees a lot of stealing; I have seen more and more security devices put on the alcohol bottles over the years. The produce section is OK. You're better off buying your produce at the supermarket, since it will be fresher there. This year this store added self-checkout cashier booths. It took them a while. I have seen these self-checkouts at other BJ's a few years before this one got them. This store seems to be behind the other BJ's stores when it comes to new technology and promotions. * Atmosphere * This store can get dirty with cluttered aisles at times. I have seen half-eaten food or drinks sitting on shelves. (This store should probably add trash cans near the aisles to accommodate for the lazy people that like to spread their garbage.) I always find that the parking spots close to the store are always filled, no matter what time of day I have visited it, even when the store isn't busy inside. It makes me think that the BJ's employees are hogging all of the close parking spots for themselves. The service is OK, and the staff is less friendly than at other BJ's. * Bottom Line * This BJ's location offers the typical great prices and product selections. I've been to this BJ's a couple of times now. I have to say, the lines compared to what others said have been pretty quick. We usually use the self service check out and it's never long. While I scan my friend is packing stuff away so it only took minutes to get everything done. the best part about this BJ's is that while it's busy, they are fully stocked. I haven't seen anything that's not on the shelf. the Price is reasonable like everywhere else. Stock up on meats - they're fresh!! They've also got a huge selection of baked goods. Staff are generally friendly and if you seem lost they will ask if you need assistance. also loved that they have samples for you as you're walking through some isles. read more

Really good prices on beer, alcohol, bottled water & deli meat. Best of the wholesale clubs around. This location is always pretty busy so the wait at checkouts can be a little long. Good bakery and prepared foods. We pay a little extra for the gold membership and now they send you rewards point on a Gift Card which is pretty cool. They can have really good prices on electronics as well. I purchased a Vizio Sound Bar there $20 less than anywhere else (even Best Buy). This place is a nightmare!! We had a 10:00 apt to have tires we bought installed. We arrived early as they said we should. We waited in a line for about 35 minutes, not one person working there acknowldged us or others waiting with a "sorry, we will be with as soon as possible" There was a guy there getting his tires replaced for the 4th time, he told us NOT TO BUY TIRES. Not knowing this guy we decided to have them installed. We left our key and they told us it would be 2 hours. We were told 1.5 hours and we had already waited over 35 minutes. So we left our key and went walking around and shopping and came back 2 hours later to find out car had not been done, not even been brought into the bay. At that point we had wasted 3 hours so I demanded my money back. I was given my money back and I went and got the same tires somewhere else. They are short staffed, I get it but to basically ignore customers, make apts and not be able to keep them and to tell us two hours and not even start our job is just unacceptable. I am a BJ's member but I took my business elsewhere. I suggest you do the same. I paid the same price at the tire place I went to after so it's not like BJ's is a really good deal vs other places. I was signed up for a credit card by a lady at the customer service desk who is usually at the first register most of the time, she offered it to me and I said no and a few weeks later i received a bjs credit card in the mail and when I went back to the store they couldn't even help me and the managers took her side over mine! I thought her asking for the last four digits of my social was normal, but according to what I found out, it's not. If she's done this to me, how many times has she done it to other people? My friend ordered a cake for her baby shower and they messed up the colors, were very rude, this place is extremely unprofessional. my friend wanted was a perfect baby shower cake and you couldn't even do the right colors then the name looks like it was smushed on and wasn't in middle either. when she called you were unbelievably rude and didn't offer a refund or to fix the cake. tl;dr: Bought an item from BJ's online, couldn't get a refund, repair, or return. We bought a pressure cook oven from BJ's online, and everything was fine until it broke. So we called customer service at the manufacturers, and it turns out that BJ's is an UNAUTHORIZED RETAILER for this product. This meant that the 1 year warranty that came with in the manual of the oven was VOID. This resulted in us calling BJ's, and asking why that they were an unauthorized retailer, and what we can do about this product. The customer service was horrendous, not giving us any time to process the information, and being clearly rude, disrespectful, and impatient. They directed us to the manufacturer again, letting us know that there is nothing that they could do. So, just in case, we called them again. Nope; same result. They told us that because BJ's was an unauthorized retailer, they couldn't do anything about it. So, we contacted customer service via online chat, and this time the person was very nice and listened very well, but still couldn't do anything about it. Since BJ's never made any indication as to how this was an unauthorized product and the warranty would be void, this means that we can't help but to assume that most of their products are this way. We just don't want anyone to have the same problem, so we are uploading it here. Please do not buy anything from BJ's expecting any refunds or returns on these kinds of products. read more

Went in today around 1:30 pm or so to member services and the gentleman at the register was very rude! I did not realize he was helping someone because there was nobody at his register. I proceeded to walk to his register for help and he looked very unpleasant and put his index finger up and said in a very aggravated tone "hold on I'm helping someone". what has two thumbs and loves bj's? dis guyyyyyyyyy. seriously, is a great place to shop for the basics - if you happen to have storage. good prices, but i can't get things like paper towels here, because i don't have room to store 18 rolls. on the other hand, i bought ketchup 4 years ago and have't finished it yet. they have everything here. jewelry, pet supples, food, health and beauty products, automotive services/products, electronics, and - best of all - liquor, beer and wine at this location. all at great prices. the yearly membership fee usually pays for itself by the second or third good shop. for example, the scotch i buy would be $50/bottle in the liquor store, but at bj's, it's $35. that's pretty typical. you usually get 10% - 30% savings over other stores, even the other "big-box" stores like wal-mart. selection can be a bit spotty and they don't necessarily have the same things all the time - i'm still upset they stopped selling my salt-an-pepper kettle chips - but nevertheless . . . . great shopping for families and people who need things in volume. i don't and it's still good shopping. this location also has bj's optical and bj's vacations. booked a trip to bermuda through them last year at about a 50% discount over going direct with the cruise line. not bad at all. read more

The best thing about this place is the deli! Take and number and wait your turn. The staff will slice you anything you want to taste. The meats and cheeses are always fresh and tasty. Very reasonably priced. The staff at check out are friendly. There is a small fruit and veggie section and a small freezer section. There is tons of parking. The place is very dated but at least it's clean. I like that you don't have to flash your membership card when you walk in. Just show your receipt when you leave. They also sell liquor here and clothes and shoes and books, gift cards, jewelry and lotto tickets. They also have an optical place which I would not recommend. The progressive glasses I got there were made with very cheap material and I just hated them and the readers did not fit my head properly. Great place if you buy in bulk. read more

I often shop here, & have friends and family who do as well. I am a guide dog handler & have many friends who have service dogs as well. I received a text from a friend who has a seizure alert service dog of a video that they took while shopping here today. It contained a small dog with a service dog vest on riding in a shopping cart. Yes, a shopping cart where food is placed. Despite the fact this dog was clearly not an ADA defined service dog because it was barking and growling at my friend's trained dog, even if it was a service dog it is not allowed in a cart legally. ANY animal placed in a cart where food for human consumption is placed, is a direct health code violation for that business. It puts others at risk. Would you want to eat food out of a shopping cart where a dog was riding? My friend told the manager that this is a legal violation & to please correct it, the manager laughed at my friend and told her that all they could do was ask the dog to not be in the cart. This is false. That barking dog in a cart could have been kicked out of the store legally. This store needs training on the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). The store also needs to take health code violations seriously. As a service dog handler myself this quite honestly upsets me, but as a shopper at the store it disgusts me that they allow dogs to be in shopping carts where my food is placed. I will not be shopping here any longer, and I will tell my friends and family to do the same. This puts actual working service dogs rights at risk, as well as harms their disabled owner who NEEDS The dog to carry out daily life activities. Not to mention that this puts the public at risk from an untrained dog, as well as their health at risk because of a dog being where their food is placed. Disappointing. read more

I've shopped at BJ's before but this is, by far, the worst one I have ever been to. It started with the woman at the membership desk pressuring my husband to buy a membership and then being rather rude to him when he insisted on sticking with the free trial membership. We made a decent sized purchase including fresh produce, cold cuts, and bakery items. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, went bad within a week. The muffins we bought went moldy by the end of the week (despite the expiration date) as did all of the produce. Funny, but we never have that problem with any produce or fresh food items we buy at Costco. We recently received a letter asking us if we wanted to purchase a membership now that the free trial was up. That letter went in the trash. read more

Tire department is a complete disaster. They take "appointments" but don't honor them. I came three different times for my free rotation, and was told each time that the guy with the calibration tool wasn't in yet, he was coming late, and they weren't sure if he was coming in. They ordered the wrong tires for my husband's car. As I write this, I'm in line waiting for the sulky manager to look up my original receipt because the tire people aren't capable of looking up records on their own. The store is fine if you need a booze run or large quantities of stuff, but the tire department is not worth the $20 you save in the trouble you go through. Waste of time. read more

One of the busiest BJs on the South Shore, this location appears to be chronically understaffed on different days and different hours. Currently 10 carts deep at one of only three checkout lanes open at 7pm on a Tuesday .... Amazing. The aisles often look picked over and crowded and we find that this location tends to have items closer to their expiry date - be sure to double check those meat / dairy / produce products (not to mention dry goods). Combine the above with the lack of self-checkout lanes here make the drive to their Norton store worth the extra time. This will be our last visit to this store :/ read more

BJs and the Stoughton location in particular is the epitome of mediocrity. Nothing bad to say about the experience but certainly nothing exceptional. The experience is much better than what's to be had at it's poorly run counterpart in Dedham with its long lines and subpar employees. Pricing and selection is just ok , tire store is poor and bring something to read if you plan to use the deli. BJs Stoughton fills a need for this family of five and we'll keep renewing our ever increasing membership as long as this continues but don't expect to be overwhelmed with helpful staff. read more
