I have started to appreciate this Costco more. There is a huge Indian and Asian community that goes to this one and I love that they have so much for them from lentils to rotis. From dahi to dosa batter. Love that they have fresh flowers and currently even trees for sale. A lot of it is very affordable and with the executive membership check that comes home year end it makes Costco totally worth it. We have gotten tires for our cars here and also have Costco insurance. I love the one stop shop feature with Costco. We recently had an incident outside the tire shop where someone kept honking and cursing at us for taking too long to get air. We had a Costco employee run to defend us and ask the person to back off. Love the courtesy of the staff. In the clothing section where everything with a big pile of clothes, the staff didn't get angry except helped us sort through the pile to find our size. We'd go back and continue shopping for experiences like this. read more

For years, a weekly trip to the Cedar Park Costco has been part of our routine and, judging by our receipts, we've probably helped pay for a few light bulbs in the building! We've happily spent thousands of dollars there over the years, and it was always a great experience. But over the last eight months or so, I've started to dread walking through those doors. Not because of the products, but because of the customer service. The latest example? We were turned away from entering 10 minutes before 10:00 a.m. on a weekday because we aren't Executive Members. There wasn't a single customer waiting to get in. Zero. It wasn't about crowd control or capacity, it was simply, "No." Come on, Costco. Loyalty should count for something. What a deal! There was a glitch on the pre scanned counter but three people jumped in to help until it got sorted. So many great deals! After our weekly grocery run at Costco, we stopped by the food court and discovered a new treat: the minty chocolate float! It's a busy Costco but they always manage to move the check-out lines the return lines fast. Their food court is busy but they manage to keep it tidy and fairly clean. Today I came into Costco with my family to purchase some items. As we approached the register, a gentleman asked if our items were together, and I explained that although we are in the same household, we would be paying separately. He said that would not be an issue. When we got to the register, the customer in front of us was having issues with her card declining, and the cashier already seemed visibly annoyed and frustrated. When it was our turn, she didn't even acknowledge us. I explained again that our purchases were separate, and without saying anything, she scanned the membership card. Thankfully, the items separated correctly, but the cashier still acted irritated because my mom wasn't pulling out her card fast enough. She wouldn't make eye contact, barely spoke, and made the whole interaction uncomfortable. I actually felt rushed trying to hurry my mom because of the cashier's attitude. When it was my turn to pay, she again said absolutely nothing -- not even a simple "have a good day." Unfortunately, the poor customer service continued at the food court. After waiting a very long time for our food, the employee helping us said our pepperoni slice would take another minute. I told her that was fine, but after several more minutes passed and no pepperoni pizza came out, I politely asked if I could just get a cheese slice instead. Her response was "obviously," with an attitude. The cheese slice she handed me barely had any cheese on it and was mostly bread, so I politely asked if I could get another slice instead. She then snapped and said, "Can you not touch it?" even though I had only pointed at the slice and never touched it. When I told her I didn't touch it, she seemed irritated again and asked aggressively which slice I wanted before grabbing another one. At that point, I just said, "That one is fine, but can I get your name?" She refused to provide her name and wasn't even wearing a name tag. Right after that, her attitude suddenly changed and she said, "I didn't mean to upset you, I just didn't know which slice you wanted." Honestly, this was the worst Costco experience I've had. The staff at the Georgetown location are much friendlier, professional, and welcoming. After today, I'd rather continue shopping there instead. read more

We went to the Cedar Park Costco on Saturday afternoon and had the worst experience we have ever had shopping. We went to pick up a prescription and while there we picked up a few items, hoping to get out as soon as possible. The store was extremely crowded with only two cashiers checking . Both the self check out line and the 2 cashier lines went beyond the back of the store and curved around the back isles. There were at least 60 or 70 people in each line. Because of the fact that I am elderly and my sister is visually impaired and disabled, we asked an employee if another line could be opened up and she informed us that we would just have to go back to the end of the line again. This Costco used to be such a well run store, as I have been shopping there for years, now it's run down with very unfriendly employees who offered no help at all. So I explained that we had no choice but to leave our items in the baskets ( as our ice cream was melting), and leave the store without purchasing any of the items in our baskets totaling around $500.00 each. Needless to say, we won't be returning to the Cedar Park Costco. read more

this location is chronically understaffed and always crowded. I go to a few Costco locations and this one is the worst. Staff are stressed and they stack products in the crowded aisles Self check lines don't have a scan gun so each item has to be pulled out and run through the scanner. I find it better to drive to Georgetown or Liberty Hill as the drive time is equal to the length of time spent standing in line. read more

Spacious, wide variety, and efficient staff. For this location, I see that they are more limited on Asian food selection compared to the Research Blvd location. If you're looking for samples, I recommend coming around 11-1. They're mostly by the food area, and the check out, but they set a few up throughout other spots as well. Food court: I mean Costco hot dog is always a great deal. I also love the chicken bake. Plenty of seating areas and luckily people do try to keep it clean as well. Staff: They are efficient and try to get things done so make sure you hustle when it's your turn to pay. They can be intimidating lol but some are actually really sweet! Today I was denied entry to Costco at Cedar Park for having a bag from great American cookie. I was misgendered, and humiliated by two female employees. I've been a member with Costco for over 20 years and I've never been treated like this before. The manager came over and was flippant towards me about the policy of not bringing a bag into the store! I had walked there because I didn't have a car, and this store is in a major shopping center, I'm sure I'm not the only one who shopped around and didn't have a car! We have been Costco patron since it the beginning in Seattle. We have always hailed it as the place to go. We are responsible for probably 200 members in pewaukee Wisconsin when they first opened. But cedar park we had our worst experience. The lines are horribly long and slow but the worst part was a recent experience. My wife was in a line that went to the back of the store to buy cinemas gift cards at self checkout. The cards are on the packet. No one has to go get them. They are already there and after my wife got all the way to the front Abby said you can't buy those up here. My wife said I just stood in all this line and I see all the other lines are long. Is there anything you can do. She said get in another line very rudely. My wife asked if it was new rule and Abby was again rude and said nope nothing I can do with an attitude said go get in line. I purchased online the Palram 8'x8' Canopia greenhouse in March 2023. After we built our 12'x12' ArmorGuard composite deck on memorial weekend, we began assembling the greenhouse the following weekend starting at 7:30am dreading the higher temperatures later being a 100 degree day by 4:45ish, before clean up. It took 2 of us 9-9 1/2 hours with no lunch break but many water breaks for rehydration! Warning! There are a million pieces of hardware and average pieces of framing and paneling. Lastly, we secured the greenhouse to our composite deck. Before this, we had another Palram for 8-9 years through Amazon that held up well considering the Texas heat, high winds, snow, hail and numerous ice storms the past 3 years. It was time to breakdown the old treated cedar stained wood and start anew. This newer model seems to be much cooler with the textured grooved, matted roofing. I am very pleased and is well worth the purchase and labor. read more

I was really disappointed with Liana today. She was the cashier where I was in line. Customer A had an issue with her card. She pulled the cart back while Customer A did some digging. Customer B waited and came through without issue. I was Customer C and my time came up with items waiting to be scanned. Customer A comes back and says I am ready. Liana never said a word to me. She starts checking out Customer A. The transaction could not complete. Customer A was not a member. I had to wait for Customer A transaction to be voided. No apology given by Liana, no communication. When I spoke up, it was a half hearted apology. I sat waiting along with several other customers for a customer without a card. I just did not feel this was right. read more

Buy in bulk at reasonable prices. The merchandise is easy to find, because the signage is large and clear. The staff keeps the store clean and is thorough with check-outs, and security keeps out the riff-raff. It would, however, be nice to see more check-stands. read more

Don't use them for ATT. I traded in my phone but never received trade-in value. Don't think It wont happen to you. ATT is notorious for jot listening to customers and Costco event can't help. I love Costco. They are always changing their inventory, so you have the staples. Then you also have lots of seasonal items. Occasionally there are hot deals but for the most part, the prices are fair. The produce and meat are fresh. I have always had good service for items that I have had to return. Every employees seems to be working hard. There is no idling or twiddling thumbs. The store isn't perfect though. Is it very busy? Yes. Is it hard to maneuver a huge cart around the self check out line with random people deciding to park their cart so no one can pass? Yes. I would still highly recommend Costco. Are the samples delicious. Yes! Is there always parking at this location? Yes. My only suggestion would be to restock items that have run out midday. We went to get some Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches around 5 pm, and the freezer was empty. There were more in storage, but they aren't allowed to bring more out because they only restock in the morning. Still love Costco though. read more

I visited the Costco optical department today. It was a very pleasant experience. The people who work there are so kind and patient. The assortment of glasses is quite generous, even including non-prescription sunglasses. They have expensive brands and less expensive brands, but all are very good quality. I enjoyed walking through and looking at the frames and trying them on, the most difficult part was only picking one! They do have a special that the second pair is discounted, but that was not for me today. I got transition tinting on my glasses so that they turn darker when I go in the sun! It's going to take one to two weeks for the glasses to get back to me, but I can hardly wait! Next time, I am going to do some heavy duty shopping. I highly recommend this optical department for some good glasses made in a very professional manner. read more

The female customer service person at the self-check out could clearly see. I had a wrap around my wrist. She refused to let me use the gun to scan my items and had me lift all the heavy items out and then put them back in. Then when I went to get my water. I had it halfway lifted up and she says oh I'll scan that for you totally inappropriate!!!!! She already knew she was out of line and then she wants to help me out after she saw me lift it has she knew people were looking. read more

I drove 2 HOURS to go to this Costco to get a Monstera Thai Constellation. I called ahead and they confirmed they had some. They set 3 aside for me since I said I was coming from San Antonio. I'm ecstatic! I get in the car and drive over and when I get there the plants are just regular monsteras. I talked to one employee and she was not helpful so I spoke to the manager who was also not helpful. They just said it's listed under tropical plant. When I called I said the name and description of the plant. I'm upset I drove 2 hours to get these plants that weren't even there. I have a Costco 5 mins from my house. I didn't need to go to one 2 hours away if they didn't have what I needed. The items need to be labeled correctly. I am tempted to just cancel my membership. read more

This is the first Costco I have ever been to where every employee I interacted with was so rude. I needed help with my Costco card, the lady would not answer any of my questions and yelled "NEXT!" I have to say, the people in the store, customers and employees alike are a lot nicer than at the Costco where I came from, in Reno Nevada. Everybody's pretty courteous, but the one thing that stood out was the fact that I went there specifically for a dish set that I was told was in stock. My daughter and I went to the isle Where it should have been, but it wasn't. There was a bowl sitting on the display, so we grabbed the bowl and hunted down an employee. We found an employee who told us it was likely in the pallet that was on the top, and if we could find a manager who was willing to drop it so that we could get it, it was likely up there. We found Josh, the front end manager, and he was awesome! He checked on two things that we were looking for, got the pallet dropped so that we could get our dishes, and looked for the other item for us. They didn't have the other item in stock, which was fine because I already placed an order for it, but would've canceled it if I could've found it in the store. The one thing that I did not like was, my daughter and I were walking up, we were within hearing distance, and my daughter said, "there's a manager," and the general manager, who was standing there with Josh, grew wings and took off! He wanted nothing to do with dealing with customers, and that was not OK. If you're the general manager, you not only need to set an example for your employees, but you need to let the customers know that you care, so you don't run away when a customer notices that you're standing there. I won't rate the store lower because of the general manager, simply because Josh and the other employee, I didn't get his name and I'm sorry about that, made up for the discourteous nature of the general manager, who I hope they never learn to emulate. read more

As a business, this place is great. The staff is always so friendly and great with kids. We enjoy seeing all the new products to use, eat, and/or play with here. This place was totally clutch during the Covid pandemic of 2020 when milk and other necessities were getting scarce. Now let's talk about the crowds. This place is very busy with customers who sometimes don't exactly know shopping etiquette (moving to one side so people can get by in aisles, stopping right in the middle of the walkway to gaze at something, and cutting the long self service line to name a few annoyances), but the employees still give service with a smile. So bring your patience and your pocketbooks to enjoy this warehouse of fun. read more

I've been a Costco executive member for over 25 years. I rarely return purchases, but I tried to return a Costco prepared food item, you know the ones in the plastic carton. These had a bad smell. I took them back to this Costco 2 days after purchase and they promptly refused the return, saying it was 1 day beyond the "sell date." Not the expire date mind you, but the sell date.They do not follow the general return policy created by Costco, and use their own arbitray discretion to refuse returns. I've never been treated so disgustingly rude and unfair at any other Costco. I will never shop at this particular Costco again and it is horrible. I do not recommend anyone to shop here. read more

Was shopping at Costco, bought my groceries, went out to my car and had a dead battery. Went back in, bought a new battery and asked if they had a wrench for sale so that I could change the battery. This store deserves five stars. Let's be honest, any Costco I have been to on the weekend the parking lot is busy and the gas lines are crowded. The gas lines go by fast since the pumps are long enough to reach your tank on either side. I prefer to visit on weeknights to avoid the crowds. I have found some amazing stuff here. Pillows, clothes, food, water, cakes, camera, etc. I haven't used Costco travel packages, but I have friends who use it religiously. The Costco is clean and employees are helpful. read more
