This hobby lobby sits sandwiched between other large big box retailers, like Ashley and Ross. When you walk through the front door, it's a good idea to stop and pick up a copy of their sales sheet. You can also check out the sale items online from week to week. Their sale items rotate almost every week so if you have something in mind, if you can wait long enough, it will be on sale soon. What's nice about this hobby lobby is how well organized, clean, and well stocked it is. There is a custom framing department here and their premade frames often go on sale. Every single time I come here, there are boxes laying open everywhere. I thought it was in prep for the holiday season and figured that I came on stocking day. Nope, same boxes plus more have been sitting in the aisles for about two weeks. You can't really stroll the aisles because you're constantly having to maneuver round the boxes and let people pass since they're essentially one way lanes. To top it off, every single encounter with a cashier is so unpleasant. They surely take their time ringing people up. The lines are so long and take quite a bit to get through. I can deal with long lines but encountering unfriendliness when it's my turn definitely makes it an pleasant experience. read more

This store is a mess. I've never seen so many employees working at the same time but yet there are boxes blocking aisles; probably because they are just standing around on their phones. The other stores in Round Rock and Pflugerville don't look like this. This store has to be the most unorganized one. Great representation of how lazy people are here. read more

I was searching for an outside planter made of ceramic that was reasonably priced. Let's call this mission impossible. Ceramic is not cheap. Most were priced in the 50 to 80 dollar range. I resigned myself to spending more than I wanted. Now to find one that would work on my patio and easy access for my cat. Yes, I planned to plant cat grass and catnip in it. Nothing caught my eye. They all looked like any other planter. I decide to walk the store more to see if there was anything I could use in place of ceramic. There were lots of discount signs for different merchandise. One area hooked me, wicker baskets. For 50% off I bought 3 square baskets. They have interesting items but most not my style. It was good to get those wicker baskets at a great price. read more

Honesty does not seem to be the norm here. We were shopping for items to decorate an Airbnb and trying to save money, we stuck to all the 'on sale' tables. We spent several hours finding just the right items at the right price. When we got to the checkout, the cashier informed us that half the items were NOT on sale. We explained we only bought off the sale tables and she quipped, "Oh they sometimes decorate sale tables with items that are not on sale". Really, what a bait-and-switch operation! and what a waste of time. I will never shop here again and will warn anyone that does that it's a ripoff. read more

We visited this location today. There was a lack of store presence throughout the store. I even attempted to call their phone number from inside the store in order to locate a product and hung up after numerous rings as no one ever answered. I shouldn't be ridiculed for not being able to find something after looking in several locations before asking for help. I don't find the people in the fabric dept very friendly. Also, it would be helpful if they had a number system for getting fabric cut. You're just suppose to know where to line up. That's easy if there are already people in line. But they still want you to que up even if there is no one there but you and the person at the fabric table. ‍ read more

Other than the super religious feel that you get when you walk in, it was great!! They had walls of different colored paper, decor, stickers, fabrics, frames, seasonal stuff, themed party stuff .. you name it! The employees here are super friendly. There was one lady who would walk down aisles asking if anyone needed help. It was so awesome! Their prices are really decent and their merch really leaves you not needing to look any further. Piss poor customer service. I called the store prior to visiting. Spoke to Heather, an associate in the store. Specifically asked her if I could return an item and purchase it back if I bought it 3 weeks ago. She told me technically I could. Therefore, I proceeded to the store. Once I arrived, another associate who happens to be her mom told me that is not the policy and heather would never tell me that because they have both worked there 7 years. We called heather to the front. She was clearly nervous because she had told me one thing over the phone and apparently store policy is something different. I asked the store manager to honor the request since I had been told it could be done over the phone. The store manager stated that she overheard the whole conversation and she never told me that. I grilled her about hearing it and the store manager later retracted that statement. 2 lies in one sitting by 2 different associates.... not good hobby lobby. This place is great. I started my son early on the arts and crafts. When we moved here I had gotten rid of most of my paints and anything that could leak so I had to get everything again. They have great sales. If you go in there once a week or so than you can find different sales. If you pick up stuff you know you'll use in the future you can save a bunch of money. I got some cookie cutters and I make different shapes for my little man's sandwiches for school. I also do lots of crafts with him. He has painted so many pictures. I also had him paint for presents for the holiday. Great gift not much money. He's made a wreath for his teacher for her birthday. I enjoy having him do different projects because it will get him ready for kindergarten. You can turn an old thing into something new or take stuff and turn it into art or something fun with some creativity. read more

Not a frequent visitor to Hobby Lobby, till now! I was designing some framed pictures for my wife for our anniversary. Went to Michael's since I've been there before, but customer service wasn't great and the prices were hard to stomach. I wanted to just have some matts done for my frames since they're custom framing was so outrageous, but even those were nearly $80 per and my coupon wasn't worth anything since I wasn't buying frames. This led me to try Hobby Lobby. Wow!! Holly, was incredibly helpful. She even wrapped my matts to protect from the inclement weather outside. They cut their own matts in house, so the prices were dirt cheep and they took the coupon I had printed out, no problem!! Very happy with the service, the products and the end result!! And!!!! Love this place lots of different things to see lot of different things for the house... furniture is kind of expensive even at 30% off. When I go in I like to take in my coupon for 40% off. My wife and I purchased our Christmas tree skirt here at 60" in diameter at 50% off really great deal as I stated earlier lots of stuff for the house. I don't usually come to this store joyfully. If I need to come in here, it is normally because I need to buy supplies for some sort of project. Other than the seasonal items which are always near the front, I always need to ask someone where I can find what I'm looking for. I guess that's not a bad thing, but I like to usually try to get in and out of these types of stores and not have to feel lost or wander around aimlessly. Often times when I get to the register I feel like this process takes longer than it should at this store as well. This is probably due to the archaic registers where they still punch in the item number for every item you are buying as opposed to a bar code scanner. For a retailer of this size, you would think they would update their POS system. I do like the fact that they always have a coupon you can use. read more

I love Hobby Lobby! The staff is so friendly. I needed help in the floral department, and "Tiffany" helped me a lot. I wouldn't have known where to look, for the item that I needed, but her expertise took me right to it. It was also after closing time, and I was checking out at the register. It seems I'm not the only one who's had a bad "customer service" (if you can even call it that) experience at this location. On multiple occasions I've entered, hoping each experience wouldn't be like the last with the lack of help finding specific items that I know the chain carries. Instead I only get eye rolling and huffing when an employee is asked a question. One time a lady even answered the phone mid sentence with a finger being held up to me to shush me. Another level of rude, but I guess I'm the dummy because I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went again hoping for a better shopping experience. Nope. While I typically love shopping at Hobby Lobby, returns are ridiculously difficult. The fact you can only go to certain registers is my number one complaint. I was just in the store, and only two registers were open. The woman who came to open a new register when she saw both lines were very long opened up on the far side, so people from the other line jumped over there. The ONE line I had to stand in was not helped at all by the opening of the new register. Lines were moving so slow, I had to leave for an appointment. I should be able to walk in with receipts and return items in less than 15 minutes. I shouldn't have to stand in line longer than that. read more

I respect return policy rules, but the returns/exchange girl at hobby lobby Cedar Park today was so rude! I had a lamp to return with receipt. She said she couldn't return it because their return policy was 60 days for money back with receipt and I was over that. No problem... I said ok, well what if I didn't have a receipt - what's your policy, and she said you get store credit for our lowest price the last 30 days. The price tag on my lamp was $60 and I paid $30 (I got it on sale) and that's still the sale price so I said ok, I'll take the $30 store credit and ring me up as if I don't have a receipt then. Her response- I can't because you do have a receipt and I've seen it. ARE YOU FOR REAL? I said so I should just come back when you aren't here and get my money back? Why not just go to another hobby lobby then and get my money? That's ridiculous and I walked out. So on my way home, I pass the RR store, go inside sans receipt & get my store credit. Even worse is i had purchased it TAX EXEMPT for work and I ended up getting the tax back because I couldn't say anything about the receipt I actually had. That is ridiculous. Boo Hobby Lobby Cedar Park! Where is your customer service. There's nothing against your policy to just let me return it with store credit. If I could give negative stars this is the place I would give them to. I used to shop here often but had to sort through the damaged and dirty items to find the 1 or 2 out of 10 that looked good enough to purchase without home repair. Indoor items last ok but outdoor items forget about it! They fade and fall apart in no time. There is a reason this stuff is so cheap. The final do in was the horrid customer service. I worked retail during my college years so I can tell you with all certainty that this place does not know the definition. Sadly, as I found out the hard way the corporate customer service is just as incompetent as this individual store. When I went to return some items I didn't end up needing they accused me of damaging the items and questioned if they would take them back. I returned the items EXACTLY in the condition I purchased them. That tells you a lot about the store when they don't want to take back their own dirty merchandise they are willing to sell to their customers. I did not at all appreciate the rude customer service and the manager was nothing but a smart *** the entire time. I contacted the corporate customer service for many months and got the same incompetent idiot each time who was completely worthless and didn't fix anything. The manager of the store who was supposed to call me never did and neither the store nor the corporate office would issue an apology for the unacceptable customer service at this location. With this being a nation wide chain run by a supposedly great Christian man with high standards this store and the corporate office sure do not reflect that. I am truly curious to know if he accepts this sort of behavior from his company representatives or if he really has no idea these are the people representing him and his company. If all that wasn't enough another time I had some drugged out high school kid tell me to move out of his way so he could sweep the floor where I was standing looking at merchandise. Yet another time I had some girl at the cashier station check me out and when she was finished said, "finally, I can get back to my real job". I'm sorry honey...don't you get a paycheck from here? From a store that stays in business due to customers shopping here? Customer service is your first job, fluffing fake flowers comes second. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Hobby Lobby has just about anything you would need for arts & crafts. It can be a little difficult to navigate the huge store to find what you are looking for - and staff is always in short supply - but they do have a wide selection of ready made crafts for decor. I like how they display finished projects at the beginning and end of the components aisles for each craft. Prices are higher than some other craft stores, but they have more finished crafts to purchase. read more
