The parking lot leaves a lot to be desired, but once you make it past that it's smooth sailing. I love this Round Rock Sam's Club! The fresh raw meat is high quality, much better tasting than Costco or HEB. Their chicken pot pie in the meat dept is outstanding, it's full of chicken and the crust tastes so buttery. It's huge, too, it can feed 8 adults. I love the Scan & Go on their app. So easy to use and no waiting to check out. This location offers lots of food samples on weekends. Their Member Mark items are excellent! Convenient when I'm in the Pflugerville area and just need to pick up one or two things or am on a quest to find leftover end-of-stock merchandise. This store feels smaller than most of the other clubs in Austin. At times it feels like they have more of certain products than the other clubs particularly in the grocery lines. Then again sections like health and beauty tend to have narrower selections. Perhaps this is based on demographics that visit the store and the things they buy, but for the occasional traveling customer, it can be a bit frustrating. Also frustrating is the lack of a gas station I guess that doesn't fit the mold of La Frontera so that's why they don't have one. And truth be told there's a Walmart gas station immediately across the interstate that has pretty good prices as well. If you're there during Cafe hours, you really can't beat their soft serve cup of ice cream for a dollar plus tax Recommended if in the area and you need a quick Sam's Club fix. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. The employees here are completely worthless and no help. This place is a dump and all the employees seem to be worthless. Self check stands not working and you have 2 cashier aisles only and process credit applications while others behind wait. Not to mention your employees don't speak English and doesn't know how to do his job. How long do you expect people to wait in line? 5, 10, 15min?? Sam's Club follows a familiar warehouse shopping formula: lots of bulk items on display at great prices. This particular location generally has a decent selection of merchandise, and the meat department is especially good with beef, pork, chicken, and seafood items readily available. One thing I do not care for is the parking situation. It is always difficult to navigate through the parking area and is constantly congested in front of the store. A better layout would make egress much easier but that's not likely to happen any time soon. Overall, this location is nothing special and meets the standard you'd expect. read more

Over the past few months we have become so unimpressed with the Sam's Club closest to where we live that I decided to try the Round Rock club even though it's quite a drive. I'm sorry to have to say that the service here is even worse I've been waiting for 35 minutes and no one has even come out to see who might be waiting in the club pick up area. The young man who finally arrived, obviously not his fault unless he was assigned here and I didn't get that impression, all I can say is I'm very disappointed. I will not renew our membership nor will we be shopping with Sam's anymore. We will go back to the competition. I don't use pick up just because, I am having some health issues which demand that I use pick up. Ok-I arrived at 1:45 for a pick up time of between 1 PM and 2 PM. It's now 2:35 PM and I still don't have my order. The young man who went to get it came back out and said that they hadn't picked it yet so it wasn't available for him to bring out. I don't get mad very often but I am pretty upset! Sam's Club, shame on you for your lack of customer service!!! Update-I can't believe I'm still here at 3:11 PM. They have a problem with keeping the shopping carts available for customers. The last three times I have shopped there I had to hunt one down from the parking lot. I have disabilities so I park in a handicap space. Walking with a cane to the entrance then back out twice the distance to retrieve a cart is horrible. Once inside I have to navigate the endless salesman pushing solar panels, cell phone plans, and "Have you heard about"...plans I don't want. Don't even get me started about the sloth they have working at the concession stand. The scan and go is the best thing I've used yet. read more

Yeah this Sam's Club isn't like others but I like the fact they are willing to help if they don't carry the product I'm looking for, they'll direct me. Downloading the app is also helpful. read more

I love my local Sam's club. It's clean, mostly stocked. Every once in awhile they won't have an item I want or I am looking for. My only problem is the solicitors in the building. I shouldn't be solicited in a place I have to pay to shop in. I was there over the weekend and I was on the phone while shopping. I said "not interested, thank you though" and he asked two or three more questions after I said I was not interested and this is when he could clearly see I was on the phone. I thought it was a bit rude. It wasn't some social call, taking my sweet time. I was making a phone call to see how much toliet paper we had and I kept getting interrupted. read more

Back in August of this year I purchased some gift card to Kobe Japanese Steakhouse from Sam's as a Christmas gift for my daughters. Gave them out this past Christmas and now I find out they are only good at one particular restaurant located in Honolulu Hawaii. Why does a national chain store like Sam's sell a gift card to a nationally recognized restaurant chain that is only good at a singular location? I placed the following post on Sams Club review website and it was rejected as it contains inappropriate content. "Useless These Cards are only good in Hawaii, I don't remember ever seeing any of this info on the website when I originally purchased these cards, gave one to each of my daughters for Christmas and find out they won't accept them in Texas. The service here is generally good, but it does seem that they need more staff. It can be slow at times at customer service or when checking out. It did get faster since they added to self-check-out machines, so now I just go to pick up a few things and go to those. The tire shop sometimes doesn't pick up the phone and that's the only way to make an appointment. It's rare that they can ever take your car as a walk-in, so I always call a few days in advance. The main problem that I have is the staff smoking area. They are allowed to smoke right alongside the online order pickup car lane. I sat in my car waiting for my order to come out and the smoke was coming in through my car's AC. I could even smell it later that day lingering in the car. That's worrisome for people who are sensitive to smoke or who have asthma. read more

Sams CLUB, fine. I usually love buying @ Sams. Sams Club DELI, horrible. It is the epitome of everything that is Wal-Mart, seriously. They have changed SO much in a years time, that now, I just expect to be disappointed and don't even stop. I have even called mgmt about my disappointment, expecting I'm not the only loyal customer noticing, and they just don't seem to care. Rarely are the areas ever clean. The fountain area is always a gross mess. Spills, lids, napkins everywhere. Granted, some disgusting humans clearly don't clean up after themselves, its Sams Club employees that Id THINK are responsible for keeping the areas clean?.. They are always out of something. They change the items up too damn often, so just when your starting to love something its gone. They switch brands, so now what you used to love ordering tastes totally different. And staff.. WTF. They cant keep staff for nothing. They used to always have the same kitchen crew, knew their shit, and where not always the most professional or groomed, they seemed to run it efficiently. Where else can you go and buy a multi-year supply of mayonnaise in a single five gallon jar?! With that said, did you know that Sam's also serves food during lunch? Well, they do. Did you know that the food they serve is also free? Well, it is! Believe it or not, you can go to Sam's on any given day and there are people at the corners of each food isle giving away food - FOR FREE! Each sample is served in small portions, but there is no set limit to the amount of these free samples that you can obtain. Just the other day, I was low on cash so I went to Sam's and sure enough they were giving out free samples of pizza. It was delicious and I couldn't stop gobbling down the many little bite-sized samples that were set out before me. I just stood there eating and eating, until finally, the lady told me that I had eaten half of the pizza. She seemed aggravated a bit about something, so the place looses the fifth gold star due to apparent irritability. The waitress also told me she was out of pizza samples (though I know she had more behind the counter - I saw it - she just wouldn't put them out for me), but then she informed me that they served the same pizza up in the front on the other side of the check out lanes in a deli there. Sure enough, they served the same pizza per slice (not sample sized) for really cheap prices, but not for free. They also have hot dogs. However, I was already stuffed full of the free samples, so I left. read more

Moreover they have frequent membership specials for new members which you should take advantage of. Then when you get here you find out they haven't had in stock for a long time, maybe even days or weeks. Their "customer disservice" department acts like they don't care at all if you shop with them, and how dare you for expecting a membership-based wholesale store to have large quantities of stock on hand. I see many people complaining about bad service or poor employees, just came her to add to the consensus that this store is understaffed. I needed to speak with someone in the optometry department. Not having the direct line I called the main number and it rang and rang for 2 to 3 minutes before I hung up. I tried again more than an hour later and let my phone sit there ringing, gave up after 22 minutes. For a store that cannot answer their phone, there should be a zero-stars rating. i'm going to have to drive up there and deal with my issue in person, it will probably be the last time I step foot in a Sam's ever again. read more

A while ago I went to the Sam's Club at Sundance Pkwy. in Round Rock to check out a price on an item and to sign up as a member. After checking the price, I saw three windows for customer service. I don't remember the name of the first window but there was no one in line. Another window had a large line of people where (I believe) they were paying bills. I went to the window marked for new accounts (to sign up) and there was no line. But when I said I wanted to sign up, I was told to get into the back of the line at the other window. I said that I didn't want to pay a bill, I simply wanted to sign up for an account. I was told to go to the other line anyway. I was so PO'ed that I just left and never went back. read more
