That's a lot of eggs lol

Stopped by Costco after work today. I am always dreaming about their warm chocolate chip cookies at their Cafe. Noticed they have some nice looking fans for the warmer weather when it finally arrives. I am enjoying this cooler weather and rain! I am not use to ordering at their computer screens still..something was going wrong. A very nice employee helped me figure it out.

Stopped by a couple weeks ago to grab a pizza, and the first thing an employee tells me is that I "would be renewing" my membership, which was about to expire at the end of August. Not asked--told. I get that reminding members is technically helpful, but the tone made it feel like I was being barked at rather than assisted. There are polite ways to give a heads-up before checkout without turning it into a power play--this wasn't one of them. Costco still has decent prices and the pizza is good, but experiences like this--combined with past frustrating encounters--make the visit unnecessarily unpleasant. I'd go somewhere else, but this is the only one conveniently close (and I'm not risking my life in the Stanford Ranch one's parking lot), so I tolerate it. Still, the way staff handle customers at the entrance is annoying and frankly rude. Not trying to be petty, just hoping management sees this and does something about it.

I love coming here for some things but I don't like the fact it's always super crowded and crazy in the parking lot and also in the store. The staff are always super friendly and helpful and nice. And I love that they always carry new things as well. There currently redoing there food court area. Also there's always a problem with there card readers when you try to pay with your atm card or extra . But other than that the store is always clean and the staff are always super nice and helpful and friendly and the service is good as well. I have been coming here for many many years.

At least the receipt says please and thank you... Katie M. lacks basic customer service skills and unnecessarily escalates situations!

Definitely appreciate the fast and helpful interactions with the staff when they help you check out of a chaotic costco ASAP. Demetrius was kind and super quick in assisting us today. He scanned everything with lightning speed and sent us on our way in a kind fashion. Liz is always nice as she checks out your receipt to make sure you got everything you bought - I swear she wants to say hello but she is counting so her hello will be delayed and will be followed by a witty and hilarious comment as you walk to your car. Demetrius and Liz always have great vibes - so glad they rescued the feel of costco after my last visit, in which I encountered a fight-seeking cashier who decided she would make sure every customer followed her orders, despite them not truly being policy.

Quality/Quantity - Best deal around for gas, better than both the Bay Area and Reno! Atmosphere - Approximately 2 miles off the freeway. Other than the bottleneck entrance to the gas station, it is fairly smooth. Open 7 days a week, see pictures or Yelp for specific hours. Service - N/A, self service, so great Price - Again, best gas prices; better than Bay Area and Reno. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 2003. Congrats on all your success since 1976, since Price Club. Now you are the 5th largest retailer in the world and #10 on the Fortune 500. 804 warehouses worldwide, with 558 in the US. 1980 IPO. 1993 Price Club and Costco merger. 1997 Rebrand all locations to Costco. 2020 105.5 million members.

Anyway, I love shops like this where you can "treasure hunt" so had to check it out. "Charity Shop Wholesale is a division of Charity Shop LLC. We help resellers, business owners, brokers, and more source quality return and overstock product to help their business's grow. We are also open to the general public FREE of charge providing great deals, 40% to 80% off the original retail price from companies like Target, Home Depot, Amazon, Lowe's, Walmart, Ashley Furniture and more!" We went to check it out briefly and were so glad we did. We did a brief look but saw nice discounted furniture that we're going to likely go back for! We bought cat litter that's normally $15 on chewy for $10. And a box of Japanese face masks that sell for $15 on Amazon for $9. Then hubby got hangry and had to leave. Charity shop is located near Big Lots and Gold's Gym and yay, on my way home from work / only 8min from home and open till 7pm on weekdays so I expect I'll be going there often now!!! Go check it out!

Its always well stocked, very clean and competitively priced for the area. The majority of the employees are very friendly and treat you like a valued customer. I enjoy shopping here, multiple times a week. I have held off on this review for some time, but i've had enough. Everytime I go in there is a specific employee who just treats me like crap. She will greet the person in front of me, being very friendly, as well as the one behind me, but every single time I'm there she's rude, shes short with me and seems like for no reason I can think of, dislikes me. Like blatantly, it feels bad to be in her line, but there is no other options most of the time. Today I came in to grab a few things and I noticed she was following me around the store. This is a first, but she was on me like a hawk. It made me feel pretty bad considering I spend hundreds of dollars here a week, which she knows because she checks me out in line all the time. Yet tonight I got the feeling she was almost insinuating that I was stealing. Whats odd is another couple in the store were actually acting suspicious, likely stealing, but she disregarded them and went for me. Not sure of her name because shes always rude to me, but she is the only black lady that works there. If you want to accuse me of stealing then just do it, dont follow me around, treating me different than every other customer day in and day out. I spend far too much money there to be accused of being a thief. No other employee has ever treated me with anything but kindness. Guessing its time to check out Amazon Fresh across the way.

With so many State employees, "good enough for government work" fits a little too well. We've gained better boba spots since the pandemic, though still not at the Bay Area level. And from all the Bay Area people that I've met, they like Sac's housing prices, but miss their favorite restaurants. The Bay Area also has better board‑game cafes, but after my visit to Galaxy Game Cafe, I can say this one feels right at home, and that's good enough in the best possible way. (If you don't know, there's been a trend of Bay Area people moving to Sac). My friend suggested we check it out; he'd been before and enjoyed it. My first impression, was the "X" in "Galaxy" cleverly mimicking an X‑wing. Inside, a gallery of Star Wars 3.75" figures greeted us, with display cases thoughtfully placed throughout the store. It's a fun theme, and the shop fully embraces its geeky niche. A quick glance around the room revealed a game-focused layout. I was surprised because when I hear "cafe," I usually picture coffee, pastries, and light lunch options. If you just want a snack, Galaxy Game Cafe has you covered although there's no blue milk offered. My desire for more food variety was quickly forgotten once I looked at their game selection. I've been to game cafes where pieces are missing, boxes are dirty, or things are disorganized; the kind of place where you end up focusing more on your food than the game. Here, it was the opposite. I enjoyed my snacks and the games. In my small sample size (Dice Forge and Kronologic), everything felt like new. Out of curiosity, I checked Heat for expansions, but they seem to stick to base games, and again, everything looked liked like new. After we finished playing, I placed our games on the return shelf and realized they care enough to check. I appreciated the care they put into maintaining a good gaming experience- isn't that good enough? If you are in the area, I highly recommend them! They also list their board game collection on BGG: https://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/GalaxyGameCafe

I appreciated the diversity of genres from heavy to light and social games as well as strategy games (I don't like when other places have only light or party games!). We stayed the entire time for Twilight Imperium and were treated well. They didn't rush us out at close as other places do. They allow outside food where others don't. Price is actually reasonable considering their library and the people there are plentiful and diverse too. I haven't tried going to open gaming events where you mingle but can consider that in the future. They host their own monthly Twilight Imperium which I might try out in the future when I am free on the weekend!
