Excellent prices on Veuve Clicquot champagne and every type of wine. One thing, Saturday is not the best time to peruse the store, it's hectic, and you need to wait to find parking. I love Costco. They have the best deals and sometimes when you get a sale after the already great deal you're getting an amazing deal. For example, we got 12 Semenko ice cream made in Korea for only $11.19 on sale. This is a great deal because if you go to any Korean market, you will not find this deal. This Costco is quite busy. However, it's far better than the Costco in Brooklyn, NY. There is much more parking. Don't forget that Edison is still a busy urban environment. Gas lines are still chaotic. However, the inventory and cleanliness of this Costco is pretty up to par. It's nothing to write home about, and the service isn't exceptional by any standard. What demotes this Costco is the busy-ness and unfortunately the other customers. While wandering the aisles on a busy weekend, you'll be hit with pockets of body odor. read more

Before I begin I would like to say the positives of this place they have a great alcohol selection and the employees are very nice and the prices are like any other Costco in the area. My issue is with the store design my fellow customers and the parking lot. But this is truly one of the worst Costco's I've ever been to. It's my Costco of last resort I don't know even where to begin The parking lot was designed by people who had to be drunk or just started out in parking lot design. It's always crowded the people who come to this Costco are Kamikaze In the parking lot whether it's driving a BMW or a hooptie. You better have your head on a swivel because they'll either almost hit your car or they will hit you. Now let's get into the store itself The layout is again I'm convinced it was either somebody's first time designing a Costco store layout or they're just very sadistic. Because nothing is where it should be in an organized space like every other Costco I've been to. For example bottled water It's nowhere near any other liquid. The people who shop here are also as chaotic as the store and parking lot itself. Nobody walks in a proper direction It's literally your dodging all the customers who for some reason don't understand to walk in a straight line anywhere in the store. The food court area I feel like the quality is worse than other Costco's and it's also got a smaller seating area which is terrible considering the amount of people that shop here. So in closing The whole design of this Costco is a black eye on the brand. Costco corporate would be doing itself a favor if it closed the store down demolished it and rebuilt it in the same layout as their North Plainfield store has with the same level of selection that the Edison store has currently. read more

One of my favorite Costco's. Simply because they sell liquor. They have only a few selections of tequila, rum, and gin. It's like one or two big brands then Kirkland brand. I do like the Kirkland brand tequila blanco. Such a big bottle for a great price. Also enjoy their Kirkland brand Irish cream liquor, deff replica of baileys. Have a variety of Asian food which is nice. Love trying new things. I feel like every time I go there are new items. They have recently added the membership scanning machines at the entrance. So get your card or mobile app ready. Layout of the store is pretty standard. The only thing I don't like about this store is that they don't out the boxes near the entrance like Bridgewater Costco. So by the time I remember I need a box, it's impossible to go back past the registers and food stand. This Costco is always busy but the lines go fast especially self check out. I love all of the Costcos I have been to. My husband and I recently stopped by this Costco on our way to an event. It was a quick trip but I found some good deals. The tri color 6 pack of bell peppers was $4.99. We pay almost double in Brooklyn. I ended up buying 2 pks. They were also selling liquor in this location. I saw one of my favorite red wines on sale for $9.89 each and bought 5 bottles. Next time I'm in Edison, I will be stopping by this costco location and stocking up on my wine and liquor and look for more deals. read more

I'm a longtime Costco member, but Edison's produce section has really slipped. Raspberries were already mushy despite their 1-2 day shelf life. The strawberries were limp and moldy even though fresh berries usually stay good for about five days. Some of my lettuce went slimy in hours head lettuce should last over a week. Apples were mealy with brown spots, though they typically keep in the fridge for weeks. At Costco prices trashing an entire bag of produce just isn't acceptable. read more

Chaos is the word that comes to mind, Granted it was a Saturday afternoon so maybe that was expected. But the store was very crowded the walkways were lined with shopping carts in both directions so much that you couldn't even cross over and it reminded me of a busy city in the streets of Chinatown or maybe one of those villages in India. There was a dedicated store employee loudly directing traffic to the registers every register was open self check out had all lanes operating yet the lines pushed back about 10 isles almost to the back of the store where the produce is. Our favorite costco outlet, its always organized and the staff is so warm and helpful. Plenty of parking spots are available. Covid protocols are followed by staff and they ensure members wear face mask, sanitize, etc. Weekends is crowded and busy! Great selection of seasonal goodies like Christmas decor, chocolates, small gift items, and even a live fir wreath. Weekends=overcrowded + looooong lines. Best time to shop here is weeknights, after work. Better yet, during the day. If only everyone could skip work to do some daytime shopping. If you brave to shop on weekends, expect massive lines and overcrowding, as everyone stocks up for weeks ahead. In terms of the products that they carry (especially the alcohol), this is an amazing location. Staff are pleasant. Now here is why I took out stars. It gets overcrowded. If you care about your mental health and if you are on anger management, please avoid coming here on weekends and late afternoon when people are leaving for work. Weekends are like a zoo. Parking lot is chaos. Inside is chaos. They should limit how many people a cardholder can bring inside. I see huge groups of people like they have the entire village with them. They stop in the middle of the aisles with zero f*cks given. And oh boy, do I even dare talk about the food court?!? Every time I pass by the food court, there are people "hanging out" there like they're in a park watching people walk by. Sounds like loitering to be honest. *sigh* Yes I would be coming back because Costco is amazeballs. Take advantage of their gas station too! They're quick and usually has the lowest price. read more

This is a full service Costco offering tires/automotive, gas and liquor. Maybe that's why this Costco is always crowded, and that aspect can admittedly be annoying. That being said the staff really do an excellent job of keeping the store organized and keeping the lines moving. Prices here are fantastic, the store is clean. Just like any other Costco except they have liquor license so you can get full variety of wine, beer and liquor selection. They also are one of our two Costco's in NJ that have a liquor license and sell their kirkland brand of alcohol. It is great quality and low prices compared to known brands. Never a bad thing to say about Costco. Excellent staff in any location I visit, and takes excellent measures for covid-19 safety and following CDC guidelines. read more

This review is for my recent visit to the Tire Center. I had pre-ordered a set of tires online and they provided an expected delivery date between 3-5 business days which wasn't too bad. Once the tires did arrive, I was able to make an appointment. I checked online to see if they had any appointments but they only showed openings for the following weekend and honestly I didn't want to wait that long. So i had called the Tire Center and spoke with Ryan and inquired about any walk-in appointments for Sunday. He said that there were no openings but did say I could come by the following day and they can see if they had a bay available and said to mention his name upon arrival. I had arrived at the Tire Center and Jason was there to check me in at the counter. He gave me an estimated time of 2-2.5 hour wait--it was fine with me as i was not going to be waiting. I had received a call at about less than 2 hours later that my car was ready. Amazing...they had finished before the expected time! I had picked up my car and my brand new tires looked great and drove wonderfully! Thank you to the amazing team at Costco Tire Center of Edison for your quick and prompt service. And thank you to Ryan and Jason for being so accommodating and taking my vehicle in for a walk-in appointment! read more

Today Anu exhibited extreme discriminatory behavior against non-Indians. Anu, who is Indian, was handing out samples of Madras lentils. I was second in line. In front of me was a young, Indian girl. Anu handed the Indian girl the sample. It was my turn next and instead of handing me the sample, she placed it on the tray in front of an Indian family who arrived after me. Anu then told me that it was policy not to hand the samples personally. I literally just witnessed Anu personally hand the sample to the Indian girl in front of me. At no time did she refuse the Indian girl and tell her it was not policy. If there is a rule, it should be applied equally, no matter what race. The fact that Anu handed the Indian girl a sample, then skipped me, only to give the remaining samples to the Indian family that came after me, only demonstrates her discriminatory behavior. Anu's intended goal was only to give samples to her fellow Indians. In accomplishing this, she haphazardly bent the rule for the Indian girl, then applied the rule to skip the non-Indian. Costco should br more vigilant in how their agents represent Costco. As a result, I purchased the remainder of my groceries from Sam's Club, who does not discriminate against non-Indians. Anu's behavior reflects poorly on Costco. read more

That's fine ,when I went to check out I showed my membership card ,and then proceed to hand her the Costco credit card that's in my sons name (He is the primary member) The clerk refused and said I can not use the card WTF I have earlier used Visa cards that are not in my name....This does not make sense read more

Awful store and the employees are awful too. Produce seems to go bad quickly and forget about getting gas here... you can spend almost a half hour on line for gas. There is a Sam's club down the street and I go to them instead... will think about cancelling the membership due to the poor service here. What can you say it's Costco, depending on the time do you go in the day parking can be ridiculous but all in all they stock a Lotta good stuff that we always end up leaving with a full cart. The one and biggest thing I'm happy about is now you need to be a Costco member in order to buy gas and it has made the lines cut down to a third of what it used to be. The reason for this complaint is that my wife piked a jacket on a rack listed at $19.99 feom $ 24.99 when She got to the register the charge $ 34.99 she calls one of the mánagers and went to see the right price, when they got there the whole rack was full of this jackets under the price $19.99 she went to customer service and they make her feel like she was trying to rob the place, they did not honored the false advertisement that they had. read more

You will be overwhelmed if you come to this Costco. You will be overwhelmed if you go to any Costco, really. But if you're a member, you know it's worth it. I recommend coming on Saturday or Sunday mornings to get the most out the samples (don't pretend you're not there for it!). This Costco is located right by a Walmart and route 27 so brace yourself for the traffic and lack of parking. Otherwise, it's a great place to stop in for lunch, get your groceries, or maybe a couch. Really, whatever you want or need, Costco is at your service. I like the optometry department that they have and they have a decent selection of glasses. Because of the region that it's in, you will find a lot of South Asian items such at ghee and curries. The protein and meat selection is decent and affordable. I believe the lamb is halal but ask and verify before purchasing. Overall, I like this location and come to it a lot. read more

Costco is Costco. Either You love them or hate them. I love this Costco location because it has a liquor section. Fellow helper be cautious...... The liquor stores located outside a Costco is usually not theirs and the alcohol is not as cheap. For the real deal it must be located inside the store. Additionally do not be afraid to try a Costco wine or one of their liquors. You never know who they are buying their grapes from and it could vary from year to year. If you like it who cares what the bottle says. True Costco experience.... An absolute mad house seven days a week, long lines, bulk items, free samples, plenty of crap you will never use and wind up throwing away PLUS booze to get you through the whole experience. I can't believe with the many trips I've visited at this location that I still haven't left a review. If you want to save money and purchase things by the bulk, come to Costco. There's food, produce, hot and cold food ready to heat and serve, catering food and cake orders for very reasonable price, eggs and milk that normally lasts in the fridge much longer that your local supermarket. I notice their milk expiration date is usually 3 weeks after the purchase date, which is awesome for me since I can't finish the gallon in one week by myself. Love love their food samples!!! Other bulk food like TV dinners, chicken, pizzas, cheese, etc all in their frozen area. Water bottles and paper towels and toilet tissues is a must purchase at Costco. I save so much $$ on its unit price. They also sell clothing, shoes and housewares items, home furniture and appliances, car goods and more. It's no wonder why Costco is forever busy and this location is no exception. I would say the parking lot is decent size and I never have problems with finding a place to park. Checkout lines are long but don't get discourage because they move fairly quick and most if their cash registers are open especially on the weekend with the anticipation of the crowd. read more

Since I don't actually drink I wasn't sure what exactly to get them but Louis an employee there who happened to be in the area went above and beyond to assist me in selecting what to get them. He made it easy and definitely appreciated his help. He agreed to help me upon requested without hesitating as he was cleaning that area during closing. read more

This location has a great variety of the usual Costco offerings and some things to cater to the large Asian-American population in Edison. Something I particularly like is their take on Korean bulgogi, and in my opinion, it's better than what you'll find at Hmart. The cut of meat is better and the flavors are more pronounced. Can't beat this place for regular grocery shopping and getting a good cheap meal at the food court, as well. In my opinion, the $60 membership is super worth it. Tip tho; try coming here on off-hours (not Sunday or Saturday) and the lines will move a lot quicker. read more

Three stars for this Costco for 2 reasons. #1 The fact that they carry Liquor, beer and wine is great, nice selection of name brands and their Kirkland brand of liquor. I actually bought a 1.75 liter of Vodka which is supposed to compare to Grey Goose. I will let my Vodka drinking friends be the judge. #2 Passport photos, this is one of the last Costco's to offer this service and at $4.99 for 10 minute service it cannot be beat. The rest is a disaster. Parking is miserable because of the sheer volume of shoppers who cannot drive. The traffic in the store is overwhelming between rude shoppers seeking to run every other shopper over. God forbid you are waiting to get a sample of Costco's delectable morsel you are waiting on a line with folks who act like they have never eaten before.....seriously. While the cashiers do their best to move fast, the lines are out of hand. I will stick the Marlboro location and avoid Edison at all costs. read more
