They stock items you don't find anywhere else, and at a really good price. Even typical items, like A1 Steaksauce for example, is usually sold at a better price than competitors, and when they go on sale that's another few bucks off. Now, down to the three stars. ALWAYS difficult to find parking. ALWAYS moving items around, so you can't run in for a quick trip. (They do it on purpose so that you impulse buy). NEVER anyone with a red vest in sight so you can ask, "Where the heck is my item this week." NEVER less than 20 people in line. NEVER more than 3 lines open. NEVER less than that same 20 people trying to get out the door, 2 by 2 having their reciepts checked ( I mean I get it, but... sigh). WHENEVER your family's staples become dependent on a certain item, they discontinue it. AND NOW, they have a person chatting you as you approach checkout, to determine (dictate) which line you "should" go to. AND NOW-ALL THIS only costs you 65-130 a year. read more

Was doing a day trip thru Idaho Falls. Popped in to get a slice of pizza and hot dogs. For a sunday , I must say it was a very pleasant shopping experience. It wasn't a chaotic crowd , was able to browse and not feel rushed. There was also a nice selection of wine and beverages . Would return again if in the area . read more

I want to commend Costco's Pharmacy. I had a hospital stay and medical issues which required multiple additions, subtractions, and modifications to my meds over 3 months. It was complicated enough that I created a list of each and changed it often, I wouldn't expect anyone to follow all the changes perfectly unless they paid close attention, but the Costco Pharmacy stayed ahead of it all, including when items could or could not be issued so as to be covered by insurance. The only thing I had to do was when they sent that a refill was available, I had to determine if this was on the current list, or it had been subsumed so I shouldn't refill it. I like Costco. And since my review is years old it's time to review again. The customer service people and those who work on the floor are very courteous and kind. Anytime I ask for help they usually help me with what I need be it finding something or returning something. Costco is my primary grocery store. I have to work hard to consume the larger quantities, but it's doable. And most things freeze well. Another aspect of Costco is their online shopping. I've ordered quite a few pieces of furniture this year to populate my new home. Great value, no delivery charge, and they carry items downstairs for me. The store in Idaho Falls is clean, bright, and cheerful. I will continue to shop here as I like their products, their cheerful help, and their samples. read more

Absolutely worst experience when signing up for a membership today. Ces was rude and would not budge when I said I didnt need an executive membership or costco cc card. I went in today knowing I only wanted a gold star membership. In today's economy being rude and forcing an expensive membership on someone who only had a budget for a gold star membership is absurd. My partner already has an executive membership, which he shares with his mother, when I let Ces know thats one of the reasons I didn't need an additional executive membership in my household she snapped at me and said "wel why don't you just get added to his account?" Ms. Ma'am it is none of your business why im not getting added to his account and why I want my own. This expensive reuined my mood and overall experience at Costco today. read more

Great location. Parking is easy and there are plenty of spaces available. There is rarely a line for gas. Good gas prices. The pumps are well maintained. Fast service at automotive . We got new tires and a battery no issues and very timely. Great food selection. Friendly staff and short lines. Weekdays definitely are less crowded. Win win. read more

I haven't been a Costco member for many years. Recently I decided to join again. But my experience has not been great. It is a nice store, but I have found the employees I have dealt with to be arrogant, and unfriendly. For folks who are allegedly paid better that average, they sure don't seem to appreciate their jobs, or enjoy customer service. I am sure this doesn't include most of the employees. What can I say it's Costco! We have found some pretty great healthy options here! And a few of those being from France. I will say it seems smaller then other Costco's I've been to. (California, Vegas, Virginia, for comparison). Might just be my imagination though. You know the famous food samples? I don't personally care, but for those of you that might at least when we go there aren't many or any. But we do usually go an hour or three before closing, so keep that in mind if your into the samples. The food court is delicious as always, but also seems to have less options then others I've been too. All around though the staff is chipper and it's a good experience and they usually have something new and interesting! Oh and the Gas station is usually quick as well and a very competitive price! read more

Forgot my membership card at home, had a picture of it on my phone, scanned in with the lady at the door. verified my picture on her screen, but refused to let me in because I didn't have my physical card. Approximately 26.4 times better than Sam's Club. We have decided not to renew our Sams Club membership. While most places are still struggling to hire employees that refuse to work and refuse to be knowledgeable and refuse to provide great service because they are WOKE and feel entitled to have a job, Costco folks are friendly, polite, professional and are always busy working (I appreciate that ). read more

One star because once again Costco is chinsing out on quality. I buy the frozen organic three-berry mix for pie. I noticed that my pies were getting runny. To find out what is going on, I let the full bag of berries thaw out only to discover that close to 2/3 of the content and weight is injected water, not berries. I do not like paying nearly 13 dollars for frozen water. Costco, stop being so cheap. I pay an executive membership to get value. Actually, I am expecting it. You might think people do not notice things like this. They do, but rarely say anything about it. Buyer beware I am strongly reconsidering my membership. read more

Went today to pick up some items ( which by the way they were out of several things so what was the point) as you know when u go in they check ur card and when ur at the register u insert said card and are checked again at the door for the receipt. Annoying but doable. Now they are checking your card before u even get to the register! 4 times people? Reeks of border patrol except you can get into the U S easier than Costco! With my products not being there and getting checked another time (4) smfh. I will not be renewing and I will be shopping at Sam's from now on! Totally stupid!! read more

Went into Costco in Idaho Falls with my partner today. Had been gifted a membership from my family over the holidays and we were excited to wander around and see what's up. Call me uncultured, but I've never seen or been into one of these. My partner's worked at Sam's Club before, so he had an idea, but our experience was pretty uncomfortable due to the membership staff. Right off the bat we approached the membership counter with 4 employees all huddled up, and when we said we wanted to activate our membership for the first time, every single one of them turned away from us and looked at each other for a minute like none of them wanted to help before the guy on the end stepped away and said that he would handle it. He starts going over the spiel, which I was expecting, but for almost 10 minutes he's only pushing the credit card and the executive membership and we haven't even been able to take a look around and see what they have inside. My partner (politely but firmly) said that for now we'd really only like to stick with the Gold that was bought for us since we're brand new and we'd be interested in learning about their other offers later. Our membership rep got upset saying that we need to let him finish his job and then continued going over the same information. He then went over a whole new spiel about how people who make our decision to stick with Gold at first end up losing money over time. I get it, you need to pitch what you're given because it's your job, but he was super passive aggressive the rest of our conversation and basically ignored my partner. Didn't even ask him if he was going to be the primary, was jerking him around trying to get the pictures taken. We finally got the cards and got out of there, but the warehouse didn't really live up to my expectations either. Yeah it was my first time in there but nothing was labelled and using the app didn't help me find anything because it wasn't labelled in there either so it's not super useful to me other than as a digital membership card. People have been talking Costco up to me for years but is this the Costco they're talking about? Cause I'm not impressed. read more

I have been a member for many years and have been in Costco's throughout the US and Canada and have never seen such poor customer service. While I recognize that the store is newly opened and the staff is new, they had no clue how to process a return at the customer service desk and I ended up waiting over 20 minutes for them to get a basic return figured out. Also, Idaho is a "HOT" spot in the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Costco's policy is that masks are required in all stores. I have been in five other Costco's in Utah and Nevada recently and have seen this policy enforced. Not in the Idaho Falls store. Maskless customers everywhere and then to top it off they are allowing customers to eat items from the food court on tables in the store. Lucky me - I got to walk right by them all on my way out of the store! Get it together Costco! read more

I have been a Costco member for a long time, and I have to say this was one of the best experiences my husband and I have had at one. It was very clean, the employees were all very nice and honestly the best part was it wasn't super packed like they tend to be normally. My husband and I picked up a couple of pizzas after our trip through Yellowstone to eat at our hotel and they were very clean. The only downside were the customers who were not wearing their masks properly while we waited for our pizzas to be made. (One guy had a whole big box of masks and was wearing his as a chin guard.) as for the guy who wanted to window shop, all you have to do is say you are going to the pharmacy for a prescription and take a peek around, you will get the idea. You actually don't need a membership to use it, at least in California that is the case. Would come again if I lived in Idaho Falls. read more

I'm not sure COSTCO likes their customers or respects their time. I found no signs directing me to an aisle where an item might be located. Not even a director for a department! I gave up after walking up and down the rows and just left. Sam's has signs and I can go right to what I need and be done if I want. Further, they do the same thing at the gas pumps... no indication as to the price, you just take a chance, get in line and hope the gas price is what you expect. Who else does that!? I joined COSTCO as a test to see if I wanted to stay with them and not Sam's... test is over. Sam's wins! read more

We went to Costco the other day with our son who is disabled. He wanted a drink of water and went looking for a fountain. When we got ready to check out we couldn't find him. Our oldest daughter was with us and so we spread out to look for him. She found him in the optical department. His glasses kept fogging up because of his mask. He told an employee in the optical department that he was looking for some new glasses. A few minutes later, he told the man that he wasn't feeling very good. The man got him a wheelchair to sit in and a bottle of water. I am very grateful for the care shown to our son. read more

This is a horrible company I had a family member injured on their property and they flat out said in a voicemail that they do not pay medical it was negligence on their side and all they did is fight to not do the right thing they are self insured and only care about their own bottom line and dismissing any claims they can't even take care of medical for somebody injured on their property like the rest of us I have insurance to cover people injured or have damages on my property! they really don't care that much about people only about their dollar!!!! I would do no stars if I could. Terrible, rude, unfriendly! I will never go back. I was harassed at the door by the woman for not having a mask. Then she said she would call the manager on me, even though I said I could not wear one. Then the manager located me after I had been in the store for 5 minutes. Threatened to call the police on me with my 3-year-old in the cart. I was obviously not a threat to anyone and was keepign my 6ft distance everywhere. He very rudely escorted me out, even though I saw numerous people not wearing masks, or wearing them around their necks. I was targeted. Sams is friendlier, cleaner, and allows customers the freedom to decline a mask at the door. Costco is run by communist pieces of garbage. Don't support them. read more

Great products, poor customer service. Bought a power recliner that was on display and when we got it home we found out it was missing the power cord. Made 4 phones calls and went back to the store twice trying to get help with getting a new cord. Finally went looking on the web myself. After chasing leads and a couple of phone calls we found the distribution center and their sending us one. Worst customer service we've ever had. read more
