We went into Broulim's on a whim while we were getting ready to drive to Utah. Store was extremely clean, and stocked with a lot of things you can only find at a store supplied by Associated Foods. They have a Dairy Queen / Orange Julius up front, and the Dilly Bars were half the price of a normal DQ. A lot of full-service store items too, and it was an overall pleasant experience. Sure, you may pay a bit more than Walmart or Winco, the store makes up for it fairly quickly. read more

Ok, third times the charm right? I said I would never go back but husband wanted some fried chicken. We were nearby he was eating it so what the heck. This was today at around 12:30. He got 2 pieces of fried chicken from the deli. We went right home (5 min drive) he sat down and ate it. Right away he could tell the chicken was not fresh and old grease. But being a man ate it anyway. So about an hour later let's just say the bathroom was his friend for a bit (side note) my cat was given a small piece of the meat part(not the crust) and she threw up! I would give Broulim's in Ammon 5 stars except for one thing. I love their brisket and BBQ sauce. They use to trim large chunks of fat off before weighing it. But not anymore. I don't mind if it's 10-20% fat but when it's 40 to 50% fat that needs to be trimmed off. It's $14.99/LB with the fat. That makes the effective cost for the meat about $24/LB. I hope they change their policy to trim large chunks of fat before weighing it. read more

The two stars are for the cleanliness of the store and quality/variety of the brands they carry. They begin to lose points for their high prices. They are the highest priced grocery store in town. I suppose you get what you pay for, but many of their items can be found for much less at other stores in the area. They do carry a handful of items that can't be found elsewhere, so special trips to Broulim's are warranted from time to time. One HUGE disappointment is their "rewards" program. Everyone's got one these days. Some are better than others, providing gas discounts and accumulating greater value with the more money a customer spends. Unfortunately, Broulim's so-called rewards program requires customers to spend exorbitant amounts of money in a limited amount of time. If you don't spend enough and the clock runs out, your points all vanish and you have to start the process all over again. They do let you keep your deli points, but how often does a person run to the grocery store just to hit up the deli? On a positive note, it is comforting to walk around a store that has such a high standard of cleanliness. When you are purchasing food, the last thing you want to worry about is freshness, contamination, and nastiness. A super-clean store sets the mind at ease. Other positive elements that deserve honorable mentions: hand-crafted soaps, homemade tortillas, sushi & poke bowls, a huge cheese selection and a DQ that serves Orange Julius (I thought they went extinct years ago). read more

I just had a very NEGATIVE experience in the Deli department. I decided to try some of their smoked brisket for lunch and purchased 1/2 lb. But when I sat down to eat it I noticed that there was a wad of fat served that was at least 3 oz of my purchase. Since that was not what I paid for, I spoke to the manager of the department who told me she was sorry but she could not replace it, though I had the choice of getting my money back. As a previous business, her logic was lost on me. So instead of repacing the fatty piece, you would rather give me my funds back, lose the sale, not to mention having to throw away the 1/2 lb of meat I wont be eating and Broulims cant resell. Instead you now have an annoyed customer, who probably wont be back and one who will make sure she shares how Broulims handled an issue that could have had a better result. I think your manager in that department needs some more training in conflict resolution. I would look into it. read more

We went to the Broulim's Sandwhich Shop after a very stressful day of wedding planning and running around doing errands. Needless to say, it was an absolutely great experience Rainy was very nice and made our sandwiches with a lot of love. All the employees were extremely friendly and the sandwiches were great! This was my first time in this store, as well as my family's first time. We were not sure where many of the items were and, without even us asking, each employee was kind and asked if we needed help finding anything and were always kind and efficient in helping us locate some odds and ends we could not find on our own. This store has a wide selection of foods and we could find nearly everything we came in for, even the specialty items we could not find at most other supermarkets. My favorite selection of the store had to be the deli where we were able to choose cheeses and salami from the largest selection of any store I've been to before. We were even offered a free sample of a cheese the deli was packaging and were offered our own custom-cut size to purchase. Very nice store, we will be returning again soon. read more

I love this store as a grocery store and food to go! They have a huge area upstairs with a fridge and sink where we had a birthday party for my two year grandson. I bought the cake and supplies there and there was zero charge for the room. I don't think they mind if you bring a outside cake. Out of courtesy I bought the ice cream and plates,etc there. Then their food to go is great such as sushi, ribs or fried chicken. Their fried chicken is truly awesome and I am from the south! The of salad item like broccoli salad, cole slaw etc.. They have a truly great Dairy Queen with fantastic pricing deals on sundaes to banana splits. read more

They never really have a sale in their wine dept. like the other chains do from time to time like 20% or 25% off when you buy 6 or 12 bottles of wine at a time either mixed or of one style or brand. I just speed thru their liquor dept. I don't even know why they have one since it's against their religion to take part in enjoying such a drink. They are just interested in making the greatest profit off the non-believers I assume. Another reason not to shop there any longer. read more

Broulims is the store of stores. Food, food, food, food, food!!! If you can't find something to eat here, then you're just going to have to go hungry. We came here to see what kind of grub we could grab for lunch. The choices were endless. I swear the food bar area was half the store. They had an Asian hot bar, sushi bar, sandwich shop...bar, they had a small hot wings...bar, pickled vegetables bar, and an olive bar aaaand a salad bar, with a soup...bar. Besides all those choices, they had a traditional deli where you find your picnic-type salads, hot chicken and corn dogs. Oh, aaand, the have a Cupbop with a Kataco (Korean tacos) with a side of Dairy Queen. Yes. All of this is inside. To top off the lisg of things ive never seen in a store, they had a little area where they made fresh tortillas. We tried a sample of the southwest tortilla. It was excellent! I could eat a whole package just plain and dry. Can't forget the bakery. Donuts, upon packaged cookies, upon bread, upon parmesan bread, upon artisan bread. It's a carb lovers dream! I've never seen so many options in my life. Back to lunch. I picked up a rotisserie chicken. My husband had a sandwich made at the sandwich counter and daughter had a salad from the salad...bar (lots of bars). Jason looooved his Italian sandwich. He said, "Perfezionare!" My daughter put away a ton of salad. Every bite! I liked the rotisserie chicken. I'm picky about my food being hot and feeling safe to eat it. It didn't feel hot enough even deep in the meat. I was a little worried about eating it but I didn't get sick sooooo that's pretty cool. I'd sure hate to get food poisoning on a vacation, or anytime really. We didn't interact with many employees, but they seemed really nice. They had a big eating area upstairs and a little eating area near the food bars. It was very clean. For the rest of the store, it didn't seem very big, but we didn't venture into groceryland. Just foodland. It's a Western Family brand store, which I'm finding to be quite pricey nowdays. I wasn't paying too much attention to the prices at this particular location, but Western Family and their high prices for cheapy food is one reason I don't shop at Dick's Market and other Associated Foods stores my hometown. That being said, it has no affect on my rating. If you're ever in this area, stop by for some food, or just to look around. It's a fun store. read more

Broulim's is great! Their stores are clean and updates with awesome team members. The Ammon store is fantastic! You can't beat their selection at lunchtime. Sushi, Korean tacos, Mexican food, Chinese food, sandwich bar, deli, soup, salad, Dairy Queen and they will fresh grill you a steak, fish, or chicken. Great place to go! My honeymoon with Broulim's is over. When they opened in December, I was impressed with their fresh baguettes. In December, I purchased a baguette several times a week. After the new year, however, quality took a nose dive. Each baguette was stale and hard. I gave Broulim's another try today, but I was sorely disappointed. The baguette was downright nasty. It only took one visit to get me to switch grocery stores. Very nice store. And when they say fresh they mean it. The bakery puts out this sandwich bread that is an absolute knock out. Fresh tortillas, sushi, deli counter. It's all good. Once you get used to the layout, shopping is a breeze. Prices are competitive with the other guys in town and in some cases better. And the staff! Holy crap the staff is so nice and wanting to help you any possible way. I'm not used to that, but I like it. This store also has a home delivery service. That's right, HOME delivery. You shop for it online, and they deliver it a few hours later. Anything in the store. They even come in and set your groceries on your counter for you. There is no better way to improve one's weekend than not having to worry about grocery shopping. read more

Give it a four just based on staff. Everybody seems real friendly and its nice to support local vice Wally World or albertsons. The downside it the arrangement of the store. Can't get used to it but might be me. Also meat until this point average. These guys are trying hard plus they have a lot of free offerings from sushi to ice cream. read more
