This Costco is GHETTO, unorganized, dirty and so is the rude stuck-up employees they hire- particularly the middle-aged white women Cashiers that hates doing their job for whatever reason. I have been coming here for years and this place is just getting worse every year. It takes at least 20 minutes to find a parking and go figure there is over 155,000 AV residents and this is the ONLY Costco in town. I had to learn to go to Costco in Santa Clarita because its close to my job and employees are helpful, respectful and courteous. Shop smart if you absolutely have to come to this place! Either come early or shop close to closing hours or else you have deal with rude drivers honking at you, parking headaches, dirty bathrooms, empty shelves, opened and destroyed goods and best of all the rude, insensitive, and racist employees they hire. read more

Called Costco on the dot at 10am (when they open) to order pizza. It kept on ringing... I then called the admins of Costco, and asked why the phone was continuously ringing as maybe there's something wrong with the line... ?? the admin said it's normal , as the line will continually ring until it frees up. Meaning, if a customer is currently on the line ... it will keep on ringing. I feel like there should definitely be a warning about this to customers when they call. It's an odd process, and I doubt customers would know what's going on. The admin staff wasn't courteous, and seemed annoyed. But then the kicker was when I finally got through, they picked up and hung up!! I tried calling immediately back, and again..the hundreds of rings... I had to order pizza at another restaurant. I did not go to Costco as I usually do but went to Sams yesterday after reading how Costco is not upholding time for the seniors to shop. I am an elder with copd. I went to Sams and asked them if they make sure people are elders and they said they certainly do so why Costco is saying it is illegal is just passing the buck. This store is the best Costco out of the many I've shopped at through the years. They are a well oiled machine and even during peek shopping times, they will get you out quickly. During this pandemic I see some poor reviews and that's a shame as I believe they are doing the best they can amid the shoppers' panic in getting their tp, hand sanitizer, bleach, etc. I've yet to be able to buy those essential items but it's due to these hoarders not Costco. I've been getting gas here regularly but just recently tried the car wash. It is fantastic! Okay first of all, only Costco members can get gas here and they don't accept cash, only debit or American Express. Although annoyed at first, I did end up getting the Costco Amex card and hope the cash back from gas purchases actually does something eventually. There are at least 4 different gas pumps that are long enough for you to get on either side. You can also only face in one direction and there are often lines. Still worth it though because it is cheaper than all the other places. As for the car wash, there were at least 3 cars ahead of me in the car wash line and I barely had to wait before it was my turn. You drive up to the machine, swipe your card to pay and drive up to the attendant who marks the receipt and he will tell you how to turn your wheel so that your tires get on the machine. You put your car in neutral, make sure windows are all up and let the machine wash, rinse, and dry your car. All for $7.99. Not too shabby. read more

So, I love Costco. They have great products and great prices. However, we ordered a cake from them and I'm a little unhappy how it turned out. It was the "over the hill" design and whoever made it gave it a brown background with brown writing for the "happy birthday". Anyone with common sense decorating a cake would write the words with white writing, right? It was for my dads 60th Birthday- so it wasn't just any birthday. That being said, make sure you specify what color you want your writing because the cake decorator might make your background and happy birthday writing match and then you can't even tell what it says. My fiancé and I walked in and purchased just under 500 dollars of merchandise from this establishment. When we approached the exit door a female employee named Madelen (sp) requested to see my receipt by saying, "Let me see dude." I replied "dude?" In utter dismay at the lack of respect and common courtesy. She confirmed her greeting by saying "yeah" and marked my receipt. She handed the receipt back and said "here dude." I said thanks dude and walked away shaking my head is disbelief at the extreme lack of anything representing customer service. Miss Madelen (sp) needs a good 40 plus hours of strict training in courtesy, customer service and basic kindness. My only regret is not notifying a manager immediately. I will follow up with a phone call tomorrow. That will be my last trip to Costco for quite some time. Perhaps Sam's Club would be more appreciative of my patronage. read more

I always LOVE going to Costco! My in-laws paid for our membership since my hubby is employed by their family owned business. I Highly recommend y'all try out Costco's homemade blueberry, and the chocolate muffins. Oh, and the Chicken Bakes. Although tbh, the muffins contributed my Corona 15 weigh gain- only because we went overboard and ate them like they were going outta style. Fluffy consistency and it usually has a bunch of fresh blueberries and chocolate chips in the chocolate muffins. I've gotten a lot of nice clothes there too that I wear often. Hubby and I have bought a bunch of stuff that we never knew how much we really needed. The car battery jumper set, Skandia knife set, bath sheets, I could go on and on about how much great purchases we've made at Costco!! It's something about people watching there, that has become a favorite new pastime for me. Usually the cheapest gas in town, so I try and head here when I need to fill up one of the cars. Decent quality of gas, especially for the price. My only knock is that it can get pretty crazy busy at peak gas filing times, but who really knows when that is? One day the lines will be backed up to the entrance, the next day at the same time there's only a few cars in line. At least the lines move at a decent rate so the wait usually isn't crazy bad. The car wash next door usually does a decent job to get the car washed. Definitely not like getting a hand wash, but does the job when you need something quick and easy. read more

I made an appointment for tire rotation at 5:45pm. I arrived earlier at 5pm because the appointment email said to arrive 15 minutes earlier than appointment time (was out from work earlier). The tire service rep asked me if I wanted to wait for my appointment time or do walk in for my service. I chose walk in thinking I can get serviced faster. estimated 2 hours! I decided I'll take my time eating dinner at the foodcourt and shop. I come back after 2 hours and my tire rotation for my car has not been started in service!!! The employee couldn't find my car in the lot despite the magnetic number sign mounted on my RAV4. They didn't call my cell phone. Mechanic told me they're swamped and I should have made an appointment. I DID MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. Apparently, they were skipping walk ins and doing appointments so the employee in the counter who processed my order HAS NO IDEA HOW TO DO HIS JOB. Why ask me to do walk in instead of my appointment time if it will make the service take nearly 3 hours?!! read more

I actually really like this Costco normally. We went to pick up a pair of prescription glasses. My daughter waited in line for 45 minutes and it didn't move that whole time. When I was finally done shopping I came over. I asked the younger lady at the counter if there was any way we could just get glasses that we had already paid for and come back another day to get them fitted. She rudely said you have to wait in line. I explained that my daughter had waited for 45 minutes and could we please get them. She rudely said you still have to wait in line. She wasn't nice. I mean how hard is it to say I'm really sorry and were doing the best we can and there is unfortunately no way to get glasses with waiting in line. read more

Costco is great and convenient, just be prepared to spend more than your expected! They offer everything one would need in your kitchen, for your kitchen, furniture for both inside and outside. They make delicious muffins and they have some of my favorite croissants I've had. I just went in planning to get two weeks worth of lettuce and walked away with a few more meals for the following week. They don't allow more than one transaction, which is silly to me, but you can always go back in line or to another checker. read more

As a disabled veteran I would expect I can have more then the 5 limit water purchase because I can't travel as much as other people but when I explain that to the manager he told me that 5 was the limit. Costco has a great return policy and really good pricing on some (not all) things. It's always busy, but weekends are the worst. The lines for gas are always crazy busy, and sometimes interferes with traffic coming in/out of the parking lot. Don't try to eat here (or order Pizza) on a Friday -- it'll be an hour wait. I only wish this location had sesame seed bagels, like the one in Santa Clarita does. read more

Must admit I was happily surprised at how fast Costco employees checked out their customers today. It was a Saturday around 3pm. All the customers were instructed to make one big line to the back of the store which whipped around to make a double line. It was scary to see at first. My husband jumped in line and I ran to get a couple more things. He was honestly at the check out in 10 minutes or less! I love Costco. But this location makes you hate Costco. Employees argue with the customers. There was an item that wasn't ours. I told the employees there. The cashier and employee loading the items in were arguing with me and my husband & we had our two kids with us. They were telling us that's what was on our cart. And it wasn't true. They didn't notice that the item was left behind from the customer in front and didn't charge them. They continue to argue and say that's what was in our basket and that's what they loaded up. I corrected him saying my husband unloaded the cart they didn't do it. And that wasn't there. Finally after going back and forth for a bit the cashier said no problem we can take it off. What in the world?! I'm from Los Angeles and I don't know if it's the area but everyone here is so rude and bitter worst than Los Angeles. Like go to therapy or something! She seemed to be antagonizing my wife and her accent I was listening and my wife was speaking clearly (I could hear her clearly and I am 56 years old) but the girl kept saying the Wrong thing Like 4 times. I never make reviews, and I've always had no problems with Costco, but today at around 6:30 I did. My family and I are at the self checkout line, and it stopped scanning our items. My dad pressed the assistance button, and the young lady RUDELY tells us to back away from the tray, thinking that solved the problem. However, it still didn't work and we were trying to figure it out. My girlfriend opened the cashier box, where she knew the manual scanner was and see if that would start scanning. The young lady literally took the scanner from her hand, slammed it back into the cashier, and said don't touch that without letting me know. First of all, If she would have made sure that it would continue to work when she first assisted us, we wouldn't have had to try to figure it out on our own. What made it even worse was that she turned to her coworker and said how annoying we were being. But yet, she goes to other customers being nice. Idk what the hell we did to piss her off in the beginning but she just made costco a bad experience. I already know they aren't going to do anything about it. I understand if you're having a bad day, and having to deal with people all day, but don't go behind me talking to your coworker about my family and I. My wife and I have been Costco members since 2008. I've always admired and respected their policies, especially having their locations closed during the holidays so that their employees can enjoy it with their families. Their prices and return policies have always been consumer friendly also. Admittedly, I haven't been inside the Lancaster location since the pandemic, and have opted to some of their competitors' curbside pick up and delivery options. On February 4th, my wife and I decided to visit their location and were completely shocked by how much their customer service has changed. Cashiers and baggers just carried on with their conversations while ringing up our items without so much as a simple "hello, thank you for shopping with us." Or "did you find everything ok!" "Do you need a box for your items." It's such a shame.... But I think I will start to ship more with their competitors where I at least feel welcome in spending my money. read more

Over the years Costco has become a place I avoid more and more. You spend money on a "membership," and have employees who are in return.... rude, disrespectful, inconvenienced, and love to do anything but work. In fact on any given day you can find plenty of employees talking instead of opening another register or helping guests on the floor. I've also commented on an employee on his phone and he stated to me "We are allowed to be on our phones." I must say there are a few exceptions. An employee named DOT DOT is amazing and always has a smile on her face. Costco needs to get a handle on their employees as a whole. Management to cart retrievers. Today I went thru the car wash at this location. I realized later in the day that my magnet was missing off of my car. This magnet is very special to me as it is a ribbon from surviving the mass shooting in Las Vegas. I called and randomly happened to get the supervisor of the car wash. He had me describe the magnet, took my name and number and assured me he would try to find it. About an hour later, I got a call from Elvis (won't forget his name ) saying that he found my magnet! I was so happy I could have cried. I went right over to pick it up. Elvis greeted me by name and shook my hand. I genuinely appreciate the effort from this team. It literally meant the world to me. Just like any other Costco! My only gripe is that the waits on certain days can be painstakingly long. I'm sure this is with all Costco's but I'd still like to point it out. If you can, try to come when they open, or an hour before they close, seems to be the least busiest of times. The hot food selection is great!! Pretty ample amount of indoor seating, while outdoor seating is also plentiful. You can't seem to order food from outside though, as I have seen at other Costco's. At this location the food court is located indoors only. They accept ATM/Debit cards instead of cash only! This Costco has a auto center, propane fill up Center, gas station, and car wash! Be warned it seems everyone in the AV comes here for gas (unbeatable price!!) so expect some wait or trouble getting in line. It's also conveniently located right off the freeway. read more

Costco has really bad customer service. There are big furnitures with great price but no delivery service. They leave consumers with the choice of going to the UHAUL to spend more money to get their furniture delivered. This is not good for business, how are you going to sell heavy furniture with no delivery service to help you deliver it to your destination. That is unacceptable. read more

Finally tried a Costco Car Wash and I have to say like Costco it provides a product that is a solid and cheap alternative. You probably won't often find yourself out in Lancaster but if you are visiting the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve then this is a great place to fill-up and wash the stank off your car as you head back home. By stank I mean the numerous bug splatter residue and dirt, dust, and grime from trekking through rural areas. For $7.99 you get a pretty standard clean and while it won't get everything, it is still a sight for sore eyes when you've been putting off that car wash for too long. It all takes around 10 minutes for the actual wash and you just pull up to the attendant who will let you know when to set your car into neutral and off on the conveyor belt of clean you go! One drawback is that one of the machines you use to swipe your card and membership was out of order which led to an even longer wait. The car wash line bottlenecks where two pay lines form one car wash lane so be prepared to wait. Gas that weekend was $3.19 reg which is cheaper than most places in LA. read more

I really like this location clean and short lines all the times I have been there... Yeah its not like this is a regular stopping point unless I am headed out the 14 to 395 on my way to Mammoth. None the less, when I do, I have to stop here for gaz n grub! On the way back I have been tempted to try out their car wash, but I just havent wanted to take down all the snowboarding gear. But it is very handy, if you have been running around the desert or traipsen through the snow in your pho-wheel-drive! The Costco itself is much larger than average location. I think that is kind of a truism whenever you are outside of the major metropolitan areas. The aisles were clean, well marked, and delineated. Pro Tip: Fuel, car wash, quick run through the store and some grub on the way out. Talk about a One Stop Shop! Like all Costco's they have all the party supplies in bulk that you may need or want for a weekend or week long getaway in the desert or the mountains. Hence this is a perfect stopping point even if you don't live in the area. Hell the bathrooms are even very clean! So overall I am definitely a fan of this Costco... I went to this Costco to ask questions about new kitchen appliances and spent about 30 minutes going over details and logistics. The installers for the dishwasher kind of held me hostage and tried to charge me $265 to replace a hose and to replace a angle stop under my sink before they would install my dishwasher. I declined to pay such an outrageous amount, so my dishwasher is still sitting in the middle of my living room. Both pieces cost about $20 if you buy them from a big box store, and the work involved in installing them is minimal. Costco hires outside contractors to do the appliance installation, but clearly does not require a fair cap price on other work required by the installer. The Costco contractor can rip off the customer if they choose to. This is cheating Costco because their customer's will not be happy, and it is cheating the customers. Maybe Costco should pay their contractors more money so the contractors won't have to rip off the customers. I am extremely unhappy with their installation services. Yes, I contacted their customer service but was told over and over about the loophole the installers have - if anything needs to be corrected or repaired before the appliance is installed, they are allowed to charge any amount they wish to.
