I agree with Nas, this Costco is unorganized, most employees are rude, always too busy to help members and are quick to complain about being tired when asked for assistance. The warehouse is dirty and the employees are rude and stuck-up, some are just lazy. I have a Dutch/German sounding accent and BRENDA made my accent an issue and claimed she could not understand me. She told me that she was hot because she had been collecting shopping carts in​ the parking lot. I guess the heat caused her to go deaf. Such hogwash. She flat out categorically refused to assist me. They hire- a particular pedigree of the middle-aged white women Cashiers that hate doing their jobs. I have been shopping here for 3 months and I am thinking of trying the competition. It takes at least 20 minutes to find a parking, then you go inside and have to deal with antagonistic, unhelpful employees. These days employees that love what they do for a living, and exhibit courteous behavior, are rare to come by. I agree with the tip - Shop smart if you absolutely have to come to this place! Either come early or shop close to closing hours or else you have to deal with rude drivers honking at you, parking headaches, dirty bathrooms, empty shelves, opened and destroyed goods and best of all the rude, insensitive, and xenophobic employees they hire. read more

I've been a member for 15 years, and like every usual upper lower class person on a budget I've used Costco for cheap gas, $1.50 meals, or meals at the sample station (don't judge me, you've done it) and 4,000 socks for $14.99. Today I went in to pay my membership and was switching from sunglasses to seeing glasses when trouble struck. I swear to you it was like some optical Joker struck. The screw popped out and my lens and it popped into my eye. I was left blind and cold (I was under that giant air conditioner unit) and afraid. I was crying uncontrollably in the fetal position. Out of nowhere Brandon swooped in like some optical Batman. He took me to an area that I could only assume it was the bat cave. He told me the person who moved my lenses into my spare set had put the lenses in the wrong side ( which explains a lot like not being able to see, headaches, and the occasional unexplained gas). He put a new screw in the one side and adjusted the frame. This is important because I spent an hour at the place I got the glasses having some Riddler adjust them because they wouldn't sit right. Brandon did it in 22 seconds without needn't them on my face. To you The Dark Knight of Costco I am in your debt. read more

Costco is my favorite store on the planet and nothing else even comes close. I've been a Costco member for 13 years and I'd never live life without a Costco membership. I'm a "Costcoaholic", as some people have suggested, and I'm proud of that label. It doesn't matter where I've lived, Costco has always gotten a ton of my money and they always will. Almost everything in my house, from food items, hygiene, furniture, decorations, glasses and contacts, home accessories including bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen, outdoor, indoor, electronics, I mean the list goes on and on, is from Costco. They provide great quality products at an unbeatable price. I'm a big fan of this particular Costco because of its size, it's well kept up, and the vast amount of products offered. This is actually one of the biggest Costco's that I've been to. They have an awesome deli area, awesome food court, optical, and they have amazing customer service. The people that work here are extremely friendly and you tend to feel like family because you see them all the time. Including what's already been mentioned, this Costco has a pharmacy, photo center, tire center, gas station, and a car wash. This is the only place that I buy meat from in the AV, except for occasionally buying something from Trader Joes. The quality of meat here is superb! They even offer USDA Prime cut beef if you're a fan of a high end steaks. I don't eat a lot of beef, but I do like steakhouses like Ruth Chris, Mastros, and Flemmings, and USDA Prime cuts are the same cuts used in those restaurants. But I also buy all of my seafood, chicken, turkey, and all other meat from here as well. To be honest, when it comes to food I basically buy everything from here. The only things that I don't buy from here are some of the perishable items that I know that I won't finish. Then I go to Trader Joes to buy those items individually. Well to be honest again, lol, as I mentioned above I basically buy everything from here. Like I said, damn near everything in my entire house was purchased at a Costco, but mostly at this one because I live in the AV. If you don't have a Costco membership then... you're an idiot, lol. I couldn't think of any other way to put it. Seriously though, this place offers everything and if you don't have a membership then you're doing yourself an injustice. read more

Costco, how I love thee. Let me let you in on a little secret or two about this location. 1- don't go there anywhere near the 1st of the month. Government checks are issued then and the place is packed. Too many people that bring their kids as well. And those little banshees are running around everywhere getting their free samples on. It's a nightmare. And half these people can barely operate a shopping cart, and to think the state of California issues drivers licenses to them. 2- don't go on Mondays. Why? Because half of the place is cleaned out from the weekend shoppers. Also, old people shop on Mondays. And they're just as bad operating a shopping cart as the 1st of the month people. 3- weekends. Skip that shit show. No joke, it's as if families purposefully come here to get a free lunch off the sample booths. So you have these people just blocking isles to get a taste of pita bread. Complete nonsense. The great thing about this location is the car wash wish San Diego had that option. Wine selection here is pretty slim, but that's based on socio-economic demographics. Therefore, lots of bud lite and coors to enjoy. read more

I have been to costco stores all over this country, as well as in Canada and Mexico. The one in Lancaster, CA is probably the best one I have ever been to. It is evident that people love working here from the fact that many of them have worked there for over twenty years. The staff is fantastic, and you cannot beat their return policy. I cannot think of anything bad to say about this costco location. This one is far superior to the SCV Costco. After two visits, and the workers being absolutely rude, I avoid the SCV Costco. read more

My review for the overall store is a solid 5 stars. I mean who doesn't like Costco?! However, a huge -2 stars for the tire department. I used to get all my tires from Costco but the set they sold me was developing flat spots overnight. Every morning, I would get a bumpy ride until it would warm up enough to round back out. Now, this is not Costco's fault but they made it so difficult for me to return these tires, even accusing me of doing burnouts or hard stops that caused the flat spots. I even had to run an experiment where I raised the whole car on jackstands overnight and the problem didn't happen to prove to them that the tires were defective. They could've just easily returned the tires and sent them back to the manufacturer and I would've gotten a different set of tires, end of story. But because of their extra crappy customer service, I had to talk to the manager of the entire store to get him to override the unfriendly tire dept manager. After returning the tires, I've never gone back to the tire department and have since purchased 4 other sets of tires from America's Tires down the street (btw, they have been awesome with everything). read more

We've used Costco to book two Hawaiian vacations. Maui and Big Island. Costco made booking it simple and the condos they work with are 4-5 star luxury rated. Actually the gorgeous and high end condos were a lot of the great memories. Both were beach front. (Vs being squeezed into a hotel room.). Both three bedroom 1600+ square feet. FOR ABOUT THE SAME ORICE AS HOTELS. The rental cars that come are full size. Nice. And, you're given a variety of plane times and choices. Fantastic prices. Excellent experience. Stayed at Halii Kai at big island and Hauni Kai in Maui. read more

Lancaster Costco is way better than Bakersfield. We love Costco, it's the store you can't spend less then $500.00 at, weather you want to or not! I thought all Costco stores were the same. Crowded, with a bunch of employees that just walked past you, never look at you, don't acknowledge you (unless they are checking your receipt), basically a store full of lifeless human like robots. This really didn't bother me that much because it became the norm over the many years I have went to Costco. Until my wife and I decided to goto Costco in Lancaster instead of Bakersfield. Also understand, we live in the Tehachapi area so its pretty equal distance for us. It was a very weird experience, the store was cleaner, super easy to access off the main freeway, and most of all.... no robots. The folks there were super nice. The checker was very talkative and friendly, people walking around were friendly and had smiles on, the employees just seem to have a spring in their step. They were so nice I actually mentioned to the checker that we were from Bakersfield, and I said the people at the Rosedale Costco were not so friendly. She told us, "well.. lets just say it's all about management, and we really like our management here, and this make happy employees, and Bakersfield management isn't what it should be." This made perfect sense to me, and I agreed. Thinking this was a fluke, we have gone there a few times since, and had the same great experience. Nice people, clean store, and well merchandized with easy access. So, for now, I am going to say that Lancaster is our Costco. read more

Who doesn't like buying in bulk. Costco is the guilty pleasure that most people love to broadcast to family and friends. With prices that are unmatched for most home goods, and gas. This location also has a car wash, which is a first at a Costco that I know of. I use to be a employee of Costco in Montclair. What I enjoy about Costco is the demo, it is a bit old fashion, but cool that you get the opportunity to try a product before making your purchase. I've been shopping at this Costco store for years, but I'm so disappointed this year with their quality of their products. The first time I found a fly in the rotisserie chicken, the second time the stew meat was not fresh at all only the top portion was covered in blood to make appear fresh but the bottom of the meat was brown, and the latest incident was with the grapes, every grape had mold, the whole batch was ruined. Our family is done with Costco and will be switching to Sam's Club to see if their products' quality is better if not we'll find another store. read more

Who doesn't love Costco? Plenty of samples and deals going around. I love their fruit selection and light muscle milk. I'm enjoying a slice of their red velvet cake as I type. This selection does tend to get busy since people from far away from Ridgecrest come here. Yeah, those Ridgecrest kids are crazy but they also want a good deal. Costco appliance delivery sucks!!!!!! XPO the delivery service took one month to deliver our range and dishwasher machine after 3 times of rescheduling to deliver our appliances. The first time they swore that they where in front of my house and I was outside waiting for them after they had said they would come by to deliver, they never came. Second time XPO txted me saying they would stop by in 30 mins but they never came. Now finally they get here to deliver past 6 pm they came inside my house took pictures of my old range and dishwasher go outside without saying a word getting ready to leave my home with my appliances. After confronting them and asking what they were doing XPO delivery men said they CANNOT install the appliances that it was past 6pm and insisted on taking the appliances with them saying they would come back another day. I spoke to the manger named Shawn "The boss" explaining that I wanted my appliances installed. Shawn told the delivery guys it was up to them wether they wanted to install or go home.After arguing with them to leave our appliances ,the delivery guys roughly took our appliances off the truck and left it in our garage. they would not install anything even after I offered to pay them out of my own pocket they said they didn't want to install and left. Just a a horrible experience with XPO delivery services and extremely disappointed with Costco for having this crappy delivery service. I really hope Costco fires this company and hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more
