I waited awhile to write this review. Let me start from the top; I got a timing belt replacement done elsewhere which resulted in a rattling noise that would come and go. I took it to these guys after that first shop had ghosted me. Broadway was quick to take my vehicle in the same day I brought it over. Immediately Ruben tells me that it sounds like my timing belt is too tight. So they have my car ready in about a day or two, and told me that the noise went away after they loosened the belt. I pay them the money and I'm on my way, until I decide to stop and check if the noise is still there. It's still there, so I take my car back to their shop about 5 minutes after leaving. They gave me half of my money back which I greatly appreciated. They were super nice and very supportive. They told me to leave my car with them again and they will try to pinpoint the noise. They call me the next day and tell me they think they got it figured out. I go into the shop and they tell me that the noise was engine wear, and that they added Lucas oil additive and it went away. I was excited to drive my car. So I took it around the block and the noise is still there. I was pretty disappointed and I decided just to take my car home because I didn't want to leave it at the shop again. They were nice enough to give me the rest of the bottle of additive however. Couple of weeks pass and I call them up after I had my car diagnosed at the dealership. I told them that the dealership said the noise was coming from the timing belt. I informed them of this and they told me that they looked at the timing belt about 3 times and that everything looked okay. They advised me to stick with their fix (Lucas oil). The reason I waited so long for this review is because it ended up being the timing belt after all. I got it replaced by another mechanic and the noise went away. It was driving me nuts because so many shops couldn't diagnose it. These guys will try their hardest to help you out though. I appreciate the experience but for a vehicle diagnosis I would probably go elsewhere. Their shop was very nice and their communication and customer service was top notch. I wasn't able to get a refund for a little over a year of not being listened to, to being gaslight, to my car being in an accident under their care. I got my catalytic converter changed out here and they gave me a warranty, three months into having the part, it had gotten clogged and I had to go back multiple times to try to get it cleaned and or fixed. Over a year of this back and forth, I drop off my car and they outsourced to A&T automotive for the welding parts. My vehicle didn't come back to me because it got into an accident. I tried getting a refund from Broadway tire and I was told I was doing something illegal, and that they couldn't give me a refund because of a "feeling". I was gaslighted, I was not listened to and I was not respected as a person or customer. Ruben & the front office clerk accused me of insurance fraud. That was not the case. I was just wanting to be heard, taken care of as a customer and ultimately some type of awareness of the issue. I don't have my car due to them outsourcing. During the warranty I didn't have a stable car. On top of that I spent countless times there and that diminished my time and resources. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! The owners and operators are genuinely decent human beings. I brought my car in for an oil change and didn't have an appointment. I was greeted warmly and told that they could do the work. They looked really busy, but did not hesitate to immediately get started on the oil change. While I waited, several customers came in with emergency issues. Every single customer was helped immediately. My oil change didn't take long at all, it was actually the fastest I have ever had this service done. However, the mechanic felt bad for making me wait because he was helping other customers, and so he gave me a brownie! I am still crying. It was the sweetest gesture ever. I have bought a lot of tires in my 55 years of life. And I have been a very loyal customer of the biggest tire store around. But the last few times I have been there I have been increasingly dissatisfied with the service I've received. Right across from Brackenridge Park where I walk my dog five times a week. Stopped in and talked to Rick. This place is in an old Gulf Gas Station. Very cluttered with lots of cars outside. Rick explained they use several vendors and he could shop around for the tires I wanted. He called me back just like he said. I ended up saving about 55% of what I had paid for my last tires at the big store. I am very pleased with the service I received. I have custom wheels and they took care not to damage them. I took my vehicle to Ancira Nissan Automotive Dealer. With their 8 to 10 diagnostic machines and 10 to 12 mechanic/technicians on duty, these guys could not figure-out what was wrong with my vehicle. Four days later and they still had no clue as to what was going on so they decided to just start adding parts in hopes of solving the problem. What a joke. Were these guys serious. They even had to call corporate automotive mechanical repair division and those guys started guessing on what to do also. It was guess after guess. They added a new battery, WHY? Because it needed a new one. Even though I already told them that I didnt think that the battery was not the issue. These guys just refused to just use some basic common sense. Or they may have intentionally intended on do this.I hope not. Corporate automotive mechanical repair division then suggested that they install a new module, which would cost me about $1,300.00 to $1,400.00 stating it MIGHT solve the problem. MIGHT? They weren't even sure. I decided to try Broadway Tire & Automotive. The mechanic on hand was polite and assured me that they would solve the problem one way or another. Yea, I was skeptical, however to my dismay in less than one hour later these guys figured out the problem. I was totally shocked. These guys had my car fixed and ready to go within less than two hours after leaving it off with them and the cost was one/fifth of what Ancira Nissan Automotive Dealer was trying to charge me. The staff and management at Broadway Tire & Automotive were extremely fast, very honest and very dependable. It is totally refreshing to see that such service really does exist now-a days. I normally don't have time to give a review since I own and operate four businesses and a nonprofit, however these guys were really fantastic. I should start off by mentioning that I don't know much about cars outside of having to take it to get its regular maintenance. Luckily for me, I've had my current car for 12+ years and it hasn't given me much trouble...until it did after moving here from CA. Fast forward a year later, and I've had a handful of issues with my aging car including the headlight going out on the driver side and an incessant squealing when I hit the brakes at slow speeds. Being away from home meant I didn't have access to our family's usual mechanic, and my biggest concern was that I could easily be fleeced by a dishonest business. Thanks to Yelp, my fear was unfounded when I spoke with Kevin at Broadway Tire & Auto. The man was calm to my flustered explanation, and he gave me a rundown of the possible causes + solutions. Throughout the day, he followed up with phone calls when he said he would and was very patient when I had to check in with my partner before giving answers. When I went in to pick up my car, he showed me pictures of the process and handed me one of my worn out brake pads. They went above and beyond to get my tire patched and checked all of my tires, including the spare to make sure everything was safe before I left. So, I went back to this place to get an oil change. I had a pretty good experience the first time with an older guy waiting on me and taking care of my car. This time I didn't see him, not sure if he works there anymore. I went in and got a standard oil change, didn't even ask the price assuming I would get good service. There was a tall, young dark haired guy there at the counter eating a baloney sandwich and chatting on his cell that he seemed irritated when I asked him a question about my car. He charged me $42 for a standard/basic oil change. A few days after the oil change, I checked my oil as I normally do. I noticed that it was semi-black. I understand remnants/pieces of old black oil might be left in the tank, but this was a bit much. With my busy schedule, I found time to take the car back explaining that the oil was still dark. I had to ask the guy three times what kind of oil they used because it did not state on the receipt. I think he had to come up with an answer quick that's why he was stalling the question. I believe they either just topped off the oil that I already had in my car or used some old oil that they saved from another car. There is no way that that was $42 worth of oil in my car. Even taking it to Jiffy Lube or Firestone, Sears, the oil if way lighter and newer looking when I get it changed. I will not be going back to this mom and pop place. They may provide other good services, but oil changes beware from them because they are using old oil. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We are a military family and in this situation my husband was gone for 6 weeks. Right after he left my brakes decided to have attitude. I call Broadway Tire and spoke to Kevin. He said they were pretty full on their schedule but to drop it by and they'll take care of it for me anyway. Awesome. I contact Enterprise and set up a rental to pick me up from the auto shop at 8. Kevin greets me and Tells me it will most likely be done that day. Long story short I get to enterprise, by their driver, to find out I cannot rent a car because I have an out-of-state drivers license and my credit card is in my husbands name. Not mine. They then proceeded to tell me, they have nobody to take me back to the auto shop. It was about a mile and a half down the road. I start walking, he has been crying, because I need to get to work, having a little moment. He calls Kevin who proceeds to get in the car and come pick me up. He took me back to the auto shop and told me that when I can drop it off, he'll make sure to get it fixed up for me. For him to just drop everything and try to come and find me and pick me up says volumes about his character. They have done work on our vehicles before and they've always done a standup job. You will not regret coming here. They are fantastic people. And they do quality work and they are fair on prices. read more

After the brake job was done, unfortunately the ABS light started coming on. I brought the car back and they worked hard to find the problem. It was another part that needed replacing unrelated to the brake job, and Kevin worked out a great price with me. I absolutely love these small-business shops for tires and tire repair. They don't hard-sell you like the big, box chain shops. $20 for an in-and-out tire repair and I was back on the road without all the lines about "If we find your tire in not repairable, it is against the law to put it back on your car" (Discount Tire). They just fixed it and told me that I might want to start looking at getting them replaced within the next year or so. Update: Finally had a major repair on my car done here, my alternator crapped out, went to another "honest" mechanic near my place and was quoted $800 and some change. Couldn't find it in my heart and wallet to pay that much so took my car (warning lights and all) 10 something miles out to broadway and the owner was super cool reassuring me that they can send a tow truck out to get me if my car gives out on my way there. I went on a day they were understaffed and they still went ahead and took my car in, same day pick up and the bill with parts and labor included came out to $400 something WITH warranty on the part. My a/c went out 6 hours outside of San Antonio. It was a miserable drive. My return trip would be 1,000 miles. There was no way I could go without air.
