I came to this Sam's Club for the 25th installment of my show "Chicken Wars," in which I am on the hunt to find the best grocery store rotisserie chicken on the planet. After Costco, this was far and away the most requested bird. I came in with high expectations. I thought it was funny how the chickens are $4.98 a piece, as Costcos are priced $4.99. CHICKEN WARS FOR REAL! I love a good sneak diss. I took the tissi down off the highway, and sat in the sand on the intercoastal and ripped into it. This thing was a TANK! One of the biggest chickens I have run into on this journey. But what good does size do if you don't know how to use it? All in all, this chicken was the poster child for a 7.0. Just mid all around. A bit below mid if we are being honest. I'm not mad at it for the price, but people were acting like this bird was going to win Chicken Wars. If you think this Sam's Club tissi is top tier, I'm begging you to please go try Publix or the Fresh Market. Those are HIGH LEVEL birds. I love the selection of stuff this Sam's has. You can find some really cheap things on clearance. For example, I found a bathing suit set for my toddler for $6! A total steal. I took off 2 stars because the parking lot and getting in and out of this place is a nightmare. It's always jammed at the exit/entrance and the gas station is hard to get to from the entrance. Also the food court could be bigger and faster. The food court lines are always long and the counter is small. I was discriminated against!!!! I had an appointment scheduled to have tires rotated and balanced. I am aware that sometimes you might have to wait. However, I waited for over 2hrs at Sam's Club to be told that they had not started to work on my car. At this time several people where there after me and we're seen. There was a man who had missing teeth and was very disrespectful to me and refused to work on my car. Management was informed and they were of no help. People of color stay away from this racist place. These people are cruel and insensitive. I have already made a formal complaint to corporate office. They are looking into this issue. At the time there were no longer working on cars. I took a photo. It is also important to note that I spent between $500 -$700 a year ago on a tire package. This was my first time coming in to have tire rotation and balance. It is important to note that I made an appointment the day before and they made me wait almost 3 hours, while seeing very minimal customers with very minimal business. In addition, they gave bad service and vague answers as to how long it would take. Store employees were shocked and even commented on the disrespect I experienced. My granddaughter is having her 1st bday party and we came here to purchase items for her party on Saturday. My daughter purchased lots of goodies for the piñata and the candy table. I did some window shopping and saw a few items I liked. I love popcorn, so I purchased that, and also purchased my granddaughter's items for her bday party. Sam's Club sells products in bulk and carries other households items like electronics, homegoods, and clothing that are reasonable in price and quality. This particular one also has a tire center, gas station, pharmacy, and vision center to cover many basic needs people may have, What do I like? Prices on bulk items like water, dry goods, canned goods, frozen goods, fruits and veggies and many other items. Being able to get gas as a member at a lower cost is a nice perk. Using thenapp to scan items and check out at the same time is nice, but there is a caveat that I'll list in the what I don't like section. What do I love? They usually have the COSMIC CRISP apples that I love. These things are crisp, sweet, and have LONG shelf life. I'll usually buy 2 bags each time they have them in stock to keep me satiated. What do I not like? The self service kiosks aren't always that self explanatory so if you have a problem you must wait for an attendant to notice and come help. In our case, we did not know it was asking if we wanted extended warranty on something and locked up our scanner. What do I hate? Had coupons that apparently could not be used in self checkout. You MUST go through a cashier line, which were far and few between and were normally backed up. This is a poor practice, especially when you're asking a customer to do self service scanning. But overall, the value has been good for our family since we like to buy things in bulk. This is especially important considering the costs of inflation today. If you don't have a membership, definitely consider getting one if you spend a lot on groceries weekly. read more

Ordered tires via the app on October 26, 2023. I received notice that the tires would be in stock within 5 to 7 days. When I checked back online on November 6, the status was still listed as "PO sent to vendor." The app does not let you cancel your order. Literally had to go into the store, wait, 20 minutes for Customer Service, and have a representative in the tire department cancel my order. Meanwhile, I have been curtailing my driving habits because I really need tires. I was counting on having them last week. They never showed up. Gas station attendant, Alfred, was extremely rude to me, all because the pump didn't work. I even tried inputting two different cards as I sat there waiting out of gas. He treated me like a derelict and told me to move my car. I said, Do you accept cash? He said no, why don't you have a paper card like everyone else? I said what paper card? We have a membership and go when we want to purchase specific items in bulk. Mainly use for water, frozen foods, green tea. For some items they are cheaper than the grocery store but for other items they can run a bit expensive. Also have gas at typically lower prices than gas stations but you have to have the membership to get gas. Store is always crowded especially on the weekend. Better to go in the early morning hours or later in the evening. Love the samples they offer around lunch time. Live that they have self check out as well. Comes in handy when you have a few items and runs quicker than the other lines. They also have a food court area where you can get pizza, hot dogs, soda etc cheap. So you can eat after working up the appetite while shopping.....or eat before you shop so that you don't over purchase stuff because you're hunger shopping. read more

Unfortunately the set up of the store just doesn't make sense. There isn't a real good flow to the isles which creates more chaos. It truly needs to be redesigned. We've been coming to this Sam's Club for two years now. Never ran into a problem until recently, in particular with the customer service. The employees are very hit or miss. They're either incredibly helpful and kind or disrespectful and lazy. The worst experience has been with Phyllis at members services who needs better customer service training. Aside from treating us, and other customers, very condescendingly, she kept laughing at my husband and I when we were trying to return our TV. We were told when we bought it by multiple employees that we had a year warranty, but was told by Phyllis that it was only 90 days. After the manager came by and helped us return it, she kept laughing. I asked her what the matter was and she said "nothing". After more giggling I asked what was funny to which she said "that's just my personality". Sorry, Phyllis, but if your personality is laughing at people who are just trying to get what they bought in proper condition than you don't need to be working at member services. One of the shift managers, Betsie, is unprofessional and rude. We left behind the power cable for something we'd just bought after an employee had helped us unload it in our car but it'd been too big in the box. We went back to retrieve it and, while the employee who helped us went to ask for help from Betsie, she said "okay and?" and laughed as in there's nothing she felt like doing about it. Of all the bad experiences with Sams Club employees we've had, this was by far one of the most disrespectful. There must be laughing gas in the air in this place lol. They charged my card and it said declined so I pulled up the charge on my mobile banking app right in front of them and physically showed them that the charges went through . They told me they're pending not completed but the money was taken from my account . I had to transfer funds and do it all over again . The general manager Christine was completely useless and only cared about taking my stuff away even I showed her the funds were removed from my account and paid to this location twice . I called my bank and was able to have them confirm the charges but luckily reverse the charges and return the funds to me . And let's not forget the tray of breakfast pastries to feed everyone at NASA Mission Control. Check! Yup, this place is stocked to the rafters with huge containers of health & beauty items; cleaning products; office supplies; cases of bottled water, soda, and beer; family-sized packages of grocery items; books, software, DVDs; clothing; and on and on and on. I can certainly see belonging to one of these discounted clubs if you have a large family, or a small restaurant / catering business, or operate a home-based business where you're looking to pinch pennies and maximize your return. Sam's Club is definitely a place for you, and the annual membership fee is certainly reasonable if you're able to take advantage of that 5 gallon jar of mayonnaise or any of their other products and services.
