I visited the new Orange location on a Friday evening. It was my first time in a Costless Wholesale store (notice the L is not capitalized because I use the same stylization as their website; I hope you're impressed with my attention to detail, Lol). Staples, the former tenant in the building, didn't feel large, yet I was taken somewhat aback by what I encountered. The store had clothing, furniture, food items, and more. I went down nearly each aisle to get a thorough idea of what was available. I saw many pairs of slippers, including Dearfoams I previously picked up at Big Lots and Costco. They were much better priced here! I didn't pay too much attention to the clothing racks, but I did see some decent brand names. However, I don't know if they were lesser in quality, like some made-for-outlet and warehouse items (including the Dearfoams). Still worth a browse, though. I wasn't looking to buy furniture, so I didn't pay much attention there. Shopping carts were not permitted in this area. The food item selection wasn't great. In general, prices were good; I'd say even more competitive than Grocery Outlet and Big Lots. The "best before" dates were MOSTLY a long way out, but I encourage you to check because I think I saw some items with dates quickly approaching. I picked up some Tasty Bite Organic Indian pouches for $1/each. The Garden Grove Costco currently sells the Madras Lentils in a box of 8 for $9, and that's AFTER a current $4 off promotion. The "best before" dates were either the same or a couple months in 2022 before Costco's. As other reviews noted, Costless doesn't carry perishables, so it's not a one-stop-shop for everything. Some food items were in damaged boxes, but didn't appear to be opened or compromised in other ways. Many products are probably from overstocked and past season items of big warehouse chains. You'll find plenty of Sam's Club Member's Mark brand and Costco's Kirkland Signature brand items. Be sure to snap up extraordinary bargains; they might not be available the next time because Costless isn't a traditional warehouse store. I wouldn't go much out of my way to visit, but it's certainly worth my time to go in if I'm nearby and not looking for a particular brand or anything. Please note that there's a $10 minimum charge on all debit and credit card purchases! I appreciate that they waived the requirement for my newbie self. What I did NOT like was that the current $5 off Yelp check-in promotion for new visitors requires a review because that's not indicated. Even worse, it was requested that I complete the review right there at the register. Don't be surprised if this promo is removed because Yelp's guidelines state that businesses should not be asking for reviews. I hope the manager who eventually relented sees this (hopefully quality) review and now understands I couldn't type all of this at the register. Anyway, I kept my word and wrote this review at home! Bum Tip: Go to the Costless Wholesale website and sign up for their newsletters to get $10 off your first order! It is a store where I frequently buy, about 25 days ago I bought a vacuum cleaner and used it once and now that I wanted to use it, it did not turn on and I came to the store to see if they could change it or give me credit and they say that after 15 days they cannot change anything and moreover the rude way of telling you... there was even another lady with her receipt arguing about something similar and they did not resolve anything either, they are thieves, I definitely do not recommend that store and I will not return there again. read more

Their return policy is horrible. They will not refund you back, you'll get store credit or have the item exchanged. I went in today with the hopes of finding a splash pad for the kids. When I look at their water toys in boxes, lots of them looked like they have been opened before and just taped up. I didn't think much of it, bc I thought the store would inspect their products before putting them on the shelves. I thought I was in luck when I found the last splash pad that had the world design on it. I purchased the product, and tried it out when I got home. To my surprise the splash pad had mold. Yes MOLD! That's horrible. I took it back less than 30 mins and was told I can get store credit or exchange it for something else. Please be cautious when purchasing water toys from them. I will never buy water toys from them again. The store associate didn't even apologize and based on her demeanor this happens frequent. Update I ended up going to Costco and buying a brand new splash pad for $8 less. read more

My first time here was about two months ago. They have two locations and I went to the Orange store. The store wasn't what I expected. They have a wide variety of products from food items, to clothing, to personal hygiene to electronics. I was here for the electronics. Inventory changes quick so if you see a deal on their website best to move on it fast. Note: many items are not on display so do your research. Went into Costless 1/9/25 with my mom. Having this be her first experience I was hoping to show her the great deals that they provide. But unfortunately the customer service experience was disappointing to say the least. My mom not knowing english by the way, had asked the cashier for a price check on a bottle of refillable hand soap because two different prices were on display. The cashier gave my mom a dirty look and scanned the item and did not say a word for a minute just giving us a blank stare. Confused we began to walk out, a moment later the cashier called over an employee who yelled at us 1.99! And as she ripped the incorrect price as she continued to yell at my mom that the description is printed on the paper if only she bothered to read it. We noticed that the "security," the cashier and the employee began to laugh at us in our faces.I wonder if these employees don't understand that providing great customer service was part of their job description. Simple questions as a price check is not something to be bothered about even when asking nicely. Seeing that all three employees could have been Hispanic just like my mom should have caused them to care and put thought that their own mom would be ridiculed like this at a store. I wonder how that would make them feel. We left in shock that a simple question could be so funny and bothersome. And I hope this doesn't happen again to any other customer so don't bother asking the employees questions from now on since it seems to be an annoyance to the staff. read more
