Was looking for a lady knight costume for the ren fair and decided to check out this local costume shop. I loved how I could try it on in person. Minus a star because It just seemed a little expensive for the quality. She told me I was the first to rent the outfit (it was new) and I didn't put my costume on until I arrived and all I did was walk around the venue and some of the metal buttons started coming off (thank god I noticed and kept them safe) and I had to re attach them. The material just felt like it was going to rip ( the whole time I was afraid I wouldn't get my deposit back and have to pay $300) I wouldn't rent it if you are moving around a lot or in contact with a lot of surfaces. Overall it was a simple/easy process and it was the perfect vibe I was going for and I got so many compliments on the fit. read more

The first time I walked in I couldn't find anyone working there so as they have a chain across the front I didn't want to cross it and left. Today I went in and the girl there was very sweet but as a vintage seller I found prices quite high. The owner, Linda, was very helpful in finding a costume for my 10 year old son in his portrayal of French General Rochambeau. She had a selection of different tops, bottoms and hats. She already knew in her head, after seeing a photograph that my son brought, of what to pull out to try. He was very happy with the outcome as it was much better than buying one of those kids costumes that you find at a department or Halloween store. It just gave it the feel of authenticity. Stumbled across this Really hidden gem recently, in pursuit of an outlaw cowboy costume for a friend's summer party. The owner was super nice, very creative and brought me loads of ideas to consider and try on. What a great shop hiding off T.O. Blvd! Costume rentals, halloween accessories & wigs, vintage clothing for purchase - this lady has it all! I wish I found her when we did the Gatsby party! Even if all you need is some Leg Avenue stockings - Linda's got it! Right at T.O. Blvd & the 23 fwy, turn up the driveway behind the strip that faces the blvd. My husband and I were shopping for steam punk costumes for a party. We had a week to do it. Costume Annex didn't really have what we needed: it was Halloween time. However the sales person told us that the owner had the costumes we needed at another location. I specifically asked about the price range of these costumes (to rent). We got the price range of $35-65. I was satisfied with that. We had a week to spare, so we decided to come back. When we came back, the owner, Linda, brought the costumes. Nothing was cheaper (to rent) than $130. When I asked about the discrepancy in the quote, Linda replied that the associate "didn't know". She was talking about getting them from Europe... With two days left before the party, we didn't have much choice than to rent overpriced costumes. My husband chose to rent the costume for $135. We saw it in the store when we came the first time. . The costume (I later found it on line for $79 to purchase) was vinyl. The name tag that my husband put on it damaged the material. My husband got charged another $85 for the damage, and that's after I showed the ad for the costume on line, or it would have been more. We ended up paying over $200 for a costume that's worth $80. All Linda cared about was the money. Bottom line. Check on line before you buy anything from Costume Annex. Also don't believe what they tell you. read more

This place is a gem! Lots of items to chose from. The owner is so sweet. She is very helpful. She goes the extra mile to help put outfits together. I needed an outfit for Women's History month. She had the "cat frame" eyeglasses and a dress like my mom used to wear in the 60's! She had the cardigan to match as well. She also has a great selection of shoes and hats, but I did not require them at this time.
