They used hot glue. Don't believe me? See the attached photo. It's too close to the date of her dance recital to send them back, so I get to spend time fixing their sub-par work. It also wasn't just my daughter that had a bought of bad luck. The rest of the girls in her dance class had the same issue. Go elsewhere unless you want this kind of headache!
