my vehicle died on a rural back road , was there a few hours. This road is not traveled much, especially on a Sunday. They had my car approximately 1-2 hours before I called to get the price to get my car out of impound. The guy proceeded to tell me it's $350 to get my car out of storage..$350! he said it was a tough tow because he didn't have Keyes.... really ? It's a standard and the doors were not locked , put it in neutral... and isn't towing your job!!!A TOUGH TOW... I called a couple competitors same distance away, $65 bucks for first day.... This guy was apparently making his entire weeks pay on one tow!!!! Keep it!!! read more

I have worked with Cota's many times over the years. Mike is always friendly and offers a fair price for the servicing of vehicles. The only reason for a 4 star review is one experience where the staff noticed my car was out of inspection and despite having over an hour left in the day to perform the inspection I had to make another appt to have the inspection done. Had them perform a simple oil change on a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 60K miles! The oil filter is located on the top of the engine. After picking up my car, I noticed an oil smell within a few miles of their location. The engine oil light went on a short while later and I pulled over to check the engine compartment. Practically all the engine oil had been sprayed within the engine compartment. It was completely coated with oil. I returned to their shop. Luckily I made it before the engine heated up. They had improperly installed the oil filter and had broken the gasket. I demanded they clean the engine compartment and replace the drive belt which had been soaked with oil. They replaced the belt and used a pressure washer to clean the engine. Immediately after this the water pump started squealing. They refused to cover the cost of the pump and stated that the oil and pressure washer had nothing to do with it. They also told me that faulty oil filter installations happen all the time????? I would think long and hard before having them perform any work on a car!!!! read more

I take my vehicles here for oil changes and tire changeover. They are always attentive and usually pretty quick.

i needed a front end alignment and had 4 tires to be mounted and balanced, appt #1 they took the front tires off and was told i needed a upper ball joint replaced prior to alignment they quoted me 350.00 for part and labor.....got it done at another mechanic for 200.00 went back the next week for appt #2 my alignment and tires.. was then told that all of my lug nut covers were stripped and needed to be replaced cause they wouldn't go back on the truck funny they were fine when they took the tires off the week before so after some complaining wah-la the lug covers mysteriously went on fine!!! and the mechanic joked I'm not a chevy man I'm a ford man. So that's reason to try to screw me over???Then i leave and drive my vehicle for about 10 days noticing my steering wheel isn't quite lined up and i live about 35 minutes away and work 2 jobs so its very difficult to get to them i stopped today after i had left my mechanic from getting an inspection and he told me i should go see them since i already paid them for an alignment and it didn't look right as i happen to be in the area i let them know my steering wheel was off and they were going to charge me more $$ to look at it and fix THEIR mistake and said well you shouldn't have waited 2 weeks. WOMEN BEWARE these guys will try to take full advantage of you thinking because you are a girl you don't know cars. I happen to have been employed at an automotive shop in the past and i know it DOES NOT TAKE 2.5-3 hours for a ball joint and i called them out on it and they explained well that's worse case scenario well if i would have just let it go that's what i would have been charged so i got that repaired elsewhaere but since they held my tires there till my next appt i went back the whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth and i WILL NEVER EVER go there for anything again. I have to pay for another alignment at a dealership cause i cant afford to buy 800.00 tires every 6 months. THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS!!! run the other way read more

After 2 days of my vehicle being in shop, Cotas told me they didn't know what was wrong and referred me to a different shop. I was still charged over $100 even though nothing on my vehicle was fixed. The only reason they get 2 stars is that they at least kept me updated on my vehicle and admitted they couldn't fix it. I am not pleased at all that it cost me that much to find out they didn't know what to do. read more
