We visited twice in 2025, St Patrick's Day and October 12. We sat at the bar both times, and had Stacy as our bartender the first time and Edwin the second time. We can see from my pictures that apparently they took away the sides for the chicken and waffles back around 2022. It used to be a choice of a salad or potatoes. We keep forgetting so the past few times when the chicken and waffles came out with no sides we thought, oh where is the salad? It was arugula and it was fantastic and it is sadly missed. It was a good contrast with the salty and sweet chicken and waffles. At least they still have the double strawberry mimosas. The day they take those away, we are out. read more

I visited Eggspectation for the first time while in Delaware and had breakfast there. I was impressed by the variety of healthy and hearty options on the menu, and everything we ordered was delicious. The service was also very good friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We love all day breakfast places and was hoping to add this to our list of go-to establishments. It started off well with a great looking interior and a really nice waitress. We put in our order and waited. And waited. When the food finally came out it was a bit confusing. The skillet breakfast was not in a skillet and the potatoes were on the side so it looked like a depressed and flat round omelette. My dining partner requested her crepe without cheese and it came with cheese. The waitress apologized for the cheese and said she had the chef make another without it. She left the mistake crepe on our table so we tried it. The crepe was really dense and thick. It was more a wrap than a crepe, and it was kind of thick for a wrap too. I found something on my dish that could be a hair or could be from corn or something else - I don't know. I just pulled it off and laid it aside, not eating the area it came from. The second crepe came out and... it had cheese in it again. We didn't even bother to tell the waitress as we had already been there a while and were fairly over the entire experience. The crepe was again really dense and more like a wrap than anything else. We couldn't figure why the place was so busy as our meals took a long time to get to us, were jacked up, and worst of all had no flavor. We noticed almost everyone else was drinking. So I guess this is a place you go if you primarily want to drink and the food is secondary. If you're actually interested in the food, like we are, this may not be the place for you. Had brunch here with two friends and overall, it was solid. We ordered the huevos rancheros and breakfast tacos, plus we split some French toast. The food was tasty but definitely on the messy side. We also had some mimosas and and espresso martinis, but they didn't seem to have much kick to them, which was a little disappointing. On the flip side, the coffee was delicious . This is a cute place. I hear there's usually a wait, but we had reservations so we just waited a short while. There was so much to choose from and I decided to get a cappuccino. I did not expect it to be so tiny, but it is a true cappuccino. I wanted to add a bit of sugar, and it took a long time to flag down. the waiter. I ordered the chicken and waffles and then Chicken came burnt as you can see. I had to send Chicken back and get a new one which was a wait but understandable. when I did receive new chicken it was flavorless thank goodness for the syrup. This place has some good but expensive dishes. I checked the menu before I came, but I didn't anticipate French toast being $18. Still, the service was great, and the decor is very hip. They had some seasonal specials which is nice. I went with the French toast flambe - which was a unique and tasty take on a classic breakfast stable. It came topped with fruit and flambéed with an orange liqueur, so it was a really interesting flavor. We also got an All-American, which for eggs, potatoes, bacon, ham, and sausage. It was good, but $17 for a standard breakfast. The coffee was nice, and we were never with an empty cup. The cups led us to the story of the franchise owner Bobby Pancake, which is just such a whimsical name for a breakfast place owner, I just love it. There were definitely a lot of larger parties, so this seems like a good place to meet friends/family for breakfast/brunch, especially because they serve drinks. This is more a place for that than for a quick bite to eat. read more

Visited this lovely brunch location with my friends today and had a great experience! The ambiance was great as it was a lovely open space with lots of room. There were also tables outdoors. For brunch I ordered a vanilla latte as well as the smoked salmon benny -- both were delicious! The smoked salmon eggs Benedict came with a side of fresh fruit which tasted fresh and yummy. This place ALWAYS has a wait. I'm not sure if they take reservations because we walked in to sit at the bar. The Bar: They have an impressive breakfast/lunch drink menu and even holiday beer options. The bar is pretty long and can accommodate a good amount of patrons with still having elbow room. The Food: This menu is a little more unique than First Watch I think. They have some more creative options and are known for their chicken and waffles (which runs about $19). My boyfriend and I both ordered one of the egg breakfast options. Mine was a classic breakfast with potatoes, eggs, and pancakes (super fluffy). My boyfriend ordered the Huevos Rancheros which looks big but it's just two tortas with some beans, meat, eggs, and avocado. Both dishes were around ($12). Service: We obviously had the bartender as our server. She was great while also serving some high tops. They seemed a little short staffed but she knew what she was doing. I ordered the Eggsuberant, which was a customizable breakfast platter. I had sunny side ups, sausages, and pancakes. The plate also came with Lyonnaise-style potatoes, but since I'm allergic to potatoes, I opted for toast. Overall, the service was fast despite the volume of people at the restaurant, and the food was pretty good too. My only minor complaint is that I wish that they had provided me with more bread; Lyonnaise-style potatoes are pretty fancy, and my substitution consisted of only a single measly slice of bread that was cut into two halves. read more

Came here for the first time , wait was 45 mins without reservation on a Sunday . After waiting hostess placed me and my family at a table that was broken . This was the first time I ate here and it was a horrible experience. Besides me not liking what I ordered for food I decided to get dessert and I waited over 20 mins for 3 slices of New York style cheesecake with strawberries on top. So as I'm looking around to see where the cheesecakes were I watched the waiter drop a strawberry on the floor and then picked it back up and put it on the plate and continued to chop up the strawberry to serve to my and my friends. She literally looked around to see if anyone was watching her to put it back on the plate. The manager came out and said it won't happen again and she's new. First new has nothing to do with have common sense. You don't serve people ANYTHING you drop on the floor. I will not be coming here again because if I was not watching her I would have been eating food off the floor. I was kind of drawn to this place because of its name. I love eggs! The brunch I had really did EGGceed my EGGspectations. When we arrived, there were people lined up outside so we knew it was a busy time of the day. We walked in to check the wait time and were told it would be 45 mins to an hour, but there was bar stool seating which was first come, first served. We took a look and to our surprise, we had two seats available by the bar waiting for us. The inside of the restaurant was spectacular. I wish I had taken more pictures. There's a small bakery section right near the front where they have cakes and things. It reminded me a loft with its industrial look and high ceilings. It was clean inside and the staff were wearing masks and wiping tables down. Our waitress/bartender came over and greeted us promptly. I ordered a Florentine Benedict. The poached eggs sat on top of four pieces of crunchy garlic crostini with seasoned potatoes on the side. Hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy. It was a perfectly portioned meal. My friend ordered a Chesapeake Crepe with greens on the side. I've never been to a restaurant that incorporates eggs into most of their meals. We're tired of hotel breakfast so we checked Yelp for a recommendation. This restaurant popped up as choice number 1 and we completely understand why! As with most places, Covid has impacted their staffing so we had a short wait, but it was worthwhile. We were greeted by Stacey who was delighted that we were first time visitors. We were pleasantly surprised to receive 2 pancakes courtesy of Eggspectation. They were delicious!! I had the Avocado Toast Benedict which was a delightful combination of 2 off my favorite breakfasts. My son had the Western omelet. He kept commenting on how good it was and he even ate all his potatoes ( he's not a huge potato fan)! He also has the freshly squeezed juice which he said was delicious.
