Skillet breakfast served with no skillet? Omelette maybe?
    Kelly M.

We love all day breakfast places and was hoping to add this to our list of go-to establishments. It started off well with a great looking interior and a really nice waitress. We put in our order and waited. And waited. When the food finally came out it was a bit confusing. The skillet breakfast was not in a skillet and the potatoes were on the side so it looked like a depressed and flat round omelette. My dining partner requested her crepe without cheese and it came with cheese. The waitress apologized for the cheese and said she had the chef make another without it. She left the mistake crepe on our table so we tried it. The crepe was really dense and thick. It was more a wrap than a crepe, and it was kind of thick for a wrap too. I found something on my dish that could be a hair or could be from corn or something else - I don't know. I just pulled it off and laid it aside, not eating the area it came from. The second crepe came out and... it had cheese in it again. We didn't even bother to tell the waitress as we had already been there a while and were fairly over the entire experience. The crepe was again really dense and more like a wrap than anything else. We couldn't figure why the place was so busy as our meals took a long time to get to us, were jacked up, and worst of all had no flavor. We noticed almost everyone else was drinking. So I guess this is a place you go if you primarily want to drink and the food is secondary. If you're actually interested in the food, like we are, this may not be the place for you. We're not returning.

Eggsuberant Pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs and potatoes

Nice size restaurant on a dead end road. Service is fast and friendly. I ordered the eggsuberant (pancakes, eggs, choice of meat and potatoes). The pancakes were ok but the star of the show were the potatoes. They were flavorful and cooked perfectly.

This is a cute place. I hear there's usually a wait, but we had reservations so we just waited a short while. There was so much to choose from and I decided to get a cappuccino. I did not expect it to be so tiny, but it is a true cappuccino. I wanted to add a bit of sugar, and it took a long time to flag down. the waiter. I ordered the chicken and waffles and then Chicken came burnt as you can see. I had to send Chicken back and get a new one which was a wait but understandable. when I did receive new chicken it was flavorless thank goodness for the syrup. The breakfast potatoes are absolutely delicious though. I would give them another chance since the menu is so extensive, I'm sure there's something else that I would like.

This place has some good but expensive dishes. I checked the menu before I came, but I didn't anticipate French toast being $18. Still, the service was great, and the decor is very hip. They had some seasonal specials which is nice. I went with the French toast flambe - which was a unique and tasty take on a classic breakfast stable. It came topped with fruit and flambéed with an orange liqueur, so it was a really interesting flavor. We also got an All-American, which for eggs, potatoes, bacon, ham, and sausage. It was good, but $17 for a standard breakfast. The coffee was nice, and we were never with an empty cup. The cups led us to the story of the franchise owner Bobby Pancake, which is just such a whimsical name for a breakfast place owner, I just love it. There were definitely a lot of larger parties, so this seems like a good place to meet friends/family for breakfast/brunch, especially because they serve drinks. This is more a place for that than for a quick bite to eat.

I had a very nice breakfast experience here. Very pleased with our meals. I got the veggie crepe with a side of cheesy grits. Both were good but the grits were top notch! Service was friendly and prompt. We made a reservation. This place gets packed on weekend mornings.

Visited this lovely brunch location with my friends today and had a great experience! The ambiance was great as it was a lovely open space with lots of room. There were also tables outdoors. For brunch I ordered a vanilla latte as well as the smoked salmon benny -- both were delicious! The smoked salmon eggs Benedict came with a side of fresh fruit which tasted fresh and yummy. Overall the experience was great, albeit a bit pricey compared to other brunch spots, even in Philadelphia where things can get pretty expensive.

I first want to say I loved our server Ed. He was attentive despite it being a busy time of the day in a large restaurant and he got our order exactly right the food was absolutely delicious. We loved the French toast and the pork belly. The shrimp and grits was also seasoned very well. As well as the huevos Ranchos. The only thing we could complain about was the garlic bread. It was a bit doughy.

You had me at brunch. First time visiting Eggspectation and did not leave dissapointed. They have a pretty extensive menu and even have a bar area. Not looking to dine in just yet? Don't worry they have a separate to go area. I ordered the French Toast Flambé without the walnuts. The brioche bread was phenomenal and the orange brandy liqueur was the right touch. I also ordered the hot chocolate which was perfect since it was a chilly day. Great place worth checking out. There was so much on the menu that I would like to come back to try.

This place ALWAYS has a wait. I'm not sure if they take reservations because we walked in to sit at the bar. The Bar: They have an impressive breakfast/lunch drink menu and even holiday beer options. The bar is pretty long and can accommodate a good amount of patrons with still having elbow room. The Food: This menu is a little more unique than First Watch I think. They have some more creative options and are known for their chicken and waffles (which runs about $19). My boyfriend and I both ordered one of the egg breakfast options. Mine was a classic breakfast with potatoes, eggs, and pancakes (super fluffy). My boyfriend ordered the Huevos Rancheros which looks big but it's just two tortas with some beans, meat, eggs, and avocado. Both dishes were around ($12). Service: We obviously had the bartender as our server. She was great while also serving some high tops. They seemed a little short staffed but she knew what she was doing. Definitely a place to try if you haven't already!

I came to Eggspectation for breakfast and did not leave disappointed. Upon entering, the place was packed. Fortunately, I was able to score a seat at the bar. I ordered the Eggsuberant, which was a customizable breakfast platter. I had sunny side ups, sausages, and pancakes. The plate also came with Lyonnaise-style potatoes, but since I'm allergic to potatoes, I opted for toast. Overall, the service was fast despite the volume of people at the restaurant, and the food was pretty good too. My only minor complaint is that I wish that they had provided me with more bread; Lyonnaise-style potatoes are pretty fancy, and my substitution consisted of only a single measly slice of bread that was cut into two halves.

Sorry that Nordstrom is now closed. But, this spot is super solid. They have plenty of monitors. Happy hour means $6 well drinks, so my standard is rum and diet Coke. Good drink, single pour of Cruzan. I chose to dine at the bar because the weather was a little steamy out. But I later took my second drink out onto their riverfront patio, and sat awhile in the shade of the building. It was lovely. For snacks, I ordered the blackened filet medallions and the garlic mussels. On a skewer, four hefty pieces of excellent beef were joined with a nifty horseradish dip. I did cut the steak into several bites per piece, so it was a good sized portion. My only preference would have been some garnish (greens maybe?). The mussels normally come with bread, but I let them keep it in the kitchen to sub my own GF bread from home. The broth was thin and lightly flavored, which I enjoyed almost like a soup (but was too embarrassed to tip the bowl). The patron to my right bemoaned the loss of a thicker broth from a previous recipe, so the bartender brought him some scampi butter which helped apparently. I really loved the light broth and found it soaked into the bread quite nicely. Friendly bartender gal cashed me out at my request before I took my drink on the patio. $30 plus tip, well spent. Met and talked with the owner, sharing my limited food service experience as I listened to his fascinating story. The restaurant is part of American history, and is a business that always fascinated me. I've always thought successful restaurant owners, would be successful at most any endeavor because they are just such committed, hard workers, and this fella was a gauge for that rule. The happy hour food and drink prices are fabulous, and though I am a person of habit, everything Ive tried here was excellent, a good example would be the onion rings. Ordered these many times through the years, and it's amazing how many restaurants can't get them right. From the generous portion I was served, they were a hot crispy golden brown with no crumbs on the bottom of the basket, which tells me the frying oil is fresh and at perfect temperature. The regular bartender is one of the most knowledgeable and engaging, and while by myself, I'm always drawn into friendly conversation with the mostly couples that sit at the bar. The bar makes me feel like I'm at a local corner bar in the '70's or '80's, such friendly atmosphere. Wished I lived closer, as this would be a destination dining spot.
