However, I went with the standard option, bean and cheese burrito and rolled beef tacos w/ guac. EXCELLENT shredded beef, guac and the beans were great. First off, the staff was very nice but the food itself was not very good. Everything seemed to not have much seasoning, and the price was good for the amount of food, but the food was not good enough for me to want to eat all of it. The location is also in a random plaza along the freeway so might be good for a pitstop when driving through but I do not know if I would go out of my way or recommend here beyond that. read more

I ordered delivery from here. My food arrived on time and my order was correct. Adobado Burrito - This burrito was simply huge! It was full of meat, pico, and guacamole. They definitely did not skimp out at all. The meat was slightly sweet. Shrimp Bowl - This reminded my of a taco salad. It consisted of shrimp, cheese, pico, guacamole, sour cream, beans, and a layer of rice in fried shell. It was pretty good. Carne Asada Fries - Again, this came in a huge serving. The fries were covered in lots of meat and topping. The fries were pretty good and not soggy at all. Breakfast Burrito w/ Hashbrowns - Great burrito, full of egg, sausage, cheese, and hash browns. If you've read my reviews, you'd know I don't take risks with Mexican food. But this was really good. My party and I really liked our food. Everything was fresh. We were the only ones in there and it's a good feeling when you place an order then hear the grill sizzle. Ahhhhh...... that tells me our food was made fresh. And it taste like it too! The cotijas burrito only comes with asada, roasted serrano Chiles, Monterey Jack cheese, and creamy sauce . But I added beans and rice. Look at it, that thing was huge! We also got the asada fries. Great portion for a "full" serving. They have regular and full. Got the full. The meat was soft, well seasoned and it wasn't chewy. The asada torta was on point. Didn't have leftovers lol. Everything went so well. Enchilada plate was soooo good. The sauce was spicy but not too much to ruin the taste. Beans and rice were proper too. The young lady that helped us out was super cool, friendly and attentive. Guided us through the menu and answered all our questions. I love a good authentic Mexican fast food restaurant that has a Drive thru! Cotija's has a drive thru and is located conveniently right off/on the 215fwy. It is also located near that huge Ashley Furniture store which is where I had just come from. I found Cotija's by its good Yelp reviews! The restaurant is clean which is also important. They offer 2 sizes of tacos: the bigger one and the mini tacos. I wanted to order a variety of food so I liked that you can even get fish tacos in the smaller size. My fish taco was outstanding! Delicious! The creamy sauce was really flavorful and I liked that it had a lot of tomatoes. I like how it was beer battered yet didn't taste too much like beer. I also really liked my carnitas mini taco with cilantro and onion. I really enjoyed the green salsa. It was spicy but didn't blow my head off. The red salsa was good too! My bean & cheese burrito was just ok. To be fair I'm pretty picky about the flavor of refried beans and I found these to be bland I probably would just stick to tacos next time. Josie who was the employee who helped me in the drive thru was amazing! She was so nice and helpful! 5 star service for sure!! Everything was reasonably priced and I got a ton of food for only $13. I've been here a few years ago when it had different owners and thought the food was over priced and tasted store bought and now I still feel the same. The cashier was very nice but I asked for a wet burrito and was not told I would be charged extra. Then it was just enchilada sauce that tasted like the can. The food was excellent! We ordered 1/2 order carne asada fries, asada taco salad, 2 cheese enchiladas, and 3 chicken rolled tacos. The total cost came up to less than $30. It fed my husband, my daughter & me. Each dish was full of flavor. The only thing we didn't really like was the chicken rolled tacos. The chicken was a little dry. I ate all the taco salad. It was great. They give a lot of guacamole and sour cream. We got our food quick. We ordered by drive thru. The staff was friendly. I recommend trying this place out for good Mexican food. Stopped by Cotija on the way back home and really enjoyed the CA burrito. The carne asada was cooked well, had great flavor to it, and was tender. The fries were nice and crispy. I liked how there was a good ratio of carne asada to fries. The pico de gallo was on point as well. The burrito was stuffed with just the right amount of cheese. You can top it with the red or green hot sauce (both not spicy, but give your burrito a good kick), but can actually go without because it's already that good and flavorful. Also tried some of the beef rolled tacos, which was packed with tender beef. Washed my meal down with horchata, which I thought was just okay. Luckily I got a regular and not the large. They have a kid's menu, which is a plus. C enjoyed his bean and cheese burrito, which came with a side of rice and beans (or fries) and a drink. Drive through is another plus. We ended up getting the below items: carnitas burrito 1/2 order of al pastor (Adobada) fries small fish taco large horchata if you know me, you'll know i love mexican fries... if a mexican joint has it, you know i'll be getting it. the burrito and the fries were absolutely tasty, and i highly recommend them. even though i got half an order of the al pastor fries, it was a huge order. I'm really surprised what a full order would be like. i really enjoyed the fish taco they sold cheap, it was like an appetizer. you'll be able to finish it in a few bites. Everything we got was actually too much food for two people, and we were not able to finish everything. there are seats outside, and we just order in the drive thru and ate outside.
