    Cutest cottage ever!
    Kelley K.

This place is a must! We 3 loved it here! I did not want to leave. The beds were so comfortable, like the best! Everything was super clean. Plenty of room in the entire place. Breakfast had really delicious croissants! Ellen was stupendous! What a gem if a person! So helpful & honest. Everything she promised was true. We have traveled a lot this year. Probably the first time in 20 we've ran across such a helpful, honest person in this industry. All around so very impressed with this place. If I had to pick a negative, the shower is a bit weak. But I prefer Baths anyway, and they have a FABULOUS bathtub!

Loved our time at Cottage Grove Inn it was so cute and the cottage was very comfortable. It was also super dog friendly which I loved. Very close walking distance to restaurants and stores and great place to stay and enjoy wine country. Will absolutely be back. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality during our little mini honeymoon!

    Celebrating my wife's 35th bday!
    Raheem A.

With my wife's 35th birthday quickly approaching, I was desperately trying to find something to do to celebrate her. Unfortunately, the Stay at Home order (at the time), required that businesses operate offering takeout services only. This eliminated my idea of us going on an outdoor wine tasting excursion. However, I came upon the idea of staying in a relaxing bed and breakfast establishment in close proximity to wineries. After doing some research on Instagram, my wife found Cottage Grove Inn. After speaking with an employee who explained that the Bed and Breakfast portion of the establishment was temporarily disabled (which was not a concern because there are restaurants in close proximity), I booked a two night stay using a promo code that was provided on their Instagram page. The employee that assisted me was very helpful with suggesting local restaurants to dine at, and wineries that were offering virtual tastings. Taking advantage of the contactless check-in, we quietly entering our room. We were pleasantly surprised at the cozy layout of the room and the extremely deep hot tub (a hot tub is always on our checklist when booking a room for a relaxing getaway). Since we brought our own wine, we were thankful to see that there was a fridge in the room that could hold multiple bottles. Our only gripe (very small in the big scheme of things) was that there was no microwave in the room. Being that the restaurants in the area generally close at 7pm (something to take note of) and were only allowing takeout orders, having a microwave to reheat your food would have been a nice touch. We will definitely love to stay at the Cottage Grove Inn after the Stay at Home order has been lifted. Next go round we would love to put some stamps in our Calistoga winery passports and enjoy some of the restaurants suggested by the staff (we were able to visit Calistoga Inn Restaurant-which had some amazing wings). Thank you Cottage Grove Inn!

    Infront of our cottage

This place was the cherry on top of my boyfriend and I's first time visiting Napa back in September for my birthday. Our original accommodations did not book our stay when we called to confirm, so we were anxiously looking for another place for the weekend. We called the Cottage Grove Inn and they happily were able to assist us. The cottage is beautiful! Very nice and clean. When we came in, music was playing in the background. There is a Bluetooth speaker you can connect your phone to. The bed is soft and relaxing. I believe each cottage has a deep soaking tub and you are able to purchase bath bombs in their office. There are also complimentary bikes you can ride to go into the town. Unfortunately, we were not able to use our fireplace due to the wildfires that happened recently before our trip. The manager, I believe her name is Helen, (sorry if I am wrong) is soooo friendly and made sure our stay was everything and more! I would definitely come back. I really loved it here and always recommend this place now to my friends/families/couples that are planning to go to Napa.

You could sit outside and drink coffee or wine

This place is so quaint and quiet. Beautiful grounds, fountains birds etc. The room was extremely comfortable although I would never use the spa tub. A grab bar in the shower would've been nice also We had a problem someone had a fire in the fireplace prior to us using the room. Soon as you open the door the smell was awful. So we were given a room purifier that was left on the whole time we were there which was three days. We also left the windows open and had the fan going. We were also given an extra bottle of wine for inconvenience We were disappointed there was not a full breakfast. I was told that they're going to put in gas fireplaces which I think it's an excellent idea

Milk options for breakfast. They have oatmilk! A bonus for vegans or lactose intolerant. No need to bring your own oat milk.

This place is so relaxing. Perfect for couples who want to refresh and is perfect for romantic occasions like anniversary. The staffs are so friendly especially Norma who helped us with the bicycle and breakfast. The manager Nancy was very nice and accommodating when we arrived. They also provided white wine for us which I think is very sweet. The place was quiet, clean, beautiful, and perfect. I would definitely come back. There was a fireplace and TV we prefer not to use. But we definitely enjoyed the jacuzzi. If you're looking for a place that's quiet and relaxing, I think this is the one for you.

From the moment we arrived, Brent and Chris made us feel like old friends coming home. The evening wine and cheese hour was such a treat. Local wines, great cheeses, and friendly conversation with other guests created this wonderful sense of community. And breakfast? Out of this world. Perfectly fluffy beignets, a croque madame baked in a delicate crepe, and berries tossed in a spiced wine syrup with cinnamon and star anise. It honestly rivaled any restaurant brunch I've ever had. The big wraparound porch was our favorite spot to relax, whether sipping morning coffee or enjoying a glass of wine at sunset. The location is ideal too, right in downtown Calistoga but still incredibly quiet and peaceful at night. Every detail here feels thoughtful, and every interaction genuine. As soon as we arrived, as we were getting out of our car, we were greeted by name by Chris, one of the two owners. He was so welcoming and friendly! He gave us a quick tour and helped us figure out how to use the Keurig. It was close enough to 5pm, so he whisked us away to the beautiful wrap around porch for the daily wine and cheese social. There we met Brent, his partner, who was equally as charming and funny. They were magnificent hosts throughout our stay! We only wish we had stayed on a weekend so that we could enjoy the luxurious brunch we had seen in photos. However, since we woke up on a weekday, we each received a $25 breakfast voucher to use at one of 3 local eateries. We opted for Bella Bakery on Lincoln. Thanks for the rec, Brent! It did not disappoint and those vouchers were plentiful. I also really appreciated the little details, like the complimentary water, the snack bags for the next day, and the toiletries in our bathroom. Thank you for making our first experience at a B&B a wonderful one! We will absolutely be recommending this B&B to our friends and family!

As well as attending concerts, New Years parties, and just relaxing. I found this cute property in Calistoga online and after reading the positive reviews on several booking sites I decided to book the Oakville room. Right after booking the reservation, I started receiving personalized text messages confirming my registration and providing me detailed information about my stay. They even did their best to accommodate an early check in for us. When we arrived we were able to park right in front of the property. We picked up our personalized envelope with our key to our room on the front porch. The Oakville room is located upstairs and is small but very clean , and decorated nicely. The room opened to a small outdoor patio with a table and two chairs.. Something to note- this particular room does not have a TV in it however other rooms at the Inn do have them. No ceiling fan overhead but a personal heater/air conditioning unit is in the room. A nice comfy bed with a fluffy white duvet made for peaceful sleeping. Now the best part- location! On the corner of Lincoln the main street in Calistoga you can easily walk to botique shops, tasting rooms, restaurants and bars. It is next door to Busters BBQ which has really good casual bbq.. Finally each directly booked stay includes 2 vouchers for Calistoga Roastry. This is a cute coffee shop where we enjoyed an iced latte, smoothie, BLT, and breakfast sandwiche. It is just a 5 minute walk from the Inn. We throughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend if you are visiting Calistoga.

Despite property descriptions and their website, I did not witness anything luxury about this place, apart from the diner. I was at the property for only a couple of hours but that was more than enough. -Photos are a bit deceiving - everything in real life is a lot smaller, especially the pool and bathrooms. I sat down on the toilet and my knees were bumping against the bathroom door. Pool size was not fit for the amount of guests the property can accommodate and looks twice as big in the photos. -No sound isolation whatsoever. You can hear people sneeze/talk/get changed in the rooms next to yours, no sense of privacy whatsoever. To add to this disaster, each room is operated by a PIN code rather than a key. In our case, rather than showing or handing us the PIN, the host just said the PIN out loud for us to try out from the hallway - the implication being that other people probably heard it and our room was essentially unlocked for everybody. I had more privacy when I lived in student halls at uni than at this ''luxury'' chateau. -I had a query about our reservation where we initially wanted to stay an extra night at the property, however, it was near impossible to get hold of the property - 3 contact numbers, 2 email addresses and Booking messaging system later, we finally received a 1-sentence response via Booking messenger with the property completely misunderstanding our request and providing the wrong advice which completely paralysed our options when it came to our time in Napa valley. Their attempt to remedy the situation was a bottle of wine - which we explained we're unlikely to be able to accept as we're due to catch a flight back and our luggage was already full. No other offers or solutions to rectify the poor customer experience. Overall, not worth the money, especially considering the service.

Some things that were weird/problematic/good to know: - The included breakfast isn't like an old school B&B where you go downstairs for breakfast, it's vouchers for Calistoga Roastery. Which is within easy walking distance and has good food/coffee/tea, so it's a fine option for "complimentary breakfast", just not what I was expecting. And hot tip: the vouchers say "brewed coffee or tea and one breakfast entree" but when I got there, they were like "anything you want up to $13" so if you want an espresso and smoothie, that's fine! - There is no reception desk or host/staff onsite. You check in online (which I only partially completed because they wanted credit card details, but I had paid through a third party site when making the reservation and there was nothing explaining that my card would not be charged) then they leave keys for you at the Inn. Again it was fine, just not what I was expecting. - The room I was in didn't have a door for the bathroom. Which I'm accustomed to hotel rooms not having the sink or even shower area enclosed, but the toilet is usually behind a door. I sort of feel like this should be mentioned in the description? - The room I was in didn't have enough places to put things down. Because of pedestal sinks in the bathroom, I took up all the available shelf space with my solo toiletries. If my spouse had been there, I'm not sure how we would have worked it out. And because the bed was adjacent to the door to the little balcony space, there was only a nightstand on one side. If my spouse had been there, where would I have put my phone/glasses/book? None of the weird things would stop me from staying there again though, the important stuff (cleanliness, hot water, comfortable bed, secure/safe, nicely decorated/curated decor) was all top notch.

We had fresh fruit and home baked muffins for breakfast, and a complimentary bottle of white wine. My bed was a little harder and uncomfortable compared to my friend's bed in the main room that was softer and more comfortable. The properly is beautiful and you can see Sterling Vineyards from the hot tube. Overall, a hidden gem and a perfect spot to stay while I'm Calistoga. We stayed in the Dutch Henry Suite.

scratching my head as to why nobody has reviewed this place in five years…read more.. But here goes mine: only stayed for one night, a cold, wet rainy one. Almost walked into the innkeepers front living room we couldn't see the side entrance. The room was nicely appointed and heater was on for us. There was a fresh loaf of banana bread, fruit, cereal milk, etc in the room. Nice touch, but for a longtime bed and breakfast traveller, I really did miss the morning dining room breakfast usually made by the host. . always a great way to get back on the road after a hot meal made by the innkeeper. The location seems incredibly ideal if you are winery- hopping the Napa area. A creek runs right by the backyard, we could hear it running full all night, it was pleasant!
