An absolute BLAST! I lived in Eugene and the surrounding areas for 24 years of my life and I can't believe I have never gone out here. The environment was fun, family friendly, and the announcer kept things going smoothly. It was interesting hearing little details about the cars and their drivers, I appreciated getting to know those things when I had never been before. The stands were filled with family, friends, and fans. They are home of "dirty beer" due to dirt flying everywhere and landing in your beer. LOL. If you're looking to get outside on a Saturday night to do something new with the family or on a date, then this is a great place to go and support! Definitely bring a jacket because it gets chilly, even if you don't think you're going to get cold it's best you do as back up. There's no re-entry. read more

Do not go to the cottage grove scam way. I bought tickets to go to the Monster trucks event. I got caught in traffic on the way and called to see if they would transfer the tickets to the next day. They refused. I will never be back, and if you value your money, don't waste it at the cottage grove speedway. There are better tracks to go to. read more

This is my favorite track of all time. They do a fantastic job of honoring the history of local racing here-if you can make it to their annual historical night, I definitely recommend it. Food, restrooms, etc are just about what you'd expect at a dirt track-not fancy, but certainly adequate. If you want to be super comfortable, spring for one of their skybox seats. It gives you a great view of the action and comes with a food and drink server--well worth it!! read more

I went to Cottage Grove Speedway for the first time while following the World of Outlaws on their west-coast invasion. It's a nice little track, and a blast to watch the Late Models bang around on. They have skybox seating which I would recommend for large events such as this if they are available. There is a lot more room, and easier to get in and out of than in the stands, which was packed tight for World of Outlaws. The skybox seating also include food and drink service, so you don't have to stand in a ridiculously long line at the concessions stands, etc. and the service was decently quick.. The parking is a pain on big events like this, so get there early. If they do end up filling up the lot, you will have to park a ways back, or on the road leading up to the track, but, at least for this packed house event, they had a shuttle bus that ran back and forth from the track to the street/parking down the road. Getting a hold of the track to buy tickets is a pain in the ass though, and their website (even the page linked off of the World of Outlaws site) did not work, and nobody answered the phone. Finally after several messages and weeks later, they did call back and we were able to purchase tickets. Since we were going to be on the road for a few weeks before, we asked them to hold the tickets. When we got to will-call they did not have them, and said they had no record of them, though we had been charged for them. The woman at the ticket counter took our word for it, and actually stuck us in a nicer skybox that had seats available. A great little track, the sprints tear it up on here, and there are a lot more late models at these Oregon tracks than we had up in Washington, so they made for almost, if not better, of a race than the Outlaw sprints did. Have been to this track a few times. I am really happy to see that the management has kept a healthy audience and well kept track. This sport is awesome and I love seeing it going strong. I hope more people take the time to visit a race in the Eugene area, because you don't really get the excitement until you visit. Bring some earplugs just in case, because you are RIGHT there with the sprinters. read more

I will comment on track food and merch. not right or wrong, (maybe it's just a matter of the influence of California cuisine at the tracks I'm used to) but every bit of food that is not candy is either full of grease or deep fried. Really- everything. They do have deschutes and blue moon beer. If you can't do the track food, eat first. Also, strangely no track shirts, programs or merch....I had money burning a hole in my pocket for a few nice souvenirs.... Maybe next time. read more

I came here with a family on the 4th of July! It was a HOT summer day and we drove from Portland to come enjoy the races and the firework show they put on at the end of the night. Unfortunately we didn't realize they don't allow dogs in the main stands. Right when we parked, a girl who was directing people to park told us we couldn't bring dogs into the stands but we could leave them in the car with the windows down and then she said "but someone will call the cops"... wow, OK girl. I'm not leaving my dogs in a car when its 80+ degrees out. Then we find out they do allow them in the pit area if you buy a more expensive pass... what a dumb policy to allow dogs near all the race cars but not in the main stands area where there is grass and many areas that would be comfortable to sit with your pups. So I was pretty disappointed by that. Everyone had to pay more because we had dogs. The pit pass that was $40+, is it worth it? Not really. You get to sit at the small end of the track and you get to walk around the area where all the race cars are but really that's it. The food and beer is only in the main stands. So we went over to the main stands for a couple beers hoping to come back to the pit after, turns out that is a no go, once you have a beer you're not allowed in the pits even if you're not driving until the races are over but once the race is over the beer is no longer available...????? So once we had our $6+ beer, she had us rip off our pit bands, and then we come back for a second beer and shes closed? It would have been nice to know she was closing right after our 1st beer before we ripped off our bands. We paid extra for these bands but honestly, there are not any benefits unless you are there with someone who is a driver. The races were awesome, loud, dirt flying, people yelling and cheering when there is a crash or a roll over. The races were non stop and super entertaining to watch! Children in the main stands have a small area to play in the grass to keep them entertained and out of the parents hair. NO SMOKING in this area though! You will get yelled at. Ill never understand no smoking in an area surrounded by dirt. But OK. I had fun here, I just could have had more fun without all the random weird rules. The fireworks were awesome and well done. There stands are huge, the grounds seem maintained. The bathrooms are kinda sketch and ran out of toilet paper in most stalls, luckily the ladies in the ladies room were nice enough to help each other out when someone needed and handful of TP handed to them over the very short stall doors. Over all, I would go back for more and just come prepared and without dogs! And P.S. They search TF out of your purse as you walk in. read more

Overall it was okay, not one of the best tracks I have been to. The racing was great! However, the parking was crowded, I would recommend arriving by 3:30 to get parking on a the grounds. read more

Its a good track with a long running history in this town. Nothing like hearing the races roar across the town every weekend, I enjoy it. Now, being there is a different story...If you can manage to ignore all drunk, chew spitting, rednecks, and tweakers... you could could then focus on the racing and have a good time. read more
