I ordered from cottage inn pizza on Sunday for the first time ever. After i ordered online i was called by the manager, Kim, and told they no longer had large pizzas available. She offered no solution so i asked what was available and she said she could do mediums. Great, i said to go ahead and do that and to adjust my payment to reflect that i would now be getting medium pizzas instead of large. Well the owner charged me MORE money for mediums. When i called back to tell the manager i was overcharged i was told that it was MY fault because i ordered the family meal deal which only comes with larges of which they didn't have any. I was told the owner was the only one who could adjust the price and he wouldn't be back in until Monday. Today is Wednesday and i checked my cc and still no adjustment. When i called a young girl answered and basically got frustrated with me and told me again it was my fault for ordering the meal deal and she wasn't there. Mind you the manager was there the whole time and i had to ask twice to speak with her. Finally the incredibly rude manager, Kim, gets back on the phone and offers me a $20 credit for my next order. I never plan to order from there again as the pizzas were not that good (jets is way better) and it was too expensive for mediocre pizza. So, the very not nice Kim, says she has to talk to the owner and i can call her back. What kind of customer service makes the customer call back?! Finally i was told i could come to the store and get $15 refund cash, not $20 like originally offered. When i told her this was the worse experience I've ever had and would be leaving a bad review she attempted to talk over me and tell me how wrong i was and when i continued to talk she screamed "don't yell at me!" This place is horrible. Ordered my pizza last night two hours in advance. Walked in 5 minutes after the scheduled pick up time and gave my name. The "cashier" says nothing other than "10 minutes." I explained that I ordered this two hours ago and instead of "Sorry we got busy and lost track" or "Sorry we are a little backed up" I got "Do you want the pizza or not?" I went back to my car, waited 10 minutes and went back in. The "cashier" looked right at me (visibly angry- maybe because of his station in life, I dunno) and shrugged his shoulders... "What? he asked. I said "My order?" He replied "Oh, we voided it. Have a nice day!" in that sing-songy "haha, I screwed you!" way. Which is fine, because he also voided the tip I included before learning what sack of dung this guy was. I've been buying pizza from Cottage Inn on Michigan Ave for the past 6 years. I read some of the negative reviews and honestly I have nothing negative to say. We are hooked on the Flavorful Vegetarian and Philly cheesesteak pizza with white sauce instead of tomato. The staff has always been respectful and efficient. Deliveries have been on time always. Never again will I order from this Cottage Inn. Josh the shift manager had to have the rudest individual I've ever came in contact with. I purchased the Pricebuster gourmet pizza and only requested that it be minus the green peppers. I called back to the restaurant to let them no the pizza was not made correctly as it was missing bell peppers (which I requested), black olives, and the green olives. Josh acted as if I was the worst person on the planet because I called back to the store about the mistake. He offered to make me another pizza and home deliver it but he made it clear he wanted the delivered pizza back. In other words, my family and I were expected to wait an 45 min for the new pizza to arrive and not so much as touch the pizza that was delivered. Please keep in mind, my total for this order was at 40$ as this pizza was not my only item. Poor customer service at it's finest. I'll just stick with Jet's, Happy's, or hell even Little Ceasers. I have been so belittle over a simple ass mistake in my life. I will be calling their corporate office tomorrow. Perhaps if I wasn't black he would have believed me. What a complete jerk!! read more

The only problem I've ever had concerning this Cottage Inn Pizza was worrying about if my pants would fit the next day if I ate their entire delicious pizza all by myself, the food it that good. I'm Scotty too Hotty, a man of fitness, but when I think of this place, the only fitness I can think of is fitness-entire pizza in my mouth. We had a pizza delivered to the crib on Timberline on a really snowy day. The driver was really nice and we tipped him good. Onto what truly counts. The food. The food was like the prices, pretty good. They offer some good coupons in the mail. They usually come in handy. They offer many pizzas, some healthy with lowfat ingredients for the ladies and the guys with lady parts. They offer classics like Supremes and Meat Lovers-type pizzas. And they have sinful delights for us men out their, ones who don't mind walking around eEarth with a thick Ham-Ass. They have a Motor City Meatball Pizza that is just to die for. The chese is awesome here. It tastes like actually cheese, none of that fake cheap stuff them other people sell. The crust is top notch. The deep dish is flavorful, chewy and thick. It's the kind of pizza that eats like a meal. I mean you will be full after eating a few slices and not hungry an hour later. I love the seseme seed. It gives it a nice kick of flavor after all the cheese and sauce is gone from the crust. The sauce is really good. It is very zesty and fresh tasting. Overall, it's definitely got a unique taste and I mean it in a good way. To me, all these mom and pop pizza places all have the same generic taste. Not Cottage inn. They have a flavor which is unique to them and I kinda like that. My man Yates is a really big fan of their subs. He once remarked that the Ham Sub he ordered was the best sub he's ever gotten from a Michigan Pizza place. I've had their lasagna meal deal with the salad. Another solid option indeed. It pains me to write this, but never again. This is the worst cottage inn I have been to. I really like the food at cottage inn, but the customer service here is terrible. I've picked up pizza a few times and had to wait quite a bit longer than they quoted. Fine, no big deal, I can wait a bit. 5 minutes. 10 minutes. 15, that's kind of ridiculous, but I can deal. The straw that broke the camels back though was when I was trying to get a quote on pizza prices for my son's bday party. I was talking to an employee at about noon on a Wednesday. As I was asking some basic questions (how much should i order, what do you recommend, etc...) the guy asked me if I was looking to place an order at that time. I told him I was shopping prices, and I just has a few more questions. The guy said "you can go online and look up our specials, but its pretty busy here, so I have to answer this other call" and hung up on me. WHAT?!!!?! Are you kidding me? Shocked and offended, I tried calling back- no answer, I reported this to their corporate office. Their resolution- they sent me a sorry note and some coupons. The coupons are the exact same ones I get in the mail. This is how you "put the customer first"? By sending me a hollow apology and coupons? Can you leave zero stars? I did an online order at 5:30 for a 7:30 pick up. I called at seven when I saw that I still did not receive an email. The first time I called, a male answered the phone and stated that it wasn't the south Canton store and hung up on me. I called back and got a different person who confirmed that it was the South Canton store. I was told that it was not received and they do not have my order, and they asked if I would like to place a new one. I told them no because it was for pick up on the way home, and I would just get some thing else. The lady was apologetic. At 7:50 PM, the same male that hung up on me the first time called directly to my cell phone. He yelled into the phone that my order was there and had been ready for 20 minutes. I told him that I called earlier and made it clear that I wasn't coming to get that order because they told me they didn't receive it, and I already got dinner somewhere else. He yelled that they weren't canceling it and hung up on me. I honestly thought it was a prank call. I called back and got somebody named MJ who claimed to be the manager. I fully expected him to say that nobody from Cottage Inn called me. Instead he said that they got my order at 7:11 and it was ready at 7:30 and that I was being charged. He had no apologies for the person hanging up on me and calling my cell phone directly to hang up on me. It was like dealing with small children. I cannot believe how unprofessional and messed up this whole experience was. The fact that no one ever apologized and just offered to remove the charge was more upsetting than the person who called my cell phone and screamed at me that they had my order and they weren't canceling it. Sometimes, I don't like talking to people. This is why I picked Cottage Inn yesterday - I could order online. I've done this many times without a problem. But yesterday, I had a problem. I ordered pepperoni (whole pie) and sausage (half). I got cheese bread; their garlic dip is really good. Waited over an hour. Was delivered a cheese pizza and cheese bread. The guy had already left by the time I discovered this. It was snowing. My husband and I ate it anyway because we were hungry. It was average. The garlic dip was still good. Charlie Haddad - I'm super sad about what just happened to me on 11/28/20 at about 7pm. After living in Canton for 20 years, I can't say that I've been treated any poorer. I just sat and listened to members of your staff tear me down and say all manner of evil about me for about 30 minutes after the worker sat the phone down. Racist, rude and liars. I ordered at 5:29 pm and gave the gentlement my address. He asked what my cross streets were and i told him. He said its a little out of the area, but he would deliver no problem. I thanked him and he said it would be 50 minutes. Called 30 minutes later and someone very rude answered the phone. He said he doesnt know if he can take the order because its out of the area. I told him the previous employee said he would. He told me he doesnt know why and it would be another hour. I said ok, and asked would i be charged twice. He very sarcastically said no why would you get charged again. He said an hour, i said why would you tell me more time in addition to what i have already been told. Again with the sarcasm, he said those are just our delivery hours. Ignoring his smart ass mouth, i said ok and hung up. Another hour and 35 minutes later i called to see where the food was and the girl who answered the phone said she was the manager and just got called in. I asked her what was going on and she kept saying he was sorry and they were busy, but she would check. She came back to the phone after placing me on hold and said my order was cancelled and the guy on the phone told me it was cancelled. After explaining to her that he didnt say anything, she told me she would call me back. I didnt wait for that. I wanted to confront the liar who said he told me he was cancelling and proof the order was cancelled. I walked in and there was another man there looked to be of middle eastern descent or Italian claiming that he was the manager and that I didn't belong there and he couldnt help me. I will never order from cottage inn on Michigan Ave in canton again. my husband went to go pick up our food. they were extremely busy and whoever was working the counter told my husband he was all set. My husband assuming it was prepaid did not question it. 2 hour later I received a call from I'm assuming the manager stating it was an oversight because they were busy and money was still owed. I tried to explain to the manager that I can tomorrow because I received an alert from my bank that they suspected fraud and locked my card and I would have to call on monday to have it unlocked. The manager was very rude and treaTed me like a criminal Even though it was his fault. Another 1/2 hour passed and the police was at my door. They were very nice and understanding as I explained my case. I showed them the text messages from my bank about possible fraudulent activities on my account. The police believed me and my husband and stated they will tell the manger I was telling the truth. I come by and get a pizza every couple weeks. Always a goooood pizza. I was doing gluten free for awhile, but the crust is just ok on that one. I prefer the round. We've gone here a few times, because I like to mix up the pizza places I eat at. But, the three times I've been here, something has gone wrong. The first time, I waited over 45 minutes for my pizza. I ordered it in the store, but they must've been understaffed and/or busy. I've never waited that long for a pizza, and in my haste to get out of there, my pizza had the wrong toppings on it. It was still good though, probably because I was so hungry. The second time, I ordered their specialty Aloha pizza, which has BBQ sauce instead of regular pizza sauce. I asked for light sauce on the pizza, and the pizza was literally soaked and dripping in BBQ sauce. The pizza did not taste good. Last time, I ordered a deep dish and ended up with a round. In all these cases, I could've complained, but I'd probably still be sitting there waiting for my order to be remade. We placed our order online and ordered no cheese on the pizza, and an order of bread sticks, the bread sticks come with Parmesan cheese, I figured with my allergy I would just not eat them, 5 minutes after I placed the order online I received a call from Cottage Inn and they said they noticed for the pizza I selected no cheese and said they could not put Parmesan cheese on the bread sticks also if it's an allergy. That right there is great attention to detail on the part of this establishment, and shows they care, I was very much impressed they called and offered that while other places would ignore it and make it as is without checking to make sure with the customer, especially on New Years Eve, one of the busiest nights for any pizza place, if you want pizza and are by this location, don't think twice, give them a call. Though here's the kicker the manager argued with me on the phone and said its not possible. I brought the pizza back to show him and he argued it did not come from there "its not possible he said" I also offered to pay for another pizza he refused to make another. WOW!
