Not sure why they feel the need to advertise a bag of southern plantation corn meal behind the cash register. Maybe cottage inn have enslaved Caucasian or Asian workers in the back making the ingredients ? The food is great when it's made correctly, which is not that often. A pizza is always delicious with plenty of cheese but not too much to the point that you will choke on it. The pizza had a lot of bread too. Like a whole bread stick was the size of the crust. Hmmm let's see....Where do i start?....ok. Firstly, 5 stars for this place for having Vegan pizza in the first place. Not too mention, it was super super good. Like dangerously good because I cant stop ordering it lol. Secondly I had the pleasure of Mr. Jonathon S taking my order and going above and beyond his duty to make sure my experience was exceptional by paying extra attention to the fact that i am a strict vegan and assuring there would be no cross contamination. My husband and I were staying at the Holiday Inn Express in East Lansing, MI for work. We ordered a pizza with our usual five toppings. We were very impressed with the entire process from ordering to delivery to eating!! The only negative thing to say is that they should have included some Parmesan cheese with the delivery. Today was my first visit and I ordered at around 6:15pm as a walk in; waited 12 minutes for my order, not bad. New to the area and wanted to try out some spots. I would give this place 5 stars but I found it a bit pricy for a small "flavorful veggie" pizza or something like that. Dominos is right across the street and since revamping their pizza can compete with this place. (As far as I'm concerned) BUT, my pizza was amazing, the crust, cheese, toppings, and sauce are more authentic and flavorful than what Dominos could offer which is why I would split my choices as 60% this place and 40% Dominos. If this place drops its price by 65 cents-1$ on whole pizzas (small and medium) I would eat here 80% and Dominos 20%. This place could still make a profit with those margins on those size pizzas and I would not mind paying slightly more for authentic pizza. I am emphasizing the word slightly! read more

This is probably my favorite place to get pizza from when I am working downtown. They are always fast and freshly delivered directly to my workplace. I usually order fairly plain pizzas, like cheese and pepperoni and sometimes when I'm feeling special I'll add the occasional onions to my pizza. I prefer the deep-dish option, as I do prefer thicker pieces and they have never disappointed me in their deep-dish selections. Slices or tomato(not chopped), fresh black olives, good crust, and cheese. And not undercooked like the chain I used to order from. I've been a fan of Cottage Inn for several years. I get food from both the downtown Lansing and Holt locations. It might not be the best pizza you ever had, but it's usually very good. You gotta appreciate the variety of toppings and combinations available. Anyone who says that some of the less expensive places like Little Caesar's are as good or better are FOS, IMO. The service has been a bit spotty late, but they always tell you up front if there's going to be a long wait, and they always make it right if they make a mistake. I ordered Cottage Inn Pizza the day I literally moved to Lansing. At 11:30 am. It took an hour and a half during lunch, to get my meal. One Pizza and breadsticks. I ordered a pizza with white sauce, and it came to me dry. And the breadsticks had nothing on them. I complained to management, and it was like a bad ex girlfriend "Note seen". Nothing happened.
