Waiting to be seen well before the appointment time but put into a room given the circumstances to make our boy as comfortable as possible

My golden retriever was unfortunately attacked/ bit by other dogs and needed to be seen ASAP. I was worried we wouldn't find a vet who would get us in with such short notice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We called as soon as they opened and they quickly scheduled us an appointment to have him seen within 2 hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I got there a little early and the staff was so sweet talking to him so calmly and telling him they knew he had a hard night the night before.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since my dog was nervous and injured they put us into a room right away meanwhile we waited to be seen. The doctor was really nice, she explained options for how his injuries could be treated and showed genuine concern for what happened to him & his wellbeing . [[HIGHLIGHT]]I truly cannot thank the entire staff enough for helping our boy in his time of need![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Mila feeling better after receiving the best care

I had an urgent matter with my newly adopted kitten, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was able to make an appointment the same day![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The comfort I felt taking my very sick kitten here is unmatched.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dr gallo and Angela are truly amazing and I highly recommend this place. They are very clean and friendly and made sure Mila was very well taken care of. You can tell they really care about all animals.

The pet hospital cottage name, they did not help me at all!!!!!

Everything!!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you make an appointment everyone is happy and go out of their way to help you when you make an appointment[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] , but when you call to ask for them to help you cancel an online pharmacy, they help out with giving you a disconnected phone number and website that are AI ghosts! It took me 2 hours to cancel this order with no help from cottage Pet Hospital!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Dr. Gallo and staff were very nice and caring during my very tough time saying good-bye to my best friend[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]".

    Bucky

I have an extra minute and I'm just furious with places in the medical field that don't do their job properly. We came in almost positive our 9 month old puppy has a UTI, he has had several incidents that he peed uncontrollably some while sleeping some while eating. He has green colored discharge almost every time he pees, and he licks his genitalia quite often, not obsessively. We came ready with urine sample for our first visit with our newly adopted Bucky. We had an appointment for 9:00am we were told to arrive 15 minutes early to fill in forms, so we did. We were accepted immediately and put to wait in a room until 9:20am when they only took Bucky to first examination behind doors we couldn't even see our puppy(35 minutes waiting unknowingly for what really, with a very anxious puppy). When Bucky came back he was ok, we were told to keep waiting in that room for a doctor to come. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When the doctor came we were only asked off topic questions and dismissed our concerns by saying it's common for puppy's to have urinal accidents and that a little discharge is normal (when asked about discharges we answered he has them constantly several times a day).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we were insisting that something is wrong and the accidents he has are not normal (me and my girlfriend both owned several dogs before) we were told that they can send the urinal sample to the lab for testing for extra costs, right to selling unnecessary services. A simple dog urinal test strip could give some insight before offering paid lab testing but it was never brought up. I am fed up with dentist doctors vets and anyone in the medical field who follows this nonsense of overcomplicating treatments to make an extra buck. All the bad experience and long waiting is just what triggered me to write this, I'm not returning and I urge for others to do the same.

First off thank you Dr. Ash for being informative and especially he always kind and treat animals with care and passion. He never recommend anything that's unnecessary and we - clients appreciate it so much! Neemo has been spayed here and did see Dr many times and been cured here many times. She has good experiences here as well as Ozzy ( though Ozzy is scared of everything, she managed to overcome her fear here so yk the staff are very gentle) If you're curious, prices here are affordable/ reasonable to me. If I could give Dr. Ash 10 stars, I would!…read more After many years of sharing my life with cats (including some wonderfully opinionated and very shy ones), I can honestly say Dr. Ash is the best veterinarian I've ever had. Around our house, he's simply known as The Cat Whisperer. Somehow he has this magical "Dr. Ash method" that can calm even my most nervous, difficult cats. Cats that normally hide, hiss, or make everyone work for it seem to trust him. I still haven't figured out his secret! What really sets Dr. Ash apart is the time he gives every patient and every pet parent. He never makes you feel rushed. He explains blood work and treatment options in incredible detail, answers every question, and has even called me in the evening to personally discuss test results. That level of care and dedication is almost unheard of. I also want to recognize his amazing staff. Raquel, Andrea, and everyone at the clinic are always so kind, patient, and genuinely caring. Whether they're drawing blood, collecting urine samples, trimming nails, or giving one of my cats a sanitary trim, they handle each cat with such compassion and professionalism. You can tell they truly love what they do. I've trusted Dr. Ash and his team with my cats for many years, and I wouldn't trust anyone more. They treat every one of my cats as if they were their own, and that means the world to me. And here's the highest compliment I can give him: if Dr. Ash ever moved to Timbuktu... I'd be pricing moving trucks the same day. That's how much I trust him. Thank you, Dr. Ash, Raquel, Andrea, and the entire team for the exceptional care you've given my furry family over the years. You are all simply the best.

YES you will wait 1.5-2 hours past your appt time. If you do a walk-in, u will wait longer…read more The shortest wait is coming first thing in the morning before patients build up. One time on Sat morning, I waited only 45 min to be seen! lol Yelp says he closes at 5, but i made an appt before at 4:30 and we were still at the office at 8pm finishing up with the doctor. This guy is a workaholic. His prices cannot be beat so if you don't mind paying up to double more somewhere else, then go to the another vet. If you are willing to wait to save money, come here. Ex: other vets quote $450 for an anesthetic teeth cleaning, if you have any extraction, it can cost you $1k. Dr Kim prob charges half that, but you will be picking your dog up at midnight. So weigh the pros and cons and decide. I have another vet I also use for minor issues when I'm short on time. One of our dogs got cancer on his paw, and my other vet told me it's not operable on the law and you will need to go to vet oncology and run tests and possible amputation and it will run you $10-15k. The dog was almost 15yo so obv we decided against that especially if he might not make it thru surgery/chemo. Then, we took him here for a second opinion. dr Kim also said that vet oncologist would cost that with amputation but the dog had hip dysplasia so obv amputation was not feasible. We told him that's too much for a 15yo dog. Then Dr Kim said he will operate to try to remove the tumor without testing for metastases first, if that's what we wanted to try. So we agreed to take a chance. He did a beautiful operation. Clear margins and beautiful stitch work. However, the cancer was too aggressive and turned out to be metastatic so it grew back. But he still bought our dog some time before he had to be put down at a fraction of $10k. I could tell he really wanted to save the dog and avoid putting him down. He truly loves animals. Yes he's human and he makes mistakes like all of us, but I think he's truly acting in the animals best interest to save as many as possible. Just look how freaking busy his office is. Testament to his skills. I'll still wait at his office for 2-3 hours if that's what it takes for anything serious. However if I just need a routine check up, then I'll go to my neighborhood vet to save time.

This place came highly recommended by my best friend since she takes her dog there…read more Yeah, not impressed. I get there at 9:30 am to check for my 9:45 am appointment today as I scheduled last week when I called. Door is locked. I go back to my car and try to call the office. Nobody answers. Then I see a tech waking out to the back shed/house thing while chain vaping and ask her when she comes back out if they're open. She then says "Thursdays and Fridays are surgery only. What time was your appointment scheduled for?" Then the "Pet Nurse" (according to her name tag) Brenda pops her head out and the other tech tells her what happened. Brenda then takes me inside to go to the computer and find my info. While we're in there, she takes an attitude with me. Turns out the person I spoke to was the new hire and she screwed up all the way around. Didn't even out my info in the computer! Instead of rectifying the situation and offering an apology, Brenda then just says "well, sorry, you should've been told our policy." I then tell her I can't do any other day and I guess I have to go elsewhere and I walk out. Full disclosure, I was irritated and did throw some attitude back at Brenda, but she made it out to be my fault when it was your new hire's fault. Yeah, I'm done. My best friend may like you for her dog, but you guys have horrible customer service. You could've at least offered an apology or referred me somewhere else. Ended up taking my cat to VIP Animal Hospital in Fullerton and they took us right away!

This review is long overdue. I've been bringing my dog, Chelsea, to OC Veterinary for 10 years,…read moreever since I moved her down from the Bay Area. Chelsea recently passed away at 17, almost 18. She had such a long, happy life because of the care she received here. Chelsea was my baby, and I know how hard it can be to find a good vet. Pets can't talk, but you can see when they are genuinely cared for--and Chelsea got the best care at OC Veterinary. From the receptionists to the doctors, she was loved by everyone, and I am so grateful for that. Chelsea saw both Dr. Horn and, mostly, Dr. Nikki--both are exceptional veterinarians. We saw Dr. Nikki the most, and we had a very special connection with her. After Chelsea passed, Dr. Nikki even reached out to check on us, which was incredibly kind. She is practical, compassionate, and everything you could want in a vet. Chelsea also saw the groomer, Heather, who was very gentle and careful with her. Chelsea had back issues and was an older little lady, so it was comforting to know she was in safe hands. Sandra and Steve also made a big impact on Chelsea's life, especially Steve. They cared for her like she was their own family. Steve even called to check on us after Chelsea passed, which meant so much. I'm sorry this review comes so late, but I feel Chelsea would have wanted me to write it, and I want to honor her memory. No one enjoys visiting the doctor, but I am so grateful that we found such a wonderful facility to care for Chelsea. I loved her with all my heart, and after our family, OC Veterinary loved her most.

We were incredibly worried and scared about him, and it was such an emotional and overwhelming time for us. From the moment we met Dr. Eskander, she was not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also so compassionate, patient, and genuinely caring. She treated Appa with so much kindness and love, and she made us feel like we were not alone through such a difficult experience. What really touched our hearts was how much she cared about us too. She took the time to answer our questions, listen to our concerns, and reassure us when we were scared. She helped calm both me and my husband when we needed it most. And then, even after Appa's visit, Dr. Eskander followed up with us to make sure he was okay. That meant more to us than she probably realizes. It showed us that Appa wasn't just another patient to her. She truly cared about how he was doing. As pet parents, all we want is someone who will care for our babies as much as we do, and Dr. Eskander gave us exactly that. We will forever be grateful for the compassion, kindness, and care she showed our boy. Thank you, Dr. Eskander, for taking such wonderful care of Appa and for giving two very worried pet parents some much-needed comfort during a very difficult time. We will never forget your kindness. When you are in a moment of deep duress, faced with sudden, heavy decisions in the middle of the night, you need empathy. We were the only patients there, yet the care felt as cold as the human medical system. We felt backed into a corner with no good options: either take our dog's lifeless body home to wait for our regular vet to open, pay around $250 just to hold his body for a few hours, or choose their cremation service through West Coast Pet Memorial. We were handed a total bill from West Coast Pet Memorial for the cremation without a transparent breakdown of the hidden costs from CASE Animal Hospital --we weren't told the clay paw print was $67, the individual cremation was $300, and the urn was $0, bringing the total to $372.87 (before shipping). At CASE we were given this pamphlet and nothing more. On top of that, we had to choose between a $30+ shipping fee or driving all the way to Temecula for pickup. I thought I was making the most compassionate choice by not taking my dog's body home to wait, but I regret it. For context, The Animal Doctors - Anaheim provides a beautifully thought-out, reasonable package (when our cat passed, we received a lovely wooden box with a gold lock, memorial canvas tote, and a clay paw print included). I expected that same level of dignity here, but instead, it felt entirely corporate.
