Our new puppy was pooping blood and we were very concerned about that. We wanted to get her in right away. Thankfully, this veterinary hospital had an appointment. The veterinarian was great. Very thorough with explaining testing and treatment. They ran bloodwork and requested a stool sample. We got some prescription probiotics for her to take with food. The bloodwork came back good. Just waiting on the stool sample results. In the meantime, the prebiotic and probiotic powder is helping. This is a very good veterinary clinic. Let me start off with the fact that I have been a customer since 2022! I regularly take my cats to Dr. Erika Carillo and Dr. Englehart. Erika Carillo remembers my pets like as if it was yesterday and Dr. Englehart always reads my other cat's chart from his cardiologist. They are quick to work with insurance and are very thorough. Dr. Carillo caught my cat's early stages of HCM through an x-ray when he came in for constipation! I have noticed some staff changes recently, and I might be biased since I LOVED her old front desk people, they were quite nice. I was also pleasantly surprised to see Dr. Carillo and how she remembered my cat, Soup. Pros: thorough, flexible, and quick with insurance. I have been going here for more than 3 years, and have monthly selensia shot (expensive!) and nail trim. We make appointment well in advance. We have been kept waiting in the lobby too long (first 1 hour, and I complained and got in - said they were understaffed; and today, 45 mins - don't have any idea why as they took several dogs who came in after us, and so I left and asked them to email me my medical records. Then we weren't seen for about an hour because "the vet was running behind" to begin with. Ridiculous. I'd understand if there were other patients waiting and us being late ruined things for them, but we were literally the only ones there, on a Saturday at 10:30. And all we needed was a renewed prescription for my cat's urinary control wet food. Our dog had major surgery a few weeks ago. They called in a mobile specialist that complete her surgery. All went well until I got my bill. They are now charging a 3% fee on all Care credit card transactions. If I would have known this in advanced I would have gone elsewhere. (My other vet uses the same mobile surgeon). They charge for booking an appointment and request payment on the spot. I also paid in advance a $500 deposit for the surgery as well. I just loved this place when Kate Moore & Bianca was there. really liked this vet and I purposely followed one doctor to this one because I liked the way she handled my dog. The front desk are always so cheerful and friendly. The last time I went my dog was vomiting and not feeling well. I had blood work done and received a phone call on the printout. It was not very thorough in the explanation of my dog's ailments. There was not a whole lot of time spent with my dog at the veterinary hospital. I took her to another vet who did bloodwork and he spent a good amount of time on our dog and on explaining all about her bloodwork. He also prescribed medicine for her bloodshot eyes. She was more than just a pet--she was family, my daughter in every way that mattered. Qwerty was a black and tan miniature pinscher with a touch of chihuahua, and she was by my side for nearly 18 years. I got her as a gift for my 15th birthday, and she stayed with me through so many of life's milestones. She was everything to me. As her health began to decline, the team at Fullerton Regional was there every step of the way. From elder care to the most difficult decision at the end of her journey, they showed nothing but kindness, patience, and professionalism. They truly understood how much she meant to me and treated her with so much respect and dignity. Shortly before what would have been her 18th birthday, Qwerty's journey came to an end. Even now, as I approach my 33rd birthday, writing this review is one of the hardest things I've ever done. But I felt it was important to share how incredible this place is. I brought my dog here for the first time after he was experiencing some blood in his urine. The entire staff made the process so easy! They were helpful over the phone about questions and in person. They examined my dog and gave me multiple options in treating him. They never once made me feel pressured into picking one treatment over another. Of course they recommended the treatment that was the most extensive and that I probably should do but they worked with me and my budget on getting the best care for my dog! Highly recommend! My dog's left leg was acting a little weird (clearly could not stand straight) and he kept on licking his left paw so I took him to this veterinary. They said they will take x ray on the left leg which i agreed, my dog has done x rays before and the entire bill was under $350. Turned out the bill was $749, I asked them why and they said they took some different body parts of x rays that's why it was more expensive... Next day after the exam they told me his bones are completely fine, and told me to come pick up supplements & pain relievers ($94) for his bones. They did not say anything about this left paw. 2 days later I noticed his paw got worse & started to bleed! I called the veterinary again and told them they did not take a closer look on his paw when doing the "Comprehensive physical exam" for $64 USD. Turned out his left leg was hurting because of his paw! I had to make another appointment with them, and I upfront told them they missed check his paw last time. They responded "I did noticed his paws but it wasn't that bad, and i told you to come get an injection on the phone but you never did." First of all, if you did noticed the paw injury, why didn't you give him the injection he needed on the 1st visit? The call I received was only to inform me his bones were fine and told me not to worry and come to pick up his pain relievers & supplements. They NEVER mentioned any injection or his paw injury on the phone. The 2nd visit was another $270, they added another "Comprehensive physical exam"$64USD, which was RIDICULOUS, you guys missed checked the first time and charging me again for this? $270 was for a comprehensive exam, injection, meds, wipes & a spray. They never mentioned on the phone about any of those treatments. What a rip off! All my friends (including vet friends) who have a fur baby told me I got scammed and a professional veterinary should have noticed his paw injury and provide the wipes & spray on the 1st visit. They have those on site, so why didn't they just provide it that day? Unprofessional and non-transparent pricing. I'm at a loss for words. My family and I have only been here one time and it was one of the hardest days we've had to deal with. Our 14 year old pitbull named Lucky started showing signs of an illness. We called several hospitals in the area and this was the only one that could see us. Come to find out she had tumor that caused severe issues resulting in us having to say goodbye to her. During the process the staff was extremely friendly and understanding. They each took the time to comfort us and explain the steps along the way without rushing us. We were allowed to grieve and spend time with her until we were all ready. They showed an extraordinary amount of compassion for both our pet and our family. I don't know if we would have received this kind of treatment at our usual hospital or office. I just got ripped off $64 for trying to make a same day appointment (made the appointment at 12pm and tried to cancel/reschedule at 1:30pm) and was told that I need to have a credit card on file for the deposit which is the cost of the visit. When I asked to cancel an hour and a half later, I was told same day cancelation would mean that $64 deposit would be charged. So I then asked if I can reschedule for another day instead and even though the first receptionist replied that she doesn't see why not and that she just needs to confirm with her manager, she put me on hold for 5 min then the line went to a voicemail. When I called again, someone named Nicole answered and I was told that I would still be charged for today and charged again for the deposit of the future appointment if I were to reschedule. I have NEVER encountered a vet with this type of "we're just a business" kind of practice! I want to keep this strictly about my experience with the reception and the policy of the vet so I have nothing to say about the quality of the vet care, but I would never visit this vet personally. For those saying it makes sense that they would charge for same day cancelation (which I totally get in some professions), the reception didn't even let me know that I would be charged for canceling. So in essence, they just completely charged my credit card without being fully transparent about the transaction. read more

Switching vets has usually been a smooth process for us, even when moving from another state. Most clinics simply transfer vaccine records and history, set up my dog's account, and send helpful reminders for upcoming vaccines and exams. Unfortunately, my experience with Fullerton Regional has been the opposite. Not only did they fail to provide reminders, but every time I asked what was due, the staff seemed to have no idea, suggesting that everything was needed--even rabies, which isn't due until next year. Their system feels outdated, and the office staff either lacks efficiency or motivation. On top of that, the prices they charge y so much that they exceed my pet insurance limits, meaning I'm not reimbursed like before for standard vaccines and exams. During a previous visit, I noticed a very sick yorkie who was soiling everywhere, and it didn't seem like it was cleaned thoroughly. My dog got sick after that visit, so I'd advise anyone visiting here to bathe their pet right afterward. I'm finally done with this place and will be switching to another vet. read more

We adopted a toyger mix 3 weeks ago and according to his previous "mama" he needed a wellness check up and his vaccines. Since we've never had a pet before, I did some research on Yelp and settled with Commonwealth because of their reviews. Let me share my experience with you. From the beginning, the staff has been courteous and informative. When I initially scheduled my appointment the receptionist was clear on the procedures taken because of COVID. They do offer curbside if you do not want to walk-in. But my cat is a big baby and he was crying the whole ride, so we walked him in. We were early, but they greeted us and checked us in right away. The lobby was clean and clean air and ventilation. They also offered us bottled water. Since it wasn't busy, we were put in a room before our scheduled time. I didn't know what to expect but the assistant assured us that Brix would be ok. We were seen by Dr. Moore right on time. She was friendly and gentle with Brix. She did a physical exam and assured us that he's looks healthy and she doesn't see anything to be concerned about. After the physical exam, he was taken to another room to get his vaccinations. We didn't wait long at all. I had questions concerning the after affects of the shots and they gave me information about that. I mentioned my difficulty getting Brix into his carrier because it took 4 family members and 30 mins.. and they gave me good tips on how to do it less than a few minutes next time. Overall, our experience was great! Fast, efficient, friendly service from a knowledgeable staff was enough for me to rate them 5 stars. The exam was $55 and since I was a first time customer, they offered a $20.00 discount with a Yelp Check-in. The vaccinations were $41.00. In total, I paid $76 for the entire visit. Petco and Petsmart quoted $100+ so this was a great deal! I was trying to find a vet in my area and used the yelp app to find out which places can see me as soon as possible and commonwealth messaged me right away! I was able to get a next day appointment, which was really nice because I wanted my kitten to get de-worming medicine and her first round of shots. Everyone here was really nice. There wasn't anyone waiting in the waiting room besides us which was good because of covid. Everyone wears a face mask and makes you feel comfortable. This place is a little out of the way but it was a great first impression so I don't mind driving a little further. There is a check in deal for your first examination!! I completely forgot even though the owner told me about it yesterday in our conversation, but she said that they would credit my account for next time which is really generous of them. My 7 month old multipoo carl came in for a routine neutering appointment yesterday. I actually choose this place based of reviews and pricing was on the higher end thinking he would be well taken care of. your team gave my puppy 10x the dosage of medication nearly killing him!! Doctor called at first and acted like it was not a big deal he'll be a tad drowsy and just keep an eye on him with my after surgery call. The only reason I cared to even look further and question it was due to the large DISCOUNT on my final bill. My friend is also a vet out of state. Doctor played it off like it was not a big deal and he just had a little extra. I had to firmly ask about the dosages in which she would not answer until the 4th time of my hard request. I am disgusted, she then suggested I personally transfer him to an after hours hospital for care. (at this point she was fully aware my veterinarian friend had discussed the severity of the situation with me) I am so greatful he is in an after hours hospital getting treatment in which this vet offered to pay for when i stated so you almost kill my dog, play it off, charge me for the surgery and now I will be responsible for another $2000 due to your negligence?! The new hospital has been great, they have stated his temperature and vitals were very low and he could have passed at home without proper care. This is veterinarian malpractice and this will be known to the community. Thank God I question further and had the knowledge from my friend or my poor carl may not be with us anymore. SHAME ON YOU! I will update this post with records once received so the community can see this is a real thing and hope it doesn't happen to your pet.
