If I could give this wonderful place 10 stars, I would! Unfortunately, Yelp only allows me to give them 5. About a month ago, I noticed a lump on my dog. I kept a close eye on it, but she eventually started biting at it, causing a small puncture. I put a donut collar on her to keep her from chewing on it, hoping it would heal on its own, but unfortunately it didn't. I first called two other veterinary clinics to schedule an appointment. One told me I would have to wait a week, and the other didn't have any available appointments. They referred me to an animal hospital that was closed on weekends. I searched Yelp for a place I could trust to take care of my girl, and I'm so grateful I found Orange Friendly Animal Hospital. They were able to see her the same day I called, and one of the things I really appreciated is that they're open until 8:00 p.m. and are also open on weekends. One thing that surprised me was that I could send a picture of my dog's wound to one of their team members. Dr. Nguyen reviewed the photo, personally called me to share his observations, and explained the options. That level of care and communication gave me so much peace of mind. Everyone on the staff was welcoming, compassionate, and helpful. Dr. Nguyen was incredibly kind and took the time to explain everything clearly to my sister and me. I truly recommend Orange Friendly Animal Hospital to anyone looking for an excellent veterinarian and a caring team. I've had two visits so far. Unfortunately our first visit, we had to say goodbye to our sweet little Benji. It was ultimately the hardest decision our family had to make. The staff and doctor showed great compassion and was extremely caring while we said goodbye. They let us take our time and explained everything to us in great detail. We cremated him and received his ashes is a beautiful urn in less than a week. Saying goodbye to your furry friend is never easy, but we found a place where we felt safe to leave him with and got the chance to say our final goodbyes. We were able to stay with him until the very end. I'm sure he's now in doggy heaven living his best life - sunbathing to his hearts content and getting all the scratches, and treats. Our second visit, Mochi had to come in because she jumped out of our parked car and landed head first in the pavement. We wanted to make sure she didn't have any concussion or serious injuries. We were able to be seen the same day. We didn't feel pressured to pay for any additional services. After meeting the doctor, he gave us some antibiotics because she was throwing up, but he didn't suspect it was due to the fall and had to do with something she probably ate. He said we could do x-rays if we wanted to, but wasn't pushing for it. We felt confident with the treatment plan and left. Mochi is now doing great and was back to her normal self after a day. read more

Dr. Nguyen is truly heaven-sent. I've never met a veterinarian who cares as deeply about my dogs and takes the time to really listen to every concern I have. He explains everything so clearly and thoroughly, which I really appreciate. When my previous vet couldn't fit us in during an emergency, Dr. Nguyen and his team immediately stepped in to help. During one of the hardest moments for our family, they showed incredible compassion while helping one of my babies cross the rainbow bridge. The care and kindness they showed meant everything to us and truly proved how much they care about their patients. Another amazing thing about Dr. Nguyen is that he will go through the bloodwork thorougly. He went through each category in detail and explained what everything meant. I've been to other vets before, but I've never received that level of explanation and care. It made me feel so much more informed and reassured. The facility is very clean, and the staff is always sweet, attentive, and welcoming. I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Nguyen and his team. Where do I begin with this vet hospital? The staff is absolutely incredible and kind, and I love the brand new facility, which is much closer to me than their hospital in Huntington Beach. Dr. Nguyen is an all-star doctor who knows exactly what to do in every situation. My pup Archer has a long history of ear infections, and Johnny gave us the right solution to fix things. I like them. I have another vet a little further away but I saw this spot being built and was very curious so I took them up on their $27/ first exam for new patients offer. The doctor got on Einstein's level, very knowledgeable of Stein's symptoms and had a few options for what he recommended was the best course of treatment. He mentioned we could try some of the antibiotics as like a trial run and if it didn't workout, we could try something else. The rooms are very clean, I like that they have marble benches to sit on, it's not the gross cushion ones you're scared of what might have happened to them in the past. No bleach or urine smell. I have had too many experiences when some very emotionally detached veterinarian and their staff, man handles and terrorizes my cat(s), while telling me it's ok. Dr. Johnny Nguyen, is the opposite of this in every way. After my beloved Dr. Kathy retired, I needed a new veterinarian... I unequivocally recommend this office - From the first phone call to check out and everything in between. The staff are friendly, patient, kind, helpful, welcoming and listen and explain everything. The facility is brand new, has amazing technology and a comfortable atmosphere. I never felt pressured into expensive procedures. I have often felt shamed by vets when I choose not to accept all of their suggestions, like I am a crappy animal owner because I choose not to have a 300 exploratory blood test. Dr. Johnny spoke softly, handled my babies gently, they all LOVED HIM!!! Additionally, my cat has an interesting genetic anomaly, which he continued to research and send information, well after my appointment. He was knowledgeable without being condescending, and truly seems to like animals! And to no fault of their own, are dealing with a torn up parking lot. Hands down the best vet in Orange County, Dr. Johnny and his whole entire staff takes such good care of my chow chows. Both my boys absolutely hate the vet but everyone at the office is so patient with them and knows exactly how to handle them. Initially, I took my French Bulldog to another pet hospital. After spending over an hour speaking with the medical staff, I left feeling uncomfortable and frustrated. I had to explain my dog's symptoms to four different people, which felt disorganized. Grooming Review! Our dogs have been Groomed by Jessica for Years. Jessica is gentle, patient and our dogs love her. She was wonderful with our grumpy senior dog that was turned away by two different groomers. She took her time gaining his trust. Bailey is pug/Jack mix and enjoys her grooming as well. Carmen is our 9 year old maltipoo that lost her eyesight about a year ago and Jessica is wonderful and meticulous with her cut. My husband and I highly recommend Jessica for grooming. Came here to get my English bulldog treated after he scratched his eye, and ear infection. Took care of him right away. This is definitely the best Animal Vet I've been to in a long time. Even though I live all the way in the SGV, we always make the long drives. My dog wasn't eating and we suspected dental issues but Dr. Nguyen and team took great care of him! I had high hopes but when I went in for our appointment everything they'd told me on the phone was a lie just to get us in and all of a sudden they had all kinds of hidden charges and fees which was a complete scam. We walked out! Gross. Stay far away from this place! Your reply is incorrect and INAPPROPRIATE! I very specifically spoke to the receptionist when making my appointment about my pet, medication, and any labs that had already been drawn and much more, in great detail! So much so I felt the office might genuinely care about my pet which is why we came in. Malinois are known for being pretty reserved, and Brux is no exception--he's not the easiest dog to win over. But Dr. Johnny always does an incredible job treating him. Vet was recommended by some friends who have brought many pets there. I have since had one of my dogs spayed there and had them assess and treat both of my dogs ear and eye issues. I watched while they worked on the dogs and they did a thorough job. My dogs never seemed to behave at my usual veterinarian but they seemed to really be calm at Orange Friendly. I had the most amazing experience at this clinic. My 1 year old dog Penny got bit my another dog at day care and had a big laceration on her face. I called this clinic at 6pm and they were able to see my Penny right away. Dr. Nguyen was so gentle and kind with my Penny and very thorough. The entire staff was so friendly, kind and warm. My Penny had to have sedation with sutures and you could barely even tell she had a gash on her face after she was all stitched up. I will definitely be coming back to this clinic. Took in my Senior Miniature Poodle Natasha (11 years old) . She was throwing up, Not eating, Not drinking water, not pooping & was so weak that she couldn't even walk for almost 2 days !!!. I took her to Orange Friendly Animal Hospital and they took care of her right away. They gave her IV , antibiotic, did FULL blood work& and x rays , Vitamins, Pain medicine , medicine to stop throwing up and medicine to give her appetite ( only lasts 24 hours) After the 24 hours was over. She was back to normal. Eating perfect, Drinking water, Being her playful self & doing better then ever almost a week later. I'm so thankful for Doctor to Nguyen for helping us & saving our baby & staying till almost 10:30pm They even went out of their way & called us the following day to check up on her to see how she was doing. My cat was scheduled for a neuter so I dropped him off and left but Dr. Johnny found out that my cat had cryptorchid so they called me to inform me that it will cost more since they have to cut his inguinal and remove it. Amazing all around!! I had an emergency with my cat Remi, she had a large laceration on her neck and needed urgent care. I've been in situations where I've taken advice from yelp reviews claiming places are affordable and once there , the doctors try pushing for unnecessary treatments, tests and everything in between.
