I don't know how she did it, but she managed to remove all of Penelope's fur, and my floors were absolutely gleaming. I arrived 40 minutes later to find a toddler inside my million-dollar home, throwing monster trucks onto custom cabinetry and bamboo floors. I was shocked. I don't have children, and the idea of a toddler being in my home--both for the safety of my property and the child--was completely unacceptable. The owner tried to smooth things over but offered no discount or acknowledgment of how inappropriate and unprofessional this was. They came back to "redo" the cleaning, and within just a few hours they claimed they were done. Dust behind the toilets was still there. They insisted I check everything on the spot, but anyone who has ever moved knows that you cannot catch every detail when you're juggling a dozen tasks--especially when you're paying professionals to handle it. When my partner arrived, she opened the microwave and oven. Both were still dirty, and with nothing more than a damp paper towel, everything wiped clean effortlessly. That alone told me the job had not been done properly the first--or second--time. I paid them just to be done with the situation, but looking back, I shouldn't have paid the owner anything. From what I understand, she charges an outrageous amount and only pays the cleaners around $100 each, which is incredibly unfair.
