I'm traveling through Corsicana on my way to Galveston. I stopped at this lovely little restaurant whose motto is Southern Comfort Food. I could not agree more! I asked the gentleman who sat me what was their specialty and he said chicken fried steak. So, I tried the chicken fried steak. It is literally the best chicken fried steak I've ever had. I also got a cup of the chicken and dumpling soup. It is dumplings and dumplings and more delicious dumplings. BONUS! They have a smaller portion available. We stopped in for dinner here passing through and had a good experience. It had been awhile since we had been to a Cotton Patch Cafe, so my wife was craving the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and white gravy. She loved it. My daughter enjoyed her burger and fries. I tried the steak fingers and they were ok. They had a little too much breading for my liking, but they were still good. The Cajun cheese bites were a good appetizer. They had a little kick to them, but not overpowering. This location is spacious with plenty of tables and booths and some seating at the bar. We were able to get a seat without a wait (6pm Friday). Havent been to a Cotton Patch in a few years. Was always a good choice. This visit was on our way home from an out of town trip. Several positives: we were greeted and seated fairly quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive. Another off duty staff was very kind. Their new teas with flavoring is delicious! I ended up getting a gallon of chai and one mint to take home. Rolls were different than I recall. Smaller and not as good. My shrimp were very greasy which Ive never had a greasy seafood platter here before. Fries were barely warm and maybe not cooked thoroughly. Bathroom had water everywhere on the floor and a bucket capturing water from ceiling link - maybe AC pan overflowing? 2.25 stars... (11/23/2025) Very disappointing. Cotton Patch has always been reliable before but today was a bummer. We have eaten here many times before. Today, there were 5 of us. Not sure if there is new management but the 1st thing we noticed were the rolls. Not only were they considerably smaller but they were cold and didn't taste fresh. When they brought our entrées, the plates were hot but the food itself was luke warm at best. 2 of us had the Chicken Fried Steak, 1 had the Tilapia plate, 1 had the Shrimp plate and 1 had the Meatloaf plate. The one with the Meatloaf ate only several bites. I will give the management credit since they did not charge her for the Meatloaf plate. Granted it was busy but we were still surprised at the lack of quality. Hopefully, this was just an aberration. read more

I had the Caesar salad and I was hooked they make there own Caesar dressing I had to ask the manager if I can buy the dressing he was so nice he said yes... Oh man, I am still full. It's been 3 hours. Excellent gravy- and this is coming from someone who doesn't like gravy all that much so I always get it on the side to be sure each bite has the right amount... I could have drank this stuff from the little plastic cup. (I didn't.. but I could have) Kids eat free Wednesdays! There was some fine print- I think it said with an entree over $10? But it isn't Wednesday so I didn't pay as much attention to that. We had chicken fried chicken with okra and broccoli. Well, my son had broccoli... all of the broccoli. So I assume that was tasty bc he wouldn't let me have any. Slightly slow service and very small restroom and a sink was broken or I would give it 5 stars. But overall this will probably be our lunch stop from now on when we are heading to the lake house. Unless we are in a hurry anyway, then we might have to do fast food. read more

My wife and I traveled from Hutto to Corsicana to see family for Mother's Day. We didn't arrive in time to have lunch with them at the Corsicana Cotton Patch but decided to stop there for a late lunch/early dinner anyway. When we were ready to order, I asked the waitress if I could get the Dr. Pepper Jalapeño Burger with mayo instead of the Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce and she said I could so that's what I ordered with a side of fries. My wife ordered the Steak Fingers. When we received our meals, the hamburger was not how I ordered it, it had the BBQ sauce not the mayo that I had ordered and the fries were limp and seemed to have been sitting under a warmer for a while. We were in a hurry to catch up with our family or else I would have sent the whole plate back. When our waitress brought our check, I told her how my burger was not made to order but she just shrugged it off. All was not lost as my wife's Steak Fingers were tasty and amply portioned and she graciously shared some of the with me. My wife and I have had many great meals at the Cotton Patch in Round Rock. This was our first meal at the Corsicana Cotton Patch, the first time I had been disappointed in my meal and the last time I'll visit this particular Cotton Patch. -1 star for burger not made to order. -1 star for fries that were not fresh -1 star for waitress not interested in my complaint of meal not cooked as ordered. read more

Hello Personally I would give this place no stars at all but this won't let you so it's just one. First off, the chips were done terribly and were chewy to the consistency of rubber. Second off, the fried pickles were as if they just fried straight chopped cucumber. Third off, our fries were cold along with every other dish. I placed my order an hour before I picked it up. I get off work and go to pick up my food to be greeted with a sign that says 'System is Down, Cash Only', would've been nice to know that when I placed the order. I go across the street to the ATM, get cash, and come back. When I walk in the door I'm greeted with 'We're Closing', no hello, no 'are you here to pick up an order?', just we're closing in a fairly rude tone of voice. I get the food home, and instead of the carrots and fries I ordered I got carrots and stemmed vegetables. It was my birthday and we were driving to Houston along with family and we chanced upon this restaurant for dinner. We ordered dual Cajun fish, chicken tenders and chipotle chicken. Today Feb 20,2020 we ate at Cotton Patch Corsicana,Tx New menu,you have cut from 2 sides to one,bake patato is a $1.00 extra,salad not a choice.I ordered loaded bake patato ,my patato not hot butter left off,put butter from rolls on patato ,wouldn't melt due To not hot enough. My daughter and I went here today for lunch at around 11am. The hostess seated us right away and was very upbeat and uplifting. Our server was Kalli, who was wonderfully pleasant, nice and pretty attentive considering that after we were seated, the restaurant became packed with the after-church crowd. I ordered the grilled pork chops with fresh Broccoli, apples and a house salad. My daughter ordered the grilled salmon and steamed vegetables. Everything was delicious and the Margarita I ordered was excellent! The prices are a little high, but I was highly satisfied with the meal and the drink was reasonably priced.
