    Brisket Baked Potato

I had been here a year or two before, so I expected to be able to get a brisket plate for lunch. When I walked in, I was told that they no longer cook BBQ. Instead, they do baked potatoes and burgers. I opted for the brisket baked potato. I noticed that they pulled the brisket from the refrigerator. They cut off a few chunks and microwaved it. They did offer to grill my jalapeños and onions, which was nice. Although there were hardly any of them in the potato. The potato was what I would consider, medium sized. It came with sour cream, butter, cheese, grilled onions and jalapeños, and the warmed up brisket. The cheese was piled on top and never really ended up melting. I did pop it in the microwave when I got home to help it melt some. There was no barbecue sauce on the potato or offered on the side. The potato and brisket were quite dry. I ended up adding my own barbecue sauce on the potato when I got home. I will probably not return, as I was not very impressed. I did enjoy their barbecue back when they were selling it! It is a shame they stopped.

Tried this place with my husband, food was amazing!! Meat portion size was a bit small, but the sides were huge. The service was really great and I can't wait to come back and try a chopped brisket sandwich. I really enjoyed both BBQ sauces they had ( Texas and Carolina) liked them better mixed up together. All in all I'd definitely say stop by this diamond in the rough, it was fantastic and the people awesome!!

    4 meat plate

Found this place while camping nearby and it was very impressive! The service was great, everyone is so friendly and the food was amazing. We got the brisket deviled eggs that were INSANE, I've never had anything like it. We also got the 4 meat plate with brisket, jalapeño sausage, and burnt ends. Everything was so delicious. Overall a great place to get some well priced bbq!

I enjoy finding little getaways from Dallas and this place is a hidden gem located in Seven Points near Cedar Creek Lake. The area is surrounded with a lot of chain restaurants, but I prefer something more adventurous. We have great BBQ spots in Texas, but what really sets this place apart is their Carolina Pork and Bbq slaw! The owner is from North Carolina, he's very friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell he is passionate and it shows in the quality of food that he serves. It's a comfortable atmosphere with a reasonably priced menu, this will definitely be my go to spot when I'm visiting my friends on the lake.

The quality has always been questionable due to small volume and the decor and ambiance leaves much to be desired!

I have heard the food is great. However I don't think the inside was as clean as I like for food prep and cooking

Must stop every time I'm in Seven Points. Haven't been disappointed yet. Would put this up against any bbq joint. Sauces are great too.

There are a few rules when it comes to Texas barbecue. The biggest is "Get there early, or leave…read morehungry." I very rarely make that mistake, but when you have over a three-hour drive to get to a spot, balancing an early arrival with meaningful sleep is no easy task. I left before 9 am and through the lengthy drive, I got to B4 Barbecue a little before noon. B4 is a little different. It's not a food truck. It's not your typical brick and mortar. B4 is housed in Mabank Feed, next to plenty of Ariat products and horse food. I expect most places in Austin to have a line, but I didn't expect B4 to wrap around the entire feed store. As I sat there waiting to order, they were selling out fast. By 12:30, they were down to Texas Twinkies and their house sausage. I ordered one of each plus a side of their Mexican Street Corn (Elote to the ball knowers). The house sausage was very solid. It was extremely juicy and firm with great flavor. However, the star of the show was the Texas Twinkie. A jalapeño stuffed with brisket, wrapped in bacon, and smoked to perfection. It wasn't too spicy, but the jalapeño created a solid base while the brisket inside was shockingly creamy and soft like the inside of a Twinkie. The smoked bacon wrap added a final touch of flavor. It was super unique and incredible. I feel honored to even get to try it. As my only side, the Mexican Street Corn rocked and had a ton of flavor throughout. The bread served on the side was Texas toast that was buttery and crispy. A very welcome change from the typical white bread slices I normally have with my barbecue. For the travelers like me, if they have the stock, the $35 sampler will get you 1 slice of everything on their menu plus 1 side. Worth it if you're riding solo and need to try a little bit of this and that. They also sell boba which I wanted to order but completely forgot to ask for while I was there. I want to go back to B4. I need to go back to B4. If this small sample was a sign, this is another heavy hitter in the world of Texas barbecue. You just have to get there before 11 if you want to try it. RIYL: Getting barbecue, boba, and horse feed all under one roof

Driving around Texas eating at places on the Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ places…read more Doing a 48 hour trip and B4 Barbeque was our first stop on Wednesday. Beware that this BBQ spot is located inside of a country feed store. The sign for the feed is large and visible from the road while the B4 sign is smaller. Parking lots of gravel lot. You enter the feed store walk through all the clothing and look to your left. We arrived at 10:45 and we were first in line. They didn't open till 11:15am as they had computer problems. You order and pay at the counter they prepare the order of food in the back and bring it out to your table. We got the 2 meat plate with 2 sides (1/2) pound of protein and we added a Texas Twinkie, The plate also includes pickles, onions, bread and BBQ sauce. The brisket looked good and tasted ok, it was sliced a bit thinner than what Zi am used to getting. The sausage was very tasty. The Texas Twinkie was a small size Twinkie not worth the price. The street corn looks beautiful and tasted delicious. The potato salad had too much vinegar for my taste. The roll was nice and warm. In my opinion B4 Barbeque is a good place to stop and eat at if you are driving by. Congrats on making the Texas Monthly Top 50 list.
