After an unsuccessful wait on a purchase from another store, we ended up at the Couch Potato. They were honest in recommending a sofabed with a small footprint, and estimated a 5-6 week wait. The couch arrived on time, and we love it! The extra thick mattress is a really cool feature, and our first guests felt the bed was quite comfortable. These guys are awesome. We had an unusual couch request - we wanted an obnoxiously large, basically-a-bed couch for our living room. Bruce found a couple options for us and we ordered one custom. It arrived yesterday, and after some "creative problem solving" with the delivery guys, it made it into the living room. I highly recommend this business if you are looking for a good couch and no high pressure sales. I bought a custom couch here a few years ago. The delivery team was on time and they were polite clean-cut guys. The couch was exactly as ordered. A few years later, the couch cushions were getting a little smashed because I had selected a softer version against Bruce's advice. Rather than sell me a new expensive couch or make a profit on ordering new cushions, he referred me to a foam place where I took my cushions and they did a great job at a reasonable price. Also, Bruce recommended small square leather ottomans which have worked out great. Good advice, great service, honest, helpful, thank you! THE place to get your sofa. Well made furniture, customized to my colors, free pillows, lots of fabrics and patterns, reasonable delivery and they take your old couch away. If you want to invest in furniture that you will have and enjoy for a long time, come here first. It was a big purchase for me, but I have never bought a NEW sofa before. Bought a sofa with chaise lounge. The couches are very customizable and you can get just about anything you're looking for with any fill in any color. Most comfortable couch i've ever owned at a decent price. It took 5ish weeks to arrive, but that was expected for being custom. They only charged $40 for delivery which was a steal since the guys had to carry fairly large couch sections up 2 flights of stairs and narrow hallways. read more

We were so pleased with our experience at Couch Potato. We were about to purchase a sectional from Basset Furniture that I liked but would have been a few inches too big for the space where we wanted to put it. We found a sectional at Couch Potato that was the perfect fit at half the price!! After I ordered I was worried it wouldn't be as comfortable or nice as the Basset one, but when it was delivered I was beyond pleased. It's a beautiful couch and super comfy. It has a fold out bed which is also very comfortable. I haven't written a Yelp review in a long time but these guys really impressed me!! After doing some research and coming up with specific parameters for a new sofa, I headed to Couch Potato. Bruce greeted me, listened to what I needed and showed me three options that could be delivered immediately. His efficient, kind and non-salesy approach was so refreshing. I selected one and Bruce arranged to have it delivered just a few hours later - impressive! His delivery team even went to the extra effort of offering to put some protectors on the legs, so as not to damage the hardwood floors. there are things in life that happen that confirm you have become an adult. not that your not still, and always will be, a kid at heart. but we all have to face the fact that one morning we will all wake up, have hemorrhoids, bad hair and no memory. i look forward to growing old, and i knew i was becoming an adult when i bought my first couch. i don't mean a craigslist couch, a keep it on the front porch so we can smoke joints, drink 40's and make fun of people walking by couch, or a hand me down from uncle john. i mean a real, brand new, tags on, full price adult couch. nobody ever taught me how to buy a new couch. so i went to the couch potato. i had a million questions that the owner, bruce, and his buddy jefferson were very patient with. they suggested i pick a print from my living room and match the couch to that. and god damn it...i matched up my framed 2002 herbie hancock at the fillmore poster to every freakin couch they had. until i found it. my dream couch...actually it's a loveseat. and it's purple velour. and it's the best thing i own in my life. i love the couch potato and all the people that work there. read more

In the end, though, you just need to sit on a lot of sofas until you get that "aha" feeling. This is the place for that. The owner knows pretty much everything about how sofas are made, what to look for, what's worth paying for (or not). He explained to us, for instance, why the least expensive of various leathers would be our best choice, which I would never have guessed on my own. We bought a couple of electrically adjustable leather recliners a few years ago and they have been really fabulous for my back. I have real back issues and they provide all the support I need with my legs raised just the right amount. Anyway we had an issue recently with the control on one chair that had nothing to do with the manufacturer, very well made chair. We contacted the new owner Jackson and he not only came over to the house to inspect the chair but also repaired it at no charge (we paid a very minor amount for parts). Plus he arranged for his employee's to both pick up and deliver our repaired chair again at no cost and both on the same day! Unheard of in my experience to turn a repair around on the same day at no charge. I cannot recommend this company highly enough and when we decide we need to replace our current chairs there's absolutely no doubt we will return to the Couch Potato. They gave us terrific advice and service buying and were more than kind and generous after the sale too, actually long after the sale. Jackson and his staff are just the best and so are their products. read more

Fantastic service, great price, and all the customisation options you could ask for. I really got the impression that the guys at Couch Potato wanted to help us first and foremost, to the point where they suggested a cheaper fabric option because the more expensive one wouldn't wear as well. It was still in excellent condition after 15 years and we sold it quickly on Craigslist for $500 with multiple people interested. We wanted reclining couches and this is what we ordered from them next. They arrived and they are beautiful! It doesnt look like much as far as appearances and ambiance go... but, they have plenty of furniture to sample- and they order it direct for a much lower overhead cost to them and to the customer- so its a win-win! The staff is very friendly and helpful, but the furniture is fool's gold. You get what you pay for. Actually, that's not even the case. I think you can get better furniture for less at Costco. I bought a faux suede chair and a 3-seat reclining couch from Couch Potato and neither have stood the test of time. The fabric on the chair dried out after 5 years and I'm replacing the couch after 4 years because it's hurting my back. I had similar feedback from a friend who bought from Couch Potato, and their couch is less than a year old. I've come to the realization that you spend most of your time at home on either your couch or in bed, so it doesn't pay to skimp on either. Lesson learned. read more
