Such an awesome experience for me and everyone we made lifetime memories for sure. My brother in law has fished with Shane before and he and his family had a great day on the water with Shane, my niece caught a 44 lb king!!! So this year after COVID and all that BS we were able to book a trip together and it didn't disappoint for sure. My in-laws kept telling me how professional Shane was and how expert he was with his ability to produce fish on a consistent basis, also they kept saying how other guides referred to him for advice on how to keep their customers productive. We were to meet our in-laws at the boat launch, we, my daughter , grand daughter and I happened to arrive first Shane asked who we were looking for at the boat launch and we introduced ourselves and got situated on his boat. While waiting for threat of our family to show up I was able to listen the interaction between Shane and the other guides. Which confirmed what my brother in-laws had mentioned, the other guides were picking Shane's brain as to what he was going to use and where he was going to fishing. Now I have been fishing recreationaly for 50 years so I know a little bit about fishing and have been on charter trips before so I was watching and listening cause that's how you learn things such as where they are and what's working to catch fish, I was impressed that Shane was happy to help his fellow guides with current and accurate information. Now when we hit water Shane set us up with the latest rig up, I won't give out his secrets, but within an hour I was limited out and my daughter hooked and released 2 wild fish that were the largest of the day. Our whole party had a awesome day, further proof of Shane's expertise manifested it self continuously as boat after boat of came by and congratulated Shane on our and his success. Shane has an affinity to connect with a multiple of people and provide them with information as to how we were having success but unfortunately for the other boats they weren't able to duplicate our success. The highlight of the trip was my daughter and granddaughter catching their first salmon, they had smiles on their faces will be a memory that will live with me forever, thanks Shane! Look bottom line if you want to catch salmon on the Colombia river in my humble opinion you must book with Shane. My family is booking a trip next year.

What I wanted to give the biggest shout out to is the staff. Particularly the staff member in the front office she was very kind and welcoming. Also the gentleman mowing the grass I believe he said his name was Griffin. My son approached him and he shut off the mower and answered every question that was asked. He was so polite and kind to my son it made his day. I definitely want to come back especially if Griffin is there, he really went out of his way to be nice and kind to my son even though that he was busy. Very good guest service.

I went to my room, and was engaged in a conversation with the guy who was working on the room upstairs. Not quite sure what his deal was, but he explained that he was busy: a busy bee, although he said he hadn't gotten any honey yet. Perhaps a friend of Walter White? I was feeling pretty good when I saw that my room had no neighbors. Just a large room with a metal door in between my room and the next. Turns out the room with the metal door had some sort of industrial equipment in it, and it let out a loud hum for the first three hours of my stay. The room I stayed in looked nothing at all like the pictures that were provided on any of the travel sites. It smelled musty, and was not well kept up. I stayed in hotels with similar reviews in Moses Lake, and they've been fine. This one was not.

This was our best fishing trip in a long time, all thanks to a great team of guides!…read moreThis was our first time fishing on the Yakima in the Spring, but Todd Fukashima and his colleague Lucas Martinez got us properly prepared for the weather, set up two days of great fishing on the best sections of the river, and made this a 5 five star experience across the board! My wife and I have fished with Todd and Lucas in past summers, with great success, so when a good friend wanted to come out West for a couple of Spring days we set up two boats for two Yakima river floats. It was chilly in the mornings but we were well geared up, and after about 10AM we had beautiful weather, great boating, and great guiding from both Lucas and Todd. Everybody caught nice fish, buy my wife's 23 inch rainbow wowed the whole crew! Nice, fat 17 to19 inch fish were boated by all of us, both nymphing and through some great dry fly action. Todd and Lucas did a great job of setting us up right, with the right flies for each part of the day and section of the river. They are both skillful guides and educators, but also just plain fun to fish with!! This was one of the best trips ever and I can't thank Todd and Lucas enough for making sure we all had a great time! Will DEFINITELY call Ellensburg when we get time to get back to this great fishery!!

Stefan not only was a great guy to talk to, but he did a simply amazing job of putting us onto fish (e.g., "after this tree, there is some soft water on the seam where it drops off so cast it right there.") He also provided clear feedback when our mends got sloppy or we were missing strikes. It was unseasonably windy and cold in June so watch the weather and bring a beanie, a good fleece, and a good shell. Overall, we had a great time and I'd recommend this service to anyone. The canyon part of the Yakima, in particular, was very beautiful. And Sarah was a dream to work with on setting things up.
