We recently had our entire kitchen done. One day, I waltzed into their building to check out their counters. Although I did not have an appointment, they were glad to help me. I never felt the pressure to buy nor did I feel as if I was steered towards another purchase. They gave me sound advice and even gave me a nice tour of the special machine they have that few people have. Pretty amazing machine I must say! The experience with them was very pleasant. I wanted a particular type of sink and they went out to order one for me at a very good price. Other places had cheated us by giving us prices that were were up to $150 more than listed prices that I found! We went to 5 places and the sq. footage they all calculated were way higher - only these guys gave us a number exactly as our designers! So even though other places had lower price per sq. foot, their total estimates came out to be about the same except that you'd wonder why they were charging for that extra 10 sq. feet! The installation was great - the guys who came were very professional, friendly and you could tell they were installing and not just "working a job". The countertop looks really good! Well cut, the seams are practically invisible and the backsplash looks GREAT! We're still getting used to this because it is our first granite countertop! But so far, amazing! Everyone at Counteredge was friendly, professional and able to produce the countertop we wanted. Maybe their price is marginally higher, but the fancy cutting technology they have is worth it alone - we have practically no seam from wall to wall. BEWARE ~ After purchasing a condo in 2014, with Counteredge performing the installation, I noticed a huge divet/mark on the corner. I told my foreman who noted it was an stone imperfection. I asked numerous people who shared this was a "horrible" fill that COunteredge should have never left. Kenny from Counteredge, visited my unit & agreed the fill was done incorrectly. Kenny attempted to assist but I never heard back from him after numerous phone calls. Finally , my property management company got involved and the owner of Counter edge visited my unit. The owner never apologized only reiterated that he hired new help...WRONG ANSWER...CounterEdge hired an outside guy to fix the filled spot which took 6 hours. It took me 18 mos to get this piece fixed. Very poor customer service @ CounterEdge. I would NEVER use them. There are too many other reputable places. read more

I don't write reviews but after reading the review from Laura B I had to write. I am a decorator and have my choice of fabricators and I selected the BEST! Jon Fox and staff did an amazing job with my own kitchen install. I defy anyone to find the seam on my counter top. I went to the showroom to view the template layout and Jon Mancini took the time to explain the best layout so seams would not show. The day of install went so smoothly even my contractor was impressed. They took the time to cover my floor and cabinets to make sure everything turned out perfect. I have seen many kitchens and granite installs and would not recommend anyone other than CounterEdge. Jon Fox was very hands on throughout the whole project and easy to contact. They held onto my granite slabs for 3 months prior to installation. I am very very pleased with the service I received. read more

My wife and I recently bought our first home, a small Boston condo with an integrated kitchen and living room. We decided to expand the countertop and wanted to replace the laminate with an interesting stone while we were at it, but it would be a significant purchase for us so we didn't want to rush into it. We found CounterEdge through Yelp, and decided to check them out based on the coupon/reviews and the amazing technology showcased on their website. Jon was very helpful in explaining all our options. We were intrigued by the Rainforest Green, so he showed us a remnant of another customers slab onsite, and then went online to show us similar slabs available at nearby distributers. He called each one ahead to make sure they had what we were looking for in stock, and sure enough, we found a slab we loved that day. It would be a month before we would be ready for installation because I needed to build a suitable support for the expanded bar area , but Jon was happy to hold our material in the meantime with a small deposit. When we were ready, Jose came to do the digital template. He was wonderfully professional and put me as ease regarding all of my concerns about precise fit, overhangs, and support. Jon responded within hours to all of my e-mails, and when our parents decided to fly in to see our new home, Jon made sure the installation would happen in time. After the templating, Jon e-mailed us a digital overlay of the cut outs from our actual slab, and was happy to send us another version rotated 180 degrees, which we ended up going with (our slab had many interesting local features so rotating changed their positions). They sent four big guys to carry up and install the two main pieces, which were 200-300lb each with no seams at all. They were careful but efficient, making sure the slabs were precisely aligned, caulking along the wall, drilling faucet holes, attaching the sink, and cleaning up well. The whole thing took less than an hour. The price was well within what we had budgeted, and we couldn't be happier with the result. It's now the centerpiece of our home! read more

AWFUL. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Customer service is awful- the staff is rude and unpleasant to work with. The emails I have received from the staff have been nothing I've experienced before. When remodeling a kitchen, I would expect to spend a decent amount of money, I would also expect to be treated with respect. The quote given to me did not accurately reflect what I had seen advertised. The price per sq foot did NOT include installing the stone, I had looked into granite and marble. It makes no sense as you can't install it yourself. The cost per sq foot also did NOT include what it costs for the template of your counter to be created. While the cost per sq foot was on par with others, when you add in these additional costs it was twice as high. All other places I have looked always advertise the installed price. When I went to ask why this was not included in their advertised price, I was told I didn't know how business worked and good luck finding someone else who can to an impeccable job for less. I don't write many reviews, but I want to share my positive experience at CounterEdge with others. Several months after purchasing a Groupon, I submitted a mark-up with measurements of my kitchen and 1/2 bath countertops to CounterEdge with a request for a quote. My fiancé had thought about installing granite for the past 2 years, so we'd already visited the big box stores and a several kitchen & bath showrooms to gain an idea of pricing for the type of granite we wanted. Since we had 2 types of granite in mind, I requested that the quote be given for each granite type, assuming there would be a difference in cost. Next day I received a reply with a quote from Jon Mancini. Having done our homework with respect to pricing, we felt the quote was reasonable, so I emailed Jon and informed him of our desire to proceed. He responded with the names and addresses of a couple of showrooms where I could view and select a granite slab for the project. Within a week of visiting one of the showrooms (CBS Exotic Stones in Winchester, MA) and selecting a slab, Jon arranged for the granite to be delivered to CounterEdge. Up until this point, my dealings with Jon and CounterEdge were entirely by email, but Jon suggested I come into CounterEdge to see the slab another time before it went to fabrication. When I arrived, Jon greeted me and gave me a brief tour of the facility, which is clean and well organized. Jon wasn't aware that I had already purchased a new sink for the kitchen, so he showed me am 18 gauge stainless steel D-bowl sink he'd set aside for me, which he indicated would be included at no charge. Although I didn't need the sink, I was impressed that Jon was going to include this sink at no charge. A few days after my visit to CounterEdge, Jose C, the templater, arrived at my home to take measurements. I wasn't home, but my fiancé informed me that Jose was very professional and made some helpful suggestions as to placement of the faucet and attachments, addition of a side splash on a wall that we had not originally planned for (to be provided at no additional charge), and the need for a wood support across a large void in the 1/2 bath vanity to support the granite that will be installed. Ten days later, 3 installers arrived and quickly got to work installing the granite. The installers were hard working, meticulous, friendly and courteous, and did a thorough clean-up before they left. They worked very well together and it was obvious to me that they had a lot of experience installing granite. The seams are virtually undetectable. Everyone I dealt with at CounterEdge was helpful, friendly and personable. At no time did I feel as if my project was unimportant to them. They took the time to fully answer all of my questions. As far as customer service and quality of work is concerned, CounterEdge went above and beyond and exceeded my every expectation. CounterEdge was a dream to work with on my recent home renovation! We remodeled 3 bathrooms and added one small countertop to our kitchen. From my first visit into the showroom through the templating and installation of all 4 countertops, I experienced friendly and professional customer service. Jon Mancini went above and beyond to communicate through all phases of the process, and helped guide me towards counters that I loved that also fit my budget. For the kitchen counter they helped me find a perfect match to my other counters from a previous project. My experience with CounterEdge was one I hope to never experience again. The sales team was inaccurate with their price- and when I questioned it as it was significantly higher than what I had been told over the phone. The response from a member of the sales team was that prices changes as they need to make sure they are making a profit too. As a customer it made me feel like I was being scammed and cheated- don't shop here if you can aviod it! read more

CounterEdge installed my kitchen countertop and they were an absolute nightmare to work with. The project manager Mike is such a complete jerk I can't believe they let him talk to customers. Whenever I asked a question, which you should be able to do when you're spending thousands of dollars, he made me feel like I was being difficult and bothering him. On top of that visits, to my home were rescheduled several times with basically no notice. Each time the new appointment was convenient to his schedule, not mine. He never acknowledged that another reschedule meant another time I had to miss work. I ended up wasting almost a week of vacation time on their no-shows. The actual quality of the work was fine - fine, not great. The guys who did the install were courteous and professional and did a decent job. But there were things I would have asked to be done differently if I didn't just want them out of my house so badly at that point. Do yourself a favor and stay away from CounterEdge. read more
