Due to a wedding in the area, our only grandson was going to celebrate his first birthday without cake for the adults. Truelove Celebrations to the rescue! While driving on a 14-hour trip, Ashley was able to work with us to develop a cake that went with the party's theme: Sheep in a Jeep. It was professional decorated with piped icing, while underneath was a delicious, moist vanilla cake. Thank you for helping some grandparents make the small get together fun for all! read more

The cupcakes are divine!! Strawberry, chocolate covered strawberry, key lime, coconut, chocolate, vanilla, red velvet...I can't pick a favorite one!! (The strawberry, though, is absolutely amazing!! ). True Love also has many other yummy creations from soups to salads and sandwiches, to cinnamon rolls and old fashioned southern cheese straws!! Need a cake fur a special occasion? Thus is the place to get one. But don't procrastinate as they quit taking orders for thanksgiving about the end of August. The cakes are in high demand. They are that good too. Customer service has become a bit stilted and arrogant due to this demand. I honestly think if they baked 10,000 cakes they'd end up needing 25 more. Italian cream is my favorite. The red velvet is popular at my house too. They make a buttery rich decadent chocolate fudge cake that never seems to come out. Go see for yourself. read more

My sister had this bakery cater her wedding with cupcakes. They were delicious. I was nearby today, so I decided to stop by. I had never been, and called my sister to ask where it was. Maybe it was just me, but I am really surprised this has a Gainesville address. It definitely felt like I was up in Cleveland. So, if you aren't familiar with the area then just know that Trueloves is on the perimeter. The cupcakes were $1 each, which I thought was a good price. I ate the strawberry, and brought home coconut, key lime, and chocolate to the commune. Everybody enjoyed it in the evening. I thought they were great... you know how strawberry frosting and cake can sometimes taste uber processed and fake? This did not. This tastes real, and sweet, and... well, definitely worth a dollar. The cupcakes weren't as fresh as at the wedding.... they were a bit more dry. They make amazing flavor filled cupcakes though, so if you are craving a strawberry or key lime then this is the place to go. I haven't had better. read more

I came here to order my 2 cupcakes because my friend had thoughtfully ordered a dozen of these delightful treats for my visit. These are hands down the BEST bakery cupcakes I have ever eaten!! EVER! I have eaten and reviewed a lot of cupcakes and bakeries, and this is my favorite!!! She is famous for her cakes, but her chicken salad & soup of the day is also delicious. It is a little hard to see from the road & tricky to get to if you're heading north on 129, but so worth it!! For people that love cupcakes (me, me, me) but have gotten burned with the fancy pants deluxe cupcakes that are like 35 bucks a dozen, then Truelove Celebrations is going to be an amazing paradise for you. These cupcakes are to die for. Not too sweet, moist, light, smooth textured and the flavors....Yummy deliciousness. Key Lime tastes tangy, strawberry like fresh berries, and the Peach...omg. I die. And that is not to say that I turn my nose up at the basic chocolate and vanilla because I do NOT. I have yet to find a flavor that makes me not want to holler. Plus fantabulous creamy frosting in perfect proportion to the cupcake itself? I am totally in love. Did I mention that they have the nerve to make flawless brownies too? What about perfect chicken salad? Pimento Cheese? Yep. All of these things. All made with love. All delicious and all perfectly priced.
