We loved Dahlonega and this was one of our favorite places we visited while in town! We met the owner who was actively making candy and giving out samples. He was kind and genuine - you can tell he is passionate about his business and customers. They have a wide selection of sugar free treats here, which is pretty rare! Everything else looked and smelled amazing as well. The owner also told us about a new business venture with coffee, which is being sold in the shop as well. I definitely recommend stopping in while in the area to support this local business!

On the stage- a White and a milk pnut butter cup. In the audience is a dark rice krispie treat, dark carmel salted pretzel and dark toffee.

The smell of this place alone tells you it's going to be great! There's a mix of chocolate and coffee that greets you from the sidewalk and pulls you in like a pie cooling on a windowsill. I was glad we ate prior to going, as I would have likely drained my bank account if I went on an empty stomach! We ordered a variety of items, and they were neatly wrapped individually, in one box. The milk chocolate was my favorite, and although I'm not usually a fan of white chocolate, I'd gladly eat it again! The raspberry truffle was one of the best I've had. You may notice it's not in my picture - only because I could not resist waiting. Everything was delicious and kept nicely for a day or two. Next time we are in the area, we will certainly stop here.

If you like sweets then you're going to love this place! This specialty food store is located across the main plaza. As soon as you go into the store a delicious baking aroma filled me. They make specialty sweets such as fudge, pecan brittle, peanut brittle, chocolates, cookies and more. I tried a piece of the peppermint fudge and liked it. I ended up trying and buying a box of pecan brittle and a box of chocolate bonbons. I recommend this place for those with a sweet tooth!

I like it!! I actually didn't step one foot inside the Fudge Factory, and instead was given a couple of bars of their fudge as a Christmas gift. The two blocks that I was gifted were the solid fudge and fudge with walnuts. The solid block was very rich and almost needed a knife to cut it. I really enjoyed the flavor of the solid block the most, The Fudge with walnuts had a nice crunch to them, and the flavor was also really good, although not as rich I don't think as the solid block of fudge. I'll have to update my review if/whenever I pay the Fudge Factory a visit so that I can talk about prices, customer service, location, etc, What I can say is it makes for a GREAT gift, especially being on the receiving end of some!

For me, the first sample (lemon) had me hooked with its delicious sweet Meyer flavor. They also have a lemon meringue ice cream, which sounds divine, but I didn't go for ice cream in addition to fudge. Maybe I'll try that next time! My wife is a candy apple adficianado, and reports that their apple pie and white chocolate apple is to die for. We let her know our preferences and what types of food we cook, and she made great suggestions. We sampled several oils and vinegars and decided on the following: Honey ginger white balsamic vinegar Toasted sesame oil (specialty oil) Black truffle oil (specialty oil) We also purchased a few bottle pour spouts to go with the oils. We've used the oils many times and love all of them! The oils and vinegar are great for stir fry, fish, salads, and more. We try to incorporate them in as many dishes as we can. Fortunately for us, most of their oils and vinegars are available for purchase and shipping on their site for when we run out!

The employee and few customers that were there when I was in the store all wore facemasks. The friendly employee was very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting some olive oils and balsamic vinegars after I let her know what kinds of flavors I preferred (hot, sweet, sour, etc.), and foods that I enjoy. I sampled a couple of balsamic vinegars, but didn't really care for any of them. I guess it's because they had strong flavors and I really need to taste them with foods, but I didn't want to buy some vinegars and find out that the flavors overpowered the food. The olive oils were different, though. I sampled about seven different olive oils - fruity, spicy, herb-y, etc., and I thought most of them were flavors that I could get into. I ended up buying two bottles: one bottle of wild anithos dill infused olive oil, and one bottle of Baklouti green chile pepper fused olive oil. I add just a little of the chile pepper olive oil to the ramen that I make at home. The Baklouti green chile pepper fused olive oil adds a hot spicy kick to anything it's added to. The wild anithos dill infused olive oil goes great with roasted potatoes or baked salmon. The dill flavor also goes a long way. I tend to like strong and bold flavors, but there are also olive oils that are a little more subtle. When you've selected the balsamic vinegar or olive oil you'd like to buy, the employee will fill a bottle right there in front of you from the big containers. The bottles are preprinted with the appropriate balsamic vinegar or olive oil name, so you won't get confused as to what's in the bottle. The employee will seal the bottle, so it's perfect for gift giving. I saw other flavors that I'd like to try the next time I'm in Dahlonega. I know I will buy more in the future. Oh ... they also sell their products online, too.
