But…read moreif you're looking for a place to eat right after leaving Shenandoah, this is a fine option. We stopped by at 11:30 for lunch on a Sunday in fall. We were told there was a 10-15 minute wait, but if we sat at the empty bar we would have to wait the same amount of time because food was behind. Not sure how that works but okay. They have a nice text system for their waitlist, so we used that. We waited in the back room, which had a few tables, a large stage, a pool table, and a jukebox. It was a fun vibe! Once we sat, we both got the cheeseburger- there's only one choice for a meat burger. It took a while to come out. The burger was pretty average. The server described it as a smash burger even though it didn't say that on the menu. The patties were a little thin, with standard toppings on a sesame seed bun. The fries were thin and nothing special. My friend called it a slightly upgraded McDonald's. Again, nothing bad but nothing special. I wouldn't come back, but there aren't many other options in Sperryville.

This was one of the few eateries along the route, spread out along the highway. I don't often get around to country town restaurants so I thought this one might be pretty good. The first thing that jumps out about this place is the beautiful vista of the golf course greenery with mountains hanging in the back. On a beautiful sunny day, the greenery on the patio just shines. Inside, there is a narrow bar area and some booths, but if you walk a few more steps in you'll find an open reception area complete with a decorated stage and some open tables, a small bar, a pool table and a juke box. It was clear of this room was for an event or if it was just another turn off of the main dining area, but it was interesting to look at nonetheless. We came around 1:30 pm, and the brunch menu was still open. We opted for the burger and fries. The burger was decent, but the fries sadly tasted a bit too crunchy and poorly seasoned. The service was decent, and thankfully we didn't have to wait too long for service or to be seated. All in all, it was a nice experience but I don't think I'd necessarily recommend this place for the food, but if you like views, this place didn't disappoint.

Stopped in for breakfast one recent, cool, rainy weekday morning…read more I ordered the Sausage Quiche - which is served with a side of crispy potatoes, plus coffee and water. When the food came out - the Quiche was cold. I went up to the counter and advised them of the situation. The Chef apologized and said they would re-make it. They advised me the Quiche was a very new addition to the menu and apparently the "thickness" of the Quiche required they heat the Quiche longer. I get that - but shouldn't the kitchen already know this? Anyhow, I'm not sure how much time elapsed as I waited for the second piece of Quiche to come out - it seemed like it was 15-20 minutes, but I can't say for sure. Fortunately, the second piece of Quiche was properly heated throughout - not a bad slice of Quiche - however, the Quiche was under-seasoned. I added a bit of black pepper and hot sauce to give it a boost. The crispy potatoes were hot and crispy, they needed a bit of salt, which I added. My server also gave me a muffin to go - that I did not order. I guess they wanted to make amends for the temperature of the first slice of Quiche. Service was good. I look forward to stopping in again. #TheBASEatBlueRidge

Apparently, currently the only day of the week they offer Brunch is on Sundays. I showed up about 11:00 am. The place was full of diners - so instead of waiting for a table, I sat at the bar. It's not a large bar - I'd say it seats approximately 9-10 people. I ordered the Boudin balls - which come with a tasty dipping sauce called "Swamp Mustard." I also ordered the Cajun Omelette - which is stuffed with "smushed Boudin balls." Comes with a side of rather unexciting breakfast potatoes. The Boudin balls were tasty - and had a nice crispy texture. The Swamp Mustard is really good with the balls. The Cajun Omelette was rather ho-hum - I was expecting and hoping for something with more complexity and heat. The smushed Boudin balls were rather bland. The Omelette was cooked properly. The breakfast potatoes were unseasoned. I'd like to try out some other menu items - I'm hoping for something that will Wow me. Paid with Apple Pay. #NewIberiaKitchen

The Plantanos (fried plantains), delicious. The Boudin ball? It was okay. But everything else? chef's kiss. Pro tip: Don't skip the Quinoa Salata (tri-color quinoa, cucumber, tomato, feta, red onion vinaigrette). It's like a fresh garden party in your mouth. And if you're lucky enough to be there on someone's birthday, you might score a free Ube bread pudding--delicious! Not an intense Ube flavor, but still a sweet, satisfying finale that'll make your taste buds do a little happy dance. The vibe is pure small-town magic--dining in the heart of rural hospitality. Service? Warm and welcoming. Ambiance? Charming enough to make you forget you're basically in the middle of nowhere. Would I drive back through the countryside just to eat here again? Absolutely. New Iberia Kitchen, you've officially stolen a piece of my foodie heart. Bon appétit, fellow wandering eaters!

Head Chef Aaron curated a beautiful five-course menu for us in advance, and every single course was exceptional. The flavors were perfectly balanced, creative, and comforting all at once -- each dish flowed seamlessly into the next and left us genuinely impressed. It was one of those meals where you pause, smile, and truly savor every bite. Pastry Chef Ebony not only created a custom anniversary cake for us -- which was absolutely delicious -- but she was also our server for the evening. Her attentiveness, warmth, and genuine care made our night feel even more special. She anticipated every need and added such a personal touch to the entire experience. We were also deeply touched by the personalized menu designed for our celebration, which read, "Happy Anniversary -- cheers to one." That simple yet thoughtful gesture meant so much to us. Sous Chef Diego and the entire team contributed to an atmosphere that felt warm, intimate, and welcoming. The ambiance was beautiful and private, and the complimentary sparkling wine was the perfect way to celebrate such an important milestone. This was our first anniversary -- the beginning of many more to come -- and Blue Rock made sure it was unforgettable. Every detail, every flavor, and every gesture reflected genuine care. We cannot recommend this place enough and are already looking forward to returning.

The interior gives upscale sports bar vibes. We chose a high top table toward the back of the restaurant. Our server ended up being the bartender too. They had $5 margaritas that night so I ordered one and we started with an order of their pierogies. There were four and they were served over a smear of their beer cheese. There were ok. I wanted more seasoning in the filling itself. It was pretty bland. For my entree I got their hot dog with chili and cheese with their housemade chips. I was pleasantly surprised to see a cheese sauce on the dog. It was pretty good. Some of the chips were pretty overcooked. The service brought this score down. I think the bartender was busy but plenty of servers were available. There was a lot of conversation at the bar. We probably should have just sat there. We missed out on drink refills, having our order taken promptly, and getting the check when we were ready to leave. Overall there were a lot of interesting things on the menu. I would want to return to see what else tasted good.
