I first walk into the outdoor seating; some in front of a walled water fountain and some parallel to Agora, the multiple-vendor shopping space this coffee lover's paradise calls home. I find thriving plants, chic furniture, and conversations awaiting me just inside the door. Per usual, I begin with an Americano but save myself the time and order a pour over at the same time. The Americano, with just enough froth on top to remind you it's not a cup of coffee, is the stuff of legends. The washed process (also called wet processing) is the perfect method as it removes all distracting notes and brings the flavors of dark fruit and molasses aspect of the toffee screaming to the forefront. It only lasted as long as it did due to the naturally high temperature of the beverage. And that Colombian medium roast. Like a sweet fruity drink you would have near the ocean, minus the cheap ingredients and nasty aftertaste. Washing over the tongue, it carries a sweetness flavor akin to tea in the deep South. That was also gone within minutes. Every visit I am greeted by friendly team members, quality coffee, and a bag of beans wanting for me to take it home (and I do of course).
