Wonderful little store with amazing service if you get to meet Kathy or some of the other kind and helpful staff. I've spent hundreds of dollars on Lilly Pulitzer here since it's local (and they have unique pieces that may have been sold out or hard to find). One blonde associate is very rude and honestly kind of snobby. I came in dressed in Lilly and with money in hand to spend on this great place I've frequented before. I asked a question and her tone of voice and demeanor was dismissive and condescending. I've been to this store a lot over the years and it's hit and miss with the staff. I try to be friendly and occasionally a younger sales person is helpful but as other reviewers have said, the older women aren't welcoming or helpful. I went there recently and I'm done. NEVER AGAIN. This store may have a great selection of Lilly Pullitzer but it is not worth walking in there to give rude people business. I have come into the store several times only to be ignored and not greeted by any of the salespeople. This has also happened to my mother when she has gone there with me. This classy little store is tucked in between Trader Joe's and Walgreens. So it is extremely convenient to do a lot of shopping at once. They have a wonderful selection of children's and women's clothing. I can always find something classic or trendy for myself and/or for my daughter. When my daughter, at 12, needed a dress to attend a wedding in Dallas, they were the only store where I could find a dress that was cute and tasteful (not skanky and age inappropriate like so many of the other stores). They also do a wonderful job of monogramming items for all ages. I have found them agreeable and knowledgeable. I like to look around without a lot of salesman input, and then get my questions answered when I am ready. They are very professional which is just how I like it! read more

Horrible employees I went in looking for a gift for my daughter who is in the Navy and is turning 21 and over seas in Japan. I was greeted and asked if I needed help. I didn't really know what I was looking for I just wanted to look around and see if anything caught my eye. A young employee followed me around the whole store the entire time I was in there. I had picked out two items and had been carrying them around with me when that employee asked if I'd like her to place them up at the register. I didn't see the need for her to do that since these two items were small. After handing them to her I began looking after the store only to keep finding this young employee following me. I thought to my self why is she following do I look like I have no money or that I'm not worthy of shopping in there store? So that is when I started moving all over there store to see if she really was following me and that it wasn't all in my head. I was right she was watching and following me everywhere I went. I was so annoyed by this and honestly hurt. I walked up to her and said she should try and not be so obvious! Then walked up to the older lady at the register and told her I was going to buy some things but I'm not now because your employee was following me all around the store. The older lady behind the counter said "oh was she helping me !!??" I said NO she was NOT and I walked out. I don't get out much on account I'm caring for my two grandchildren full time as my other daughter is serving in the Navy as well and is deployed. My husband is also in the Navy teaching the new recruits in the gun range. I have a teenage son who has many activities. So with a 9 month old and a 2 year old I don't hardly ever get alone time. I was trying to enjoy some quite time and look for a special gift for my daughter but I guess some people in this world will judge you , not sure what I was looked down on for. Country Classics is AMAZING! best Lilly APS shopping experience by far. I placed my order on Wednesday, and by Friday my order was at my door! The items were beautifully wrapped in Lilly tissue paper, and they included a personalized hand written card. I ordered from 3-4 different stores during this sale; Country Classics was the last order I placed and the first to arrive. I was hoping it wasn't true but sadly country classics is very rude. I was hoping to find a great Lilly section, but the store was way over crowded . You could hardly walking into the store without hitting junk and crap everything. Stuff was stacked floor to ceiling with no flow of organization. I am pretty sure that OSHA would shut them down for not meeting clearance needs. I actually found free gifts with purchase tagged and being resold. I bought a gift here yesterday and will not be back. The store experience was fine, they helped me choose a gift for my mother-in-law as I explained I was running late to a birthday party but guess what they did? Since my mother-in-law was in their system and we have the same last name, they CALLED HER moments after I left to tell her I'd been in! YES. When I got to the party, my mother-in-law remarked how I had just been at "her" shop. When you buy a gift, a store should have enough discretion to not TELL THE RECIPIENT that the gift was last-minute. I was mortified. They are a bunch of gossipy old ladies. Don't go. read more

This store has a very nice selection of high end brands however the people that work there are kind of snobbish, actually quite snobbish. I'm not interested in getting dressed up to shop at a store in a strip mall, seriously. You work in a shop ladies, get over yourselves!! Why the rudeness to the people that keep you open. I went in with a friend after grocery shopping and the "help" looked at us as if we shouldn't have bothered to walk in. Can't say enough about this store! Kathy, the owner, and Barbara, were absolutely amazing with their expert help and knowledge. My daughter's flower girl dresses for her wedding were discontinued by another store/vendor, and we were at a loss at what to do, as the wedding is merely weeks away. I stopped in Country Classics and explained our situation. Immediately Barbara and Kathy were helping find alternatives for us. Kathy personally interacted with a manufacturer to insure that the dresses would arrive in ample time for the wedding. Her communication and updates were fantastic, and we are thrilled that we had one less thing to worry about! This reinforces "shopping local", for the very best customer service and products. Here is the lowdown on this store. My son bought me a pricey Lilly Pulitzer item for my birthday. This was a MAJOR purchase for his budget. The item did not work for me and I had to return it. BUT---this is key, since it had been gift-wrapped by them, they would not take it back, even with receipt in hand. He was NOT told that since they were gift-wrapping it for free, that he would not be able to get his money back if need be. Needless to say, I now have $200 in credit at this pricey store. Went in today to Country Classics for a baby gift for a girlfriend of mine- they had the cutest stuff!! Such a wide assortment of books,clothes, monogrammed things etc. The woman that was helping me was so nice. I decided on a pastel name train. They even gift wrapped in the cutest pink and white checkered wrapping paper for free. I will for sure be coming back in for more baby gifts as well as stuff for my own kids. read more

Maybe this store noticed the other reviews about the customer service-- when we went in today, we had four salespeople help us here altogether. They were helpful, friendly and very accommodating of our 2-year-old toddler. We like that this store has a small "play room" where he can occupy himself when he's not busy hugging every toy on the shelves. After a long shopping trip, we were starting to check out when he began to fuss. The woman behind the counter, noticing his predicament, said she had two grandchildren his age and promptly offered him his choice of a Beanie Baby-- to keep! He, of course, grabbed two of the four in her hands-- and she let him keep both. Needless to say, this completely won us over. What other store does that? read more

NEVER AGAIN!!!! Great selection and unique gifts but service is AWFUL!!! I purchased a key chain for a gift on Saturday for my sister. I asked what was the return policy before I bought it and they said 5 days to get credit back on my credit card. If over the 5 days, store credit. My sister went to return the key chain on day 4 and was given the run around. The clerk told her that "gifts" are only returned for store credit. My sister went to the store with my original receipt and my credit card. Since the original sales person crossed off the price, it was considered a gift. Seriously????? After much discussion, the money was credited back to my card....only because they said "We will take this back but ONLY because we can't keep them on the shelf!". Don't do me any favors ladies....and keep your overcrowded and over priced store to yourself. read more

I have heard wonderful things about this store, and they are the only store in the area the will monogram almost anything. The first time I went in, I felt like I was in the movie "Pretty Woman" and was in a store I couldn't afford. The second time I went, I was completely ignored by all the sales clerks who were standing at the register looking on their phones and laughing about something. I found what I needed, paid without the clerk saying much to me, rather to the other clerks and quickly left. The third time, I called to check if they had a product I was looking for, which they said they carried, but when I arrived, the clerks we rude. I asked them about the product I was looking for, and was told they don't carry it. I then tried to explain that I just called a few hours ago inquiring about this product. The clerk, again, told me they didn't carry the product so I left. I went back as a friend told me they carried that item. When I went looking for it myself, I found it in the back. Just be prepared for rudeness when you enter, but you can find amazing things in the store. I love their products. read more

I wanted to love this store as they have some great designers, and i love supporting small businesses, but i was under-whelmed by my shopping experiences - i have been twice and both times, I have left with a sour taste. The staff has been rude and unhelpful with the exception of a college-aged girl who rang me up. I thought the first time was a fluke, but it was repeated about 3 months later. The clothes are jammed into several racks so its tough to see certain items so i needed some assistance and i was clearly "bothering" the staff. Additionally, i have a newborn and for a store that is attempting to cater to babies, I was pretty disappointed as I could have made this a North Shore go-to shop. read more

She seemed very knowledgeable about the merchandise and was able to find exactly what I wanted! I went in looking for a graduation gift for a friend, and bought a bath robe that I got monogrammed with her name on it. I came back about a week later and had it wrapped beautify! Country Classics is a wonderful store and the staff cannot be more accomodating - I have been going there for 8+ years. Everyone knows me by name and welcomes me when I walk in -- in a pinch I have called the store asked them to pick a gift for me and they have it all ready to go, gift wrapped and all! It has the best selection of LIly Pulitzer and other like designers. Everytime I wear an outfit from CC I am complimented and asked where I purchased it -- and I work in the city so this coming from the stylistas no less!
