The first time I ordered a whole bird from this truck, I murdered that bird to the bone. The chicken was so plump, tender and flavorful I felt like it was my personal Thanksgiving. At first, I thought this truck was going to taste similar to Roli Roti (as seen in your typical Bay Area Farmer's Markets)......WRONG!!!! Roli's chickens are mediocre compared to Country Grill. C.G. even serves up pork ribs that are soooo delicious. However, I was disappointed to get a slather off ribs that we're not "well done". ROTISSERIE TRUCK ACROSS FROM MY WORK For lunch if I don't bring lunch to work I need to buy a quick bite to eat as I only have an hour before I go back to work. Though there are a lot of places to eat in the Financial District some of the good eateries can be several blocks away from my work that can cut my lunch time by walking there and standing in line to order. My work is across the street where this food truck parks at the curb on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to serve rotisserie chicken. When I pass by this truck on those days I can smell the buttery chicken and see it spinning on the rotisserie rack. The taste of the chicken is delicious as it's juicy and flavorful. Having the chicken with a side order of roasted potatoes or Brussels sprouts can make this a hearty yet healthy meal. I've also had the ribs and they're succulent. However I come back for the rotisserie chicken. Is it pricy? Yes as a half chicken at this food truck costs more than a whole chicken at Lucky's, Safeway, Costco, and Food Maxx. But can you find those grocery stores in the heart of the Financial District in San Francisco? No. Though the smell of rotisserie chicken is addicting I don't buy the chicken every time I pass by this truck because this would cut my weekly budget. This place is pretty pricey for OK food. It is in the financial district. I like that it is right by the work place. I got the ribs and pataos for $15 The cause for the ribs was more of an Asian infused sauce. ( wish it was more smokey flavored) Nice set up and easy to pay. This place is great, the only reason I didn't give it 4 stars, and why I don't go there more often is that they almost NEVER have their ribs or pork loin available. You can show up at noon on the dot and nine times out of ten they'll be sold out of 2/3 of their options already. That's why I only come by when I know I want chicken. With the smell of fresh chicken and watching them spin round and round on the rotisserie, I always order way more food than I should, and end up uncomfortably full afterward. It's my fault but it just looks so good that it gets me every time. I was undecided where to have lunch, when I came to Maiden Alley and saw the their sign saw they are serving food in the alley. I got the ribs and roasted sprouts. Huge plate but $21.85 seems super expensive even for this area. They should make the size smaller and charge less. I also didn't like that they don't post the different fee for the ribs. They give the appearance they are charging for lunch between $8 and $15. Chicken was moist but expensive, roasted potatoes overlooked and chewy. Slab of ribs was dry and tasteless. The rib sauce taste like hoisin sauce. Price was pretty expensive. 17 for a whole chicken, 13 for 4 pieces of ribs and 2 dollars for a tiny bit of overlooked potatoes. This is a try once and never come back again place. read more

They must have some sort of WunderSmell generator hidden on the truck because it sure as hell ain't coming off the food. Ordered a half bird and a side of potatoes. Couldn't distinguish one from the other or the paper bag it came in because they were all soaked in the same flavorless grease. So learn how to flavor the grease properly (you can do it guys!) and I'll be back with a positive review.
