    Bacon!

I've been to Country Harvest (Camarillo location) twice now, once in person and once for takeout and this really is a great little breakfast/lunch spot. I was pretty sad when the last breakfast business here left but thankful that Country Harvest picked up right where the last place left off. I'm also happy to report that this spot is good for both dine in and takeout. Sometimes breakfast foods don't taste great when you get them delivered but thankfully here it's good. The two reasons I like this place is 1. Large menu and 2. Delicious food. Decor and service were fine, very local breakfast cafe vibes. Staff hustling around and were nice but also nothing exceptionally memorable to note. But like I said the food is so good that I am happy to give them 5 stars. I like a good mix of their breakfast and lunch dishes. They have great bacon here and I appreciate when I asked for it more done they did it right. Wasn't burnt but had a nice crisp. Their breakfast plates with hash browns and eggs were also good. My favorite dish here though is the Reuben sandwich! Omg yum! I'll come back time and time again for this dish because they always execute it perfectly. The pastrami is perfection and I love the spicy mayo they add. Of course to be more like a traditional Rueben I get a side of thousand island for dipping and this is definitely my comfort dish. I get a side of large fries and the dish is complete. Definitely a cheat meal but oh so good. Definitely love the food here and if you're okay with a no frills breakfast spot this place has great food that keeps me coming back.

I love this place! Good fast service and good vibes, food is always good I'm a sucker for country style breakfasts, live me eggs and bacon and they give you a generous serving of bacon with that plate, love the biscuit and gravy optional upgrade for only $1 and everything is yummy !

Tri tip omelette with home fries

I really wanted to love this spot! The interior is really cute old school country cafe vibes, well kept clean and welcoming. i was seated right away and my order was taken promptly. Friendly and attentive service! They have specials that are not listed on the menu on a blackboard inside, and i ordered the tri tip omelette from there. I was so excited as i love tri tip and love omelettes so this seemed like the best of both worlds, and it was recommended over the fajita omelette. I was given the heads up that it came with chili on it, but where i am from that means salsa. So i was expecting a chile salsa, to which i agreed and confirmed my order. In my community omelettes with salsa is common. Additionally i was given the option to add onions on the omelette to which I said yes. I also ordered home fries as my side. When my orded arrived it was an omelette with chili beans on it. I normally enjoy chili beans but found this combo to be odd. The flavors did not pair well in my opinion. The tri tip was also not very flavorful and the onions were added on top of the chili beans and were raw. Not that there is anything wrong with raw white onions but on an omellete topped with chili beans, never had that before, it just wasnt very appetizing. I was expecting the onions to be cooked in the omelette. And my home fries had no seasoning on them :( not what i am used to. i will say thay i would like to return and try a different dish. Many of their dishes looked yummy and they have fair prices, i just would not order the tri tip omelette again and would ask for plenty of seasoning on the home fries.

The dingy brown exterior of this strip mall probably deters a lot of people from trying this place. If you get past that small obstacle and walk inside, you'll wonder why you've waited so long to go inside. The interior has a cute country diner theme and it is spotless. The breakfast menu doesn't have any unusual items on it, but everything is executed memorably well; as good if not better than the best breakfast places in town. The quality of the food will bring you back for another visit. The chile Colorado omlette had tender, flavorful chunks of meat. Whoever made it clearly knows what they're doing. The breakfast burrito with sausage was perfection. The enchilada sauce was subtly flavored and the eggs and sausage were excellent. The hash browns were crispy, and the coffee was good as well. The service was prompt and friendly. 4.75 stars rounded up!

Traditional sausage and eggs!! Definitely the best sausage around.

The menu is super customizable, which is perfect if you're not into typical breakfast plates or just want things your way. Everything comes out hot and the flavors are both classic and unique. The Eggs Benedicts are a must, especially the Baja-style version with chorizo, avocado, and that smoky chipotle hollandaise (drooling thinking about it now). The bacon sriracha burrito is flavorful without being overly spicy, and the chicken fried steak is tender, comforting, and exactly what you want it to be. Do NOT skip the mojo potatoes or the hash cake, they're both top-tier sides. Food is definitely the star here. In our experience the drinks are just OK. The lattes don't quite feel like cafe craft quality, but they do the job. They do a good cup of regular ole joe though. Service is friendly, welcoming, but not efficient. The staff tries their absolute best, but if you're in a hurry you'll need to waive them down each and every time. Weekend waits can be as long as 45 mins to an hour with you constantly having to check in on your status, guess that's a good thing! If you love discovering hidden gems with great food and a cozy neighborhood feel, Old Town Cafe is absolutely worth the stop. Breakfast done right.

We were ready for some hot breakfast, quickly looked at restaurants near me , got off the freeway at the next exit because "Hidden Cafe" popped up. Good reviews, 3 minutes away. We arrived at the same time as another party, they had 4. 3 adults 1 highchair. The rude , older lady with dark hair asked how many we had after them, than jumped back to that group and asked where they wanted to sit, etc. Sat them immediately. Outside. They got asked drinks immediately. Clearly she was overwhelmed two parties walked in at the same exact time. Now I have worked in the restaurant industry for many years, I was a waitress. I 100% understood why she may of been overwhelmed at that moment. 2 groups walking in at the same time, my group being a party of 6. 4 kids 2 adults. We were patient and waited for about 5 minutes before she sent the young busser kid out to seat us. I was holding my puppy in a dog carrier , I asked if we could sit outside. There is a sign on the door that says no dogs inside dining area. He said "no there is a table in the back at the inside patio" I pointed to the sign, said "I have a dog" he said "it's okay" so we walked in and sat down. We picked what we wanted to drink, we picked what we wanted to eat, all in our heads though. Because NOBODY ever came to us once we were sat down! My daughter was able to finish a whole coloring page before anyone even walked over to us. That's coloring in the lines and no scribbling. Not even a quick snotty "I'll be right with you" we didn't get 1 word. A bunch of ignores and glares. The server walked to an already established checked out table next to us to refill their drink, we didn't even have water let alone a hello. The dishwasher looked confused why we were the ONLY table in the whole entire place not being helped. The young boy who sat us, looked confused. We got up and left. The blonde server and the dark hair rude old lady , STILL didn't say a word when we walked past them to leave. Rest assured, they ran to where we sat to see what we left. Weird they all knew where the table was when we weren't sitting there. This crap of a service can stay hidden. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! I have NEVER been treated this way. I have NEVER walked out of a restaurant after I have sat down. We have never felt so uncomfortable, and unwelcomed in a restaurant. So thank you, hidden cafe for the most unexpected, rudest experience of our vacation.
