    Bakery goods

Small bakery with a decent selection of baked goods. We tried the breakfast burrito subbed with carne asada, lengua and pastor tacos, and a chicken tamale. Overall, quality was just mediocre. There is also a 3.5% fee to use a credit card.

Cute little Panaderia in Camarillo for breakfast and brunch. I'd be hearing good things about this spot but I'm not much of a sweets girl so hadn't wandered in but that finally changed today. After my morning workout I really wanted something filling but that I could take with me on the go. This bakery isn't far from my gym and a tamale felt like it would totally hit the spot. Parking is a breeze here there is plenty. I've heard and seen this place get pretty busy in the morning so for a better selection of bakery goods might help to come early. I can around 9am and there was just a short line inside. Not too busy but not dead. The pastry and breads case was beautiful. So many items to choose from it can be a little overwhelming in a good way. I am no expert on Mexican desserts and breads, as I said I don't have much of a sweet tooth but I did walk away with a cake/bread with frosting and sprinkles just because I wanted to be adventurous. Their hot foods menu is small but definitely has all of the major staples one would want for breakfast and lunch. There were breakfast plates, burritos, tacos, tortas, and tamales. A good variety. They had some pre-squeezed juices lined up and not too many cakes or pastries out yet on the main shelves, those might come out closer to lunch. I got a pork tamale and I can say it was delicious. The best tamale I've had in Camarillo so far. It was moist and flavorful. A good size but not huge. The pork has a small hint of spice and was very tasty. I will definitely be back for their tamales know that I know how good they are here. Staff were friendly and efficient at moving the line. The gentlemen that helped me at the counter spoke to me in Spanish and we made it work. Very friendly and nice. He rang me up and grabbed me a fresh tamale, I was in and out of there quick. Nice people work here and the tamales are delicious, I will be back.

Christian did an amazing job decorating our cake for a special holiday event! Yummy cake, great service.

Such a beautiful job decorating a cake for our holiday event Thank you Christian. The cake was yummy, the service was excellent and the prices are very reasonable.

Wanted to love this place. Did not love the pan. Got polvorones and bolillo. Not very good. Clean place and great service. Bought masa for tamales and it was good! We are still fans of another bakery in Oxnard for the masa but it's so expensive now. This place is affordable and the tamales came out great. Masa here is $2.50 a lb and it's tasty. I think that's why I'd rate them a close 4. It's hard to find a good masa place. Only the pan I didn't like. My fam and I will be purchasing masa here from now on. I would not recommend the pan as the flavor isn't there for me.The bolillo was not what I'm used to and just a different texture. Just not my preference. You may like it .. check them out! I do think their pan and other items they offer are a more reasonable price than other places.

Ordered food for my jobs team meeting. I loved my simple burrito. The ingredients are really fresh and I'm a big fan of the red salsa.

I ordered same day. Gave them an inspo pic and they delivered! Beautiful detail. Pearls, pink, and small "flowers". I can always count on this bakery to exceed my expectations. Very friendly as well.

In my opinion Very disappointed food used to be good. Ordered the asada plate, the rice felt hard and not cooked, beans were flavorless. The asada was thought almost rubbery. Ended up not finishing up my lunch and tossed the food in the trash.

Yeah I thought their cake making improvements improved I was 100% WRONG!!! I'm done ordering from them AT ALL I came to pick up my husbands cake and got a brown cake with yellow icing on it. WTH is that. (I smudged the letters that was my bad) BUT how do you mess up this badly, I showed them this inspired pic and to make it like this except the money and they gave me that.... I told them it was fine that they couldn't add the exact gold that this yellow was fine but what happened to the rest of the yellow where it was supposed to be?! I had to resort and put whipped cream around the cake because I was so embarrassed to give my husband the cake. Good job at ruining it!!!!!

Tres Leches with fresh Strawberries in the center and whipped cream icing

One of the best tasting tres Leches cakes I've had! This is a very friendly family bakery with great service. I ordered a simple sheet cake for a Baby Shower. It was well priced, nicely decorated, fresh and delicious!! Everyone raved about how good it tasted! I will definitely be back!

It's nearly impossible to reach a live person, and the whole experience was incredibly frustrating. Second, I can't say enough about Manny, the GM at Rosa Madera. Even though the problem wasn't the restaurant's fault, he handled the situation with genuine care, professionalism, and integrity. He made me feel like my experience truly mattered, and that's something you don't forget. My order was so completely wrong that he immediately knew exactly which order it was. He took ownership of a situation he didn't create, and that's the mark of exceptional leadership. Rosa Madera is fortunate to have Manny. Because of the way he treated me, they've earned a loyal customer. Oh, and the food was incredible! We had the camarones zarandeados and the queso fundido, and both were absolutely amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Rosa Madera. I sincerely hope Manny receives the recognition he deserves for representing Rosa Madera so well. Great managers make a lasting impression, and he certainly did that!

Even though the food wasn't impressive this time, the customer service was! We sat on the lovely enclosed patio. Vanessa was our server. Her service was 5 star! She was friendly, checked in on us, and all around went above and beyond! The food was pretty good. I got the single portion chicken fajitas. The chicken was very tender. The dish as a whole was lacking flavor. Dare I say it could have even used salt. I was a bit disappointed, but very hungry. I ate half and took the rest home. My mom got the 2 item combo with a chili relleno and beef taco. She loves chili rellenos, but was not happy with hers. Her plate was covered in cheese, but the relleno had no sauce she said. The taco was just beef with a little cheese and a few strands of lettuce. Nothing like the pictures on Yelp. My dad got the taco burrito and he enjoyed his! We loved the chips, salsa, and bean dip! The young guy refilling chips/dip was on top of everything and very sweet! Although we weren't impressed this time with the taste of the food, I will definitely be back to try again!

I shared this delight with my husband and we both enjoyed it. We tried a couple of the giant pastries that were on trays in a baking rack. You use a provided pair of tongs or plastic bag to pull your choice of pastry from the various trays. We tried two different croissant style confections and both were a hit. Though I have to say these were huge and we brought them home to eat them over a couple of days The fiilings are not overly sweet and have unique tastes like mango or pineapple. The crust is not flaky like a croissant nor is it dense like a cake but something in between with the creamy filling. There are picnic type tables outside on a narrow patio that you may have to clean off yourself if the previous patrons haven't tidied up after themselves. Inside, there's a wonderful, immaculately clean dining area with classic Mexican barrel chairs and tables. The floor is covered in dark tiles and it is very spacious. I really love their albondigas soup and that's one of my favs. Never steers me wrong. Also their crunchy shell tacos aren't bad. I came for a beef taco with rice and beans and was pleasantly surprised.
